  1. Thanks Obiareus! I have to admidt I felt like a sandbagger coming in so close to B (sneaks off to find a race to A class thread)
  2. Welcome to the forum! You have to win the lurker award. 32 posts in 7 years?
  3. A friend of mine has one and I'm not impressed. The inherient flex in the stock to allow it to bump fire kills any semblance of accuracy. Gives a whole new meaning to spray n' pray. At least you can lock the stock in position to disable the function but then you have a $300 fixed stock.
  4. I Shot 09-11 Razors Edge at Rio Salado this morning. 28 pts in 5.54 seconds. Should be ~70% and bump me to B class whenever it posts!

  6. So what you're saying is that we should shoot less bullets? ETA: I'm one of those limited shooters with 20 round mags. I routinely get beat by prodution and single stack shooters. Ya don't hear me complaining about it either!
  7. That's awesome! I used to shoot with a guy in Nebraska that had MS. He didn't have much movement in his left arm so he just mounted his holster and mag holders to the front basket on his scooter. I was always humbled to have the opportunity to shoot with him.
  8. I carry my G35 in an IWB holster everyday. It's getting warm here so I'll have to start taking the mag well off and leave the 20 round mags at home.
  9. Usually they will pull your rifle cases and hold them for you. You will need to show your claim tag to pick it up. Well, that is if they have anyone there. I may have been chased across the baggage areas before.
  10. Yeah, it sucks. I've had 3 stolen in the 9 years I've lived in Phoenix. Good luck getting the police to even take a report.
  11. That is strange! I grew up on a farm and ranch and our record was 4 sets of twins in one year and we ran between 90 and 110 cows. There always seemed to be a cow that had lost a calf to graft to so they never went hungry.
  12. I train forearms 3 to 4 times a week. I do 2 heavy weight workouts each week. The first is mainly focused on endurance and the second focused on increasing my grip strength. I also do 1 of 2 days each working on oddball lifts that work the hands pretty hard.
  13. Nothing that I know of, but that's here in AZ. Though, every salaried position I've had was based on a 50 hr work week.
  14. I don't think you can make major so there is really no advantage unless you have one and want to use it.
  15. I typed up three responses to this and erased each one before posting. All I'm going to say is a big thank you to G-Man Bart for being one of the most helpfull posters on this board. One of several posters that I will always stop to read their responses.
  16. I love my G35 for limited and won't be giving it up any time soon. My wife wants a handgun and is looking at the M&P Pro. We rented one and she's sold. Guess I'll have to try production now
  17. When I sense some "quasi dominance BS" coming, I typically offer my left hand. This totally takes people off guard and puts them in a submissive role, if only for a moment. Well played, sir! I'm going to enjoy that confused look on his face next time I see him!
  18. You'll get a good firm handshake from me. Unless you try to pull that canted over quasi dominance BS with me. Then I'm going to crush your hand while turning it over so you're in the "submissive" underhand position. I have a good friend that picked it up from his father. One of these days he's going to learn that it's not necessary to try to impress me.
  19. I did a few contests in college. I really don't miss cutting down for shows! 8 meals a day and still hungry!!!
  20. A driver's license doesn't show anyone that you're an American citizen. A passport or birth certificate probably will. Or you could become the test case A drivers license is enough but bring your passport if it makes you feel better. They're not going to stop you just because you're brown.
  21. I don't think that's the right plan for this activity, especially considering high-speed sports like USPSA. I do understand the premise -- once the dummy round is encountered in a live fire string it will show a 'flinch' in the shooter's technique. Observers point to the extreme muzzle dip when the round doesn't ignite as evidence of a flinch. This generally isn't the case with folks who have been doing this a while. New shooters...maybe. In seasoned USPSA/IPSC (and IDPA) competitors it's common for a an experienced shooter to develop an involuntary "push" related to recoil. It's instinctive and unconscious. I don't think that it can be learned as a specific exercise, but it does happen. It comes from many, many rounds downrange. There are many examples of top shooters who's muzzles dip considerably when encountering a dud round during a stage. Is it a flinch? No. It's a learned muscular reaction that happens involuntarily when that round doesn't go off. I think you're spot on here. I don't use the ball and dummy drill to work on flinch unless I'm working with someone that I can see is flinching and won't accept that fact. For me, I use it to work on malfunction drills. Then again, I shoot a G35 so I don't have too many of those.
  22. I am going to make B class in Limited. Get RO certified. Shoot at least one match per month.
  23. Maybe if you would describe how it is "not running the gun" it would help instead of getting an attitude with people. This forum will be able to find the right answer but you haven't even tried to help us help you. If your STI won't run with 5.0 grs of Universal it is probably something else wrong with your load or with your gun. There are so many possible problems that you will need to provide some more information.
