    My New BUG-R

Joe just worked on one of my 686 SSR's... He does great work and is a hoot to deal with.
  2. Download and read the IDPA rule book. They have some updated rules regarding equipment and it would be worth your time to look at it before you lay out any cash for gear which may, or may not be legal.
  3. What what make / style of gun? Blade Tech and Comp-Tac are 2 of the most popular brands that folks use... there are other smaller, custom makers out there (Master Tac is one that comes to mind.... find them on Facebook). Depending on the firearm you may have to check around....
  4. Why would you use one of those vs the factory Dillon toolheads?
  5. Whatever you buy make sure it has a ramped barrel. RIA 9mm 1911's do not.... Ask me how I know...... I have an Smith & Wessom SW1911 that has been rock solid but a lot of guys I shoot with run the STI Trojan in IDPA / USPSA.... That said, the SA Range Officer might be the best bang for the buck on the market.....

    Dead Forum?

There seems to be some new life on the IDPA board..... I'm sure a lot has to do with the updated rules but it seems like the Murphy's are trying to jump start it and it also seems like they are trying to distance themselves from HQ... not sure what that is all about but that was my impression from a few posts I read this morning.
  7. I spent the last 6 years loading on a progressive press that was not made by Dillon.... 2 nights ago I loaded on my new Dillon RL550B... I cannot believe how much time, energy, money and effort I wasted trying to get my old press to run like it should. I don't want to get into a pissing match so I'm not going to mention what brand it is but I am blown away at how EASY it is to load on my Dillon. Everything works. As it should. The first time. I get it. I finally get why you guys all swear by Dillon..... I'm just sorry it took me so long to figure it out.
  8. No, they offer them without the finger grooves.
  9. I don't see people hoarding, my LGS has a good supply of powder and primers and the shelves stay full.... What I do see is a ton of new shooters who are actually out on the range shooting..... Everyone I shoot with reloads.... 5 years ago very few people I know reloaded...
  10. Here is a quick shot of my Smith & Wesson 686 SSR... I have a pair and they are my favorite guns to shoot....
  11. Second vote for Master Tac... I love their stuff. That said, I also have a Blade Tech with tek lok that I use on my USPSA rig.....
  12. In the last year I have purchased 2 686SSR revolvers and they were both correct and proper.
  13. I sent my SSR down to Superior Firearms in Kentucky. Here is a link to my thread... Pics are at the end. They installed an extended firing pin (I forgot to mention that in the original post). http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=202556&hl=
  14. Can anyone explain what is the difference between the S&W 327 TRR8 and the M&P R8? They both appear to be 8-shot revolvers, both have the light weight frame.... what am I missing??
  15. My local gun shop just sold a super clean 5" 625 for $600....
  16. hmm, just what I was looking for. Thanks.
  17. I have an unendng supply of free 9mm brass. Major is not an issue because I'll never shoot the gun in USPSA, only ICORE and Steel Challenge. Makes sense to me. Cool rig!
  18. Very slick rig! Why are you going to convert it to 9mm? Does 38 Super make major PF?
  19. I'm not sure what I'm looking at...... Can you give me some details?
  20. Superior Firearms bobbed the hammer, re-crowned the barrel, chamfered the cylinders, re-contoured the trigger and polished the internals. The action is fantastic. I had the gun back in my hands 2 weeks to the day after I sent it.
