  1. 44mag.com had some but I just bought a few from MidwayUSA. They said they were out but I clicked on the box that said that I wanted to be notified when they were back in stock. About 4 days later I got a note from Midway and the mags arrived a couple of days later...... Edit: I forgot to mention that I've bought from Greg Cote as well and have nothing but good things to say about him.
  2. I use WSF for with Bayou 124gr 9mm bullets and I am pleased with the results.
  3. Is there a way to get it to run on it's own or do I have to hit the space bar / arrow key to get it to advance through the slides?
  4. My do-all AR..... One note, I cut off the fSB since it was blocking the scope.... I'll replace it someday but it works for now.....
  5. I use WSF and have been very happy with the results.
  6. When i used to shoot sporting clays I got pretty wrapped up in the whole "what choke do I use for this shot" mentality that so many shooters seem to have ( I shot with guys who had choke tubes made that were only .002" difference from each other....). I talked with tons of people and the best bit of advice I got was from a world ranked shooter who told me that he uses three chokes; "near, far, and way the hell out there". I ended up using skeet, Lt Mod and full with the Lt Mod getting 95% of the use. That same combination has worked well for me 3-gun so far.....
  7. When I shoot a 1911 in competition I carry a 1911. When I shoot my M&P Pro I carry my M&P 9C.....
  8. I use clays for my .45 ACP reloads and Winchester Super Field (WSF) for 9mm.
  9. 2 of my M&P's were early model guns and I guess I got lucky..... and no, I do not work for S&W.
  10. I placed an order 2 weeks ago and they arrived within a week. I'm not sure if I hit him at a good time or what but I was impressed with the quick turn around as well as the quality of the bullets.
  11. There are a lot of good holster makers out there but I have been very happy with Comp-Tac. At last count I think I have 7 or 8 of them for my various pistols.... I've used Blade Tech in the past and they offer a well made product but I prefer the design of the belt loops on the Comp-Tac holsters plus I find Comp-Tac to be quicker and more responsive if I need something. However, I don't think you could go wrong with either company.

    Going green....

I just received a shipment of Donnie's bullets and I am very happy to say that they are better than anticipated! I loaded up a bunch and took them to the range along with samples loaded with Berrys, Black Bullet Int and Missouri Bullet Company bullets. The green bullets ran great, were accurate and smoked far less than any of the other lead / moly bullets. On top of it they look great! I'm planning on placing another order for more .45's as well as a full supply in 9mm.
  13. What weight is the factory recoil spring?
  14. Maybe it's just me but I've owned 6 M&P's, I carry one daily, I shoot them in IDPA / USPSA and I am not easy on them and I have never had a part break. I clean them every so often, I make sure they are properly lubed and I run decent ammo..... I understand that things can, and do, break but I think it is safe to say that the M&P line has the bugs work out of it at this point. If your buddy is having problems the first thing he should do is to contact Smith & Wesson and have it checked out. Good luck and I am sorry to hear about his problems. Hopefully they can get it sorted out and he can enjoy the same level of reliability that the rest of us seem to enjoy.
  15. Have you run them over a chrono?
  16. I have had great results with both 124gr and 147gr 9mm loads using WSF.
  17. Thanks for the info. I'm loading 4.9 gr of WSF and they seem to shoot really well out of my gun. I'm going to try and run out this weekend and shoot some over my chrono to see how fast they are shooting.
  18. I'm getting them for .085 from the dealer about 2 miles from my house so I have no intention of switching. I'm running 4.7 gr of WSF and the OAL is 1.050.
  19. I had great luck running 147 gr Berry bullets over 4.1 gr's of Winchester WSF... they were easy to shoot and did a great job on steel. I've since switched to 124 gr Berry FP bullets only because my M&P Pro really seems to prefer 124 gr bullets. I look forward to seeing your follow up once you have a chance to chrono your loads.
  20. I saw that the other day, thank you. That was in the back of my mind as I started this thread.
  21. I'm loading 124gr Berry FP bullets over Winchester WSF but I'm trying to work up a good load and I'm having a tough time finding proper load data for a plated bullet. I prefer to shoot a hotter load but I want to be safe. So, for those who use this combo, what is your load? Thanks in advance.
  22. I shoot lead bullets in the summer when we are shooting outdoors. With the exception of having to clean the gun more often I haven't noticed a problem. That said, I prefer to shoot molly's but I don't have a good source at the moment.
  23. I've owned 5 and none of them had to go back to the factory.....
  24. I had and M&P 9L that had the same wear pattern after using a kydex holster.... I figured it added character
