Oehler has recently announced that they are making a special run of the 35P Chrono this summer. I don't know what the price will be but used ones have been selling for well over $600.00 on E-Bay. Just for reference, I bought mine new in 2003 or 2004 for $335.00 with the printer. Charlie

Yet another vote for the ProChrono Digital. I had an Oehler 35P but I sold it on E-Bay for over $600.00. With the exception of not having a printer, the ProChrono seems to work just as well. Charlie

The press in question is a Super 1050. Are there any advantages of one over the other? Charlie

I have a chance to buy a "slightly" used 1050 set up for 38 Super for somewhere between $1,000 and $1,100. Supposed to have less than 4,000 rounds through it. Is this about fair market price for a used machine? I would have no use for the 38 Super setup and would want to sell that and get 223Rem setup. Does this make financial sense? Thanks, Charlie

Sounds to me like you are due for a new motor. $80.00 seems a bit high for a fractional horsepower motor. You might check Graingers. Charlie

I guess my Dillon flip tray must be a much older one. It isn't big enough to contain all the primers of many of the 100 packs that I have used. I would guess that it is at least 20+ years old. Do I need to consider getting a new one? Charlie

A shooting buddy of mine has had Pro-Ears for many years. He really likes them and I have tried a pair a couple of times and I think they are as good as any I have tried. At the very least as good as my ancient Peltor Tac-7's. One plus is when I shoot clays the comb of the shotgun doesn't knock them off my head. Charlie

Either Cameraland or SWFA. I have dealt with Doug @ Cameraland many times. Have also bought from SWFQA with no problems. Can't lose either way. Charlie

Years ago I had a S&W Victory in 38 S&W. I got rid of it because of the reloading problems. Charlie

We have been using TAC in our 223 Rem Prairie Dog loads for the last year or so. I think we are on our firth or sixth eight pounder. Accurate, burns clean and cheap. 25 grs and a MidSouth 55 gr Varmint Nightmare and you are good to go. Charlie

I have a set of Peltor Tac 7's that I bought from Dillon over twenty years ago. Still work fine. Only thing I don't like about them is I can't shoot a shotgun with them on. The comb hits them and knocks them off my head. charlie

I have read many reviews and comparisons between the L-N-L and the 550/650. Seems to be about a push. That free bullet deal is pretty tempting. Your best bet might be to see if you can find a way to try them both before you buy. Charlie

We have been using the MidSouth Varmint Nightmare and the Varmint Nightmare Xtreme for Prairie Dog hunting for the last year. Have had very good results with TAC powder. They can be hard to get at times. Charlie

From those I have seen, my guess is that the new one will be the same.

I would save that Universal for 9MM and find something else for your 45. Charlie

Like H8dirt I have used the Laser LRN. My load is 5.0 gr of W231. Been using it for years with good results. charlie

The ports don't need any cleaning. Once a year or so depending on how much you shoot, you should replace the spring for the top lever. This keeps the gun locked up tight so it won't shoot itself loose. Charlie

The clay sports can become very addictive. Charlie

I have a P-W 900 and a P-W 2000. Load all four gauges on the two. Love them! Never tried a Dillon so I can't compare. Seems like its either MEC or P-W unless you have money to burn than its Spolar. Charlie

Most old timers seem to prefer the 1100 over the 1187 for some reason. For my money the Beretta 391 is the way to go. Charlie
