  1. +1 on WFT .223 is a ton of work IMO for plinking. I did 5000 and tabulated my time OMG I wish I would have bought the ammo when deals were around.
  2. Are there replacement locking screws available to buy for the C-mores? (torx or normal flatblde screws) I just bought my first C-more and the locking screw is not tight (I can easily adjust the windage) but when I went to try and tighten the locking screw I put as much force as I felt comfortable with and it would not move??? With those small allen you don't have much leverage to begin with...Not that I am looking to apply extream force, the base is plastic and I intend to be careful. I hate to send this thing back. I was thinking of gently taking a dremel cutting wheel to the center and scoring a straight cut so a screwdriver could be used.

    147GR or 124GR

What did you have to do?
  5. This is probably hard to answer but I'll ask..do to my lack of experience. So would would the hardness S&B primers be a close to CCI primers? I use CCI primers for almost everything due to the amount I had in stock. The CCI's work 99.5% for me in my Stuart tuned Target Shadow.
  6. Thanks for that link Religious Shooter that 100 round block chamber checker looks like what I need. $99 is cheap considering the what if scenario. The charge got passed my RCBS lock out die too hmmm
  7. My press is a Hornady LNL with a shell feeder. I have been using a Wilson case gauge only initially after getting the OAL set then adjusting the Lee FCD die to the bullet I am using. I see how case gauging every round would catch it but that would slow my production to a crawl. I like the idea of standing them all up during the sorting process. I am going to do as suggested and run a few 380 cases through the press. I am surprised they made it through the priming station... Thanks everyone!!
  8. I have been reloading with my progressive for over a year and I just ran into this issue. After I finished loading some 9mm rounds into my mag I chambered a round but something didn't feel right. Before pulling the trigger I dropped the mag and unchambered one of the rounds I loaded the night before. It was a piece of 380 brass loaded up with 115 Gr. JHP and Titegroup powder to make 135 PF. I caught it but now I am really scared. I am trying to implement procedures so this can't happen again. I started putting every 9mm round I produce into a 50 round shell holder and doing a visual looking for uniformity. I pick up brass at the range and get "everything" so I need to sort. I guess I am not doing my job during the visual inspection. I have been using the colored baskets for 9mm, 40, 45, They make a basket for 380 that I don't have but will now order. I would like to first find out how does everyone else sort 380 from 9mm in bulk sorting? I am looking for feedback on how to stop this in the brass sorting phase if possible. Thanks for your time!
  9. I had the same issue that got worse when I put a shell feeder on my L-N-L. It turned out to be the 9mm shell plate. There are 2 styles of 9mm shell plates. The shell plate that Hornady sent me had the same part number as the original 9mm plate. When you flip both plates over the 45 degree bevel portion varied between the 2 plates..
  10. THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. You can send direct to

  12. Greetings - Can you send me a picture of a 9mm LNL shell plate without the beveled 45 degree ring? I found your video on youtube and you indicated you could supply a link to it but I never saw the "pointer". I am having a hell of a time trying to get Hornady to get me a shell plate for 9mm with out the bevel. So I can eliminate case tipping. I have a work around but I would like the correct one.

    Spare parts?

Which Slide Stop for a SP-01 Shadow? Item Number: 10003 Wider Paddle Style, Has the longer protruding knub (that hits the magazine follower for Slide lock back). This is the original factory part for the SP01 and Shadow, but we suggest the slide stop with the shorter knub, 10002 This 10002 one does not interfere with the nose of the bullet as the magazine is ejected. BUT THIS POST for part # 10002 from a reviewer has me concerned ………… Slide stop does not work with Mec-Gar mags Mike Hanrahan (Anchorage, AK) 11/24/2011 2:06 PM I replaced my broken SP01 Shadow original slide stop with this one and found that although it works perfectly with the CZ factory mags, the 19 round Mec-Gars (with the blue follower) do not slide lock open after the last round is fired. Did not have a problem with the Mec-Gars with the old slide stop. Angus Reply (This Slide stop has a shorter nose, and if the followers have a different shaped indent for the slide stop, may not lock the slide back on the last round, they work fine on FACTORY CZ magazines. But these followers do stop the problems of the nose of the bullets hanging up on the slide stop.)

