I lubed mine before, not sure it helped much. Lift ram a few inches then loosen the 2 flathead screws on the left and right side as u stand in front of the press. Head pulls off. Pop erings or cringes off the bottom end pull shafts, remove.
Pull the ram handle at halfway point, then manually turn shaft by the index wheel that normally the pals move. With plate removed it should be smooth, if not then I guess u need to disassemble and lube internals.
Well I have a 1050 and just want to say IMO forget the Hornady rings, the flats suck...I like the small RCBS, if the Lyman are the same size as RCBS and lock by not going into die threads that would be best...
Turret. 100% uptime. Hone your reloading skills. Pro1000 may run may not. At your stage half your time will be fiddling on the press. The turret u will keep and use forever....
Us lead shooters can load them just fine on a Dillon (S1050), but the bullet gets swaged in the process....if I remove the powder check and install a M-Die problem solved....I would like the option of having the Dillon powder funnel do what the M-Die does...have funnels available ad an option to buy.
