4.0 gr Clays/oal 1.145/180 gr MG or Zero--these 2 are the only 180 gr bullets I've used-- other 180s are no doubt fine. An excellent load for a Glock 40 SW. I shoot it daily in a G27.

OP I see no signs of primer flow in your pictures. I've shot thousands of rounds--4.0 Clays, OAL 1.145, 180 gr out of a G27 w/NO signs of pressure and NO primer flow (Primer edges are always rounded). .

In 2002 I shot my new G23 2 times, looked at the bulge in the brass and ordered a KKM barrel--didn't shoot it again 'till it was installed. In 2012 I purchased 2 G27s, case head support was much better but the chamber was large. I ordered 2 more KKM barrels for them. Reliability has been 100%, peace of mind--100%.

"QUOTE" You are lucky Joe...for now. I must be lucky too, I've shot many pounds of Clays (4gr 180MG) thru a Glock (OAL 1.145) w/no signs of pressure. My experience--VV320 has the lightest recoil w/Clays close behind and Clays is much easier to find.

No, I've got thousands of rounds through my Glocks and never broke a trigger spring. Actually stretching the trigger spring will lighten the trigger pull.

Don't use a screw (and perhaps misplace it) ,heat and bend the front leg of the cruciform sear toward the front of the gun. Use a heat sink when you do this. It's easy to do and can be adjuated to get the pre travel you like. If this is done the trigger safety MUST be altered to work correctly.

Gun--Glock 27 w/KKM barrel. I've shot thousands 4gr Clays, MG 180gr @ OAL 1.145 w/no problems. I did a recoil test using 180gr MG--1st place VV N320-----Close 2nd place Clays.

After looking at the bulged brass out of a G23, I use KKM barrels in all my 40SW Glocks. I've never had a problem, something you might think about.

For the KKM barrel--in order to shoot 9mm OAL 1.145 in my G34 open gun send in a round and ask KKM for the Nato chamber.

Getting back to the OP question--I have bent the leg of the cruciform to limit take up. Heat and a heat sink must be used. I've also drilled a hole in the top of the top of the ejector housing and inserted a pin. Both will cut down on the pre travel. If you do this make sure the right side of the cruciform sear is on the drop safety ledge when the trigger is forward. If you do this the trigger safety will have adjusted where it enters the frame.
