  1. "Perfecta" (made by Fiocchi) was a house brand of sorts from Walmart. WM stopped selling handgun ammo in '19 but I believe Cheaper than Dirt carried it as well. I've never heard or seen "Projecta".....is that the correct spelling?
  2. Off the top of my head, here's a partial list of the crap brass I throw in the dumpster....Plus anything that's steel, aluminum, stepped or bulged. Maxxtech MXT FM Aguila Ammoland ZQI WMA Xtream A USA Troy GFL NORMA DoubleTap Shell Shock TECH OMPC Perfecta
  3. This obviously is meant to compete with RMR's Mutli Purpose Bullet (minus the skives)....exact same pricing as well. Ordered 28K from RMR last year but he jacked the prices and I have since moved on to PD's and BBI's.
  4. Not a scratch on them. How did you pull them? Edit: Never mind, these bullets weren't actually pulled.
  5. There are only 2 US primer manufactures. Vista and Winchester. Imported primers are no more.
  6. One way is to buy out the competition and then kill-off the product. That's what Vista Outdoor did when they took over Remington. As a result, you'll never see Remington primers again, except for shotshells.
  7. ^^ Patriot Defense does hardened barrels for $59, standard for $39. https://patriotdefense.com/patriot-defense-9mm-barrel-reaming-hard-coating-melonite-dlc/ Shipping included.
  8. There's a difference between reaming the chamber and reaming the throat. Dave Manson sells the proper throaters and headspace will not be altered. Alternatively, you can send the barrel to Grams Engineering or Cheely Custom Gunworks.
  9. ^^ That has little to do with Bayou ignoring emails from their paying customers.
  10. Mine only took a few days but they were Gen4's . Follow up: After installing a 6 lb. Wolff striker spring I'm still getting light primer strikes with Remington 7 ½ small rifle primers. These are extremely hard primers (suitable for AR's) so I don't fault Timney. Oddly, most of the failures were with Winchester brass.
  11. I'm getting a 4% failure rate with Rem 7 ½ SRP's...which is actually better than expected. Using a OEM striker spring from a Blue Label G34 Gen4. (I think the Blue's came with 5.5# springs). Will try a 6# striker spring later next week. Other than that, the trigger breaks slightly under 2 ½ lbs. and it's 100% reliable with SPP's.
  12. It's not that one is necessarily better than another....it's just that they're different. Ben Stoeger Pro Shop is down the road from me, so I went with Hundos. I have the black flip trays as well, which I use way more often than the blue risers.
  13. I received an order from PD last week, same bullet as yours. Base to ogive is within 1 thousandths. That's plenty good for me. I'd bet 1 thou is less variance than the wall thickness of the brass you're loading.
  14. Sure that’s fine. Factory ammo often has greater variances than that. Next time, post the OAL that you desire with the number of samples that you’ve measured.
  15. The company started in 2016. AMMO Inc. just bought GunBroker for $240 mil. The brass is likely made by a company called Jagemann in Wisconsin which AMMO Inc. also bought in 2019.
  16. Wow, that took some work to compile all of that...thanks.
  17. blemish [ blem-ish ] verb (used with object) to destroy or diminish the perfection of:The book is blemished by those long, ineffective descriptions. noun a mark that detracts from appearance, as a pimple or a scar. a defect or flaw; stain; blight:a blemish on his record.
  18. You can continue to your hearts desire....but they're not blemished.
  19. Not blems. These bullets were originally loaded in Hornady's steel cased 9mm ammo (since discontinued). Midway apparently bought the remaining surplus stock of bullets. This is the explanation I got from Hornady when I called them this morning.
  20. A five gallon bucket would contain 22,341 bullets. And the bucket would weigh 396 pounds.
  21. Interesting tha t Sellier and Bellot ammo (made in Czech Republic) won't CHAMBER in a CZ that's also mad e in the Czech Repub lic.
  22. Have you slugged the new barrel? What is your charge weight? What type of crimp die are you using? Does it keyhole with FMJ bullets?
