  1. JT, This doesn't sound even vaguely familar to me You have my curiousity peaked, I hope someone finds it, Flex???
  2. Both books were great, excellent entertainment for the recent season of heavy snowfalls, yet still enough about shooting to keep the mind & motivation on the goals. I e-mailed Al Voth and asked if he had another book in the works, and luckily he does. I can't wait!
  3. I'd take two. In fact, if you don't end up carrying them maybe you would be kind enough to let us know how to contact the fella who's peddling them. Here's Arredondo's version: http://www.arredondoaccessories.com/A_reload.cfm
  4. The Nike Trigo's are on clearance right now for a pretty decent price: http://www.altrec.com/shop/detail/13762/
  5. Old Springfield Armory that started life as a GI looking gun. Work on it has been done by first Wilson (many years ago), then Middlebrooks, and some work myself. Gun has been tightened Kart barrel Ed Brown bushing SVI tri-glide Koenig hammer & EGW sear for 3.2 lb pull Wilson rear sight w/serrated front sight flat S&A magwell that's been bevel a little Wilson beaver (hey, that's a nice beaver you have there, LOL) Wilson ambi safety Aftec extractor EGW guide rod w/one Wilson buff 14 lb ISMI recoil spring & 15 lb ISMI hammer spring flattop & serrated slide, lowered & flared Barnhart grit grips gun has 28k through it drawn from a Blade-Tech straight drop no fancy checkering or serrations, but I hope to fix that in 2004
  6. It's interesting that Rob was already shooting right handed even though he's a lefty, I would have figured, as a kid, he would shoot instinctively with his dominant hand.
  7. I wanted to shoot my 45, with 170PF loads, in ESP just to punch the master card, no can do....
  8. They said the mag will extend below the frame. Overall the mag will be approx 1/2" shorter than their 10 rnd 45 mags. They seem like first rate folks up there, I spoke with both Derek and the VP and they were very helpful, and curious as to what I wanted.
  9. Here's the scoop: Metalform is in the testing stage of 10 round mags for 40/10 singlestacks. The mags should be available around May, BUT you can preorder. The part numbers and approximate prices will be: 10-7107 $30.00 $16.00 $14.00 $13.00 10-7107B $33.00 $18.00 $15.00 $13.50 40SW-7103 $33.00 $18.00 $15.00 $13.50 40SW-7103B $36.00 $20.00 $16.00 $14.00 where the quantities are (from left to right) 0-9, 10-49, 50-499, and 500-1000.
  10. My 1911 with the BoMar or Wilson rear sight BARELY fits in the box using the extended Wilson basepads. No prob with the standard Wilson basepad.
  11. Maybe if Phil is lurking he can answer these questions, if not maybe a forum member can help me out. Is Phil's shop open yet? Where is it exactly? Did he mention he will have an indoor range? Will he be selling competition stuff, or just tactical stuff? I can't wait to check it out...
  12. Today I classified Master in SSP with a Glock 17. As a spoiled 1911 shooter this was quite an accomplishment for me. I am already a CDP Master, and hope to get ESP Master this year (I'm waiting on two SS 1911's from EGW). Anyway, I'm stoked!!!!!
  13. Jake, Make sure you watch the Sid on Sid additional skit, assuming you have it on DVD, it's hilarious.
  14. Quote: from phara on 3:54 pm on Jan. 22, 2003 I just ordered the Weigand sight. Thanks for the post. I've been looking for a sight with a deeper notch. The factory notch is a little claustrophobic for me, especially when shooting plates. Paul Please let us know what you think of it once you have a chance to check it out.
  15. Quote: from Pat Harrison on 11:03 am on Jan. 22, 2003 I haven't seen them, will they sell for under $20,000? Yes, you can get a nice one for in the teens. Stock they run low 13's in the 1/4 mile. All you have to do is add a sway bar.....
  16. Pat, I know you steer clear of domestics, but can't you see yourself is a GMC Typhoon or Syclone??? http://www.syty.org/
  17. Similar results here, I've dealt with 300lbgorilla, DBChaffin & THS all with fantastic service, very trustworthy folks to do business with.
  18. Has anyone used the Weigand rear sight blade before: http://www.weigandcombat.com/smith_wesson_rear_blade.html If so, have your experiences been good? I love the sight picture it provides, but I can do away with the S&W rear sight and throw on a brand new, probably more durable, Millet rear sight for about $5 less! Does anyone have both the Weigand blade and a Millett to provide a comparison of the sight pictures? Any advice or comments are appreciated.
  19. What ever happened to the USPSA forums? The link doesn't work!
  20. Jake, Nice job! I'm still tickled from my first and only sub-2 second BD. But 1.5 seconds? That's quite an accomplishment.
  21. I think it's Pro-Mag or maybe MecGar if you're lucky. They make a removeable base .40/.45 mag. They supply it with two bases. One holds 8/.45 - 9/.40 the other 9/.45 and 10/.40 It is only a smidge longer than a regular mag, might be the hot ticket. I know Tillman had some on his table back at Area6. Don't know other than that.... Does anyone know who makes these mags and where to get them? I searched Pro-mag and Mecgar's websites but found nothing. I then went to Tillman's website (www.tillmaninternational.com) and it was unavailable. Anyone?