    DAWSON FRONT SIGHTS

"What a difference" (Newbie) Please elaborate how it is different from your perspective transitioning from Fiber to Blade. I just started shooting a Shadow Target (w/FO), I'm 57, my shooting glasses are set up with my dominate right eye focused at front sight and left for distance. I am working on shooting with both eyes open and wonder if I should just switch to blade and get a little space to the sides to assist with sight acquisition (1/3,1/3,1/3). Thanks.
  15. Angus was + Interviewer was not a + (tried too hard to be Joe Reporter IMO) Overall there was quite of bit of useful info for a guy new to CZ's like myself. Makes Angus more identifiable/personable for someone who never met the man, a +

  17. Did you get the BB 135gr. resized from .356 to .357? (from notes in PDF for Shadow with TG Powder it appears)
  18. Easily meters correctly on my Hornady L-N-L
  19. Evolution Gun Works sells the dies... I was wondering if it would be of any benefit? I do pick up range brass for reloading. I understand this helps (I think) mainly for brass that has been bulged due to "loose" chambers. I would think a "regular" die would correct this issue?? I am not a highly experienced reloader, but working on it
  20. I am new to USPSA competition. So new I have yet to go see a match but love guns (all kinds). 30 days ago I watched a YouTube video by "Hickok45" on a CZ75B. After listen to him talk (ramble:) about this gun I wanted one. Somehow during the process of researching, and learning about the different variations I wound up ordering a CZ Custom SP01 Shadow Target. I was just looking for another plinker 9mm. After reading about the description of the Shadow on the CZ Website competition ready USPSA Production Division pistol. I started to look into USPSA Production Division and found this web site. I read everything I could about the pistol. I never met Stuart (eerw) but was amazed with his feedback/assistance/professionalism to everyone on the forum. When I discovered that there was much more that could be done to the gun (trigger/reliability modifications) I was eager to get to the next level or two(due to my personality;not due to my shooting ability let me be clear). I contacted Stuart to work on my gun (he was one of the veterans that welcomed me to the forum after I introduced myself in the Forum section "Introduce Yourself"). After a quick turnaround I am very pleased. I have not yet shot the gun. I just wanted to document the trigger pulls for my records, here they are. Measured with Lyman digital scale 1lbs 5.4oz trigger spring pre-travel weight SA Trigger pull weight 2.2.7 (2lbs 2.7 oz.) 2.2.7 2.2.9 2.2.1 2.2.3 2.2.4 Average 2lbs 2.5 oz Average DA 5lbs. 7.0oz average DA pull weight After 2 long conversations with Stuart about everything CZ and how fun competing is in Production Div. I have ordered a CR Speed belt (with pouches), Bladetec Holster, VZ Grips and I am still looking for 5 more mags! Hopefully I will show up at a Match next week to watch and learn (somewhere between Pueblo, CO. to and Ft. Collins, CO.) Maybe the next week I can shoot in a match. I just want to have fun! Life is short. Thank-you Stuart your trigger job on my Shadow is GREAT; I have 3 Dan Wesson 1911 triggers that are ready for you too. Thank-you Brian Enos for your forum and all the other helpful people that contribute to this forum. Oh and God Bless Al Gore for inventing the internet
  21. I have a Steyr M9A1 and did not think there was an option for changing the sight! I like the stock sights, but the POA/POI is off by a few inches vertically..
  22. Hello, I am NEW to competition but eager to learn. I have been reloading 9mm /45acp / 223. My informal pistol target shooting has been with 1911's (Dan Wesson PM7 and PM9)and Ruger Mark I, II and III 22LR's. I ordered a CZ Custom SP01 Shadow Target that showed up at my FFL today (Merry Christmas to me:) CZ's are a new to me and I am excited to get the gun tuned up. The trigger out of the box has a bit of creep. I need to but some bullets downrange and get used to this new gun to let it break in. I love this forum. I am like a little kid reading everything on the sport, the gun and reloading advise. I live in Littleton, Colorado and I am willing to travel to get better. To all people that are experienced and passing along help I say THANK-YOU!!
