  1. My vote is for the Tripp mags although the Dawson's I had worked just as good. Either will work, the Tripp's just load easier and are way more shiny...which has to add style points to your shooting.
  2. That match was a blast last year. Looking forward to shooting it again!
  3. Do you actually run your buffer tube dry though? A little bit of Kroil on the spring does wonders.
  4. After watching that, I'm going to have to go back to shooting archery or throwing rocks or something. Definitely have some practice to do!!
  5. Well good catch dude. Sounds to me like those rounds were too long for his chamber...otherwise they wouldn't have stuck in the chamber. Jamming a bullet in the lands is pretty common but there's a fine line there before you start sticking bullets.
  6. So how much can one cut out of the front of a Benelli loading port? I've read a number of posts saying that the front area can be sensitive to hacking. My FN has a fair bit of the follower showing and it helped out tremendously so I'm wondering how far I can go with the new uncut M2 I have sitting in the safe.
  7. If I'm not mistaken, I think Glen had to make some minor modifications to his lower design to fit the Surefires. You may have one of the original versions.
  8. That'd be an entertaining one to RO!! I agree with others, this COF looks to be good one:) Can't wait!
  9. I'd personally go with Seekins Precision stuff. You can get the base, rings, a detachable bottom metal and muzzle brake all from one source and have the best there is. Aside from that, I'd think about a new stock such as a Manners or use a chassis like the AICS or XLR. Forgot about the trigger......either go with Timney or Jewell, depending on budget.
  10. +1000!! Best brake nobody talks about.......YET!
  11. You are correct that the +7 is the official 10 round tube. However, those looking for a shorter alternative may be interested in a +6 with an extended cap:) I'm going to give it a shot and if it doesn't work out as planned, I may still go with the +7 depending on how it looks with a 24" barrel.
  12. A good FO front sight will help and is likely sufficient for the slug shots out to 50-75yds. Trying to hit a MGM spinner at 100yds with just a front bead tends to be a little bit of a challenge though. I'm going to shoot my new M2 with a Hi-Viz triangle front sight first and see where POA/POI is before I go cutting in a rear sight.
  13. Or a +6 with a XXl extension I've heard should get you 10 shot and 9-10 slug...at least with an M2. It's a little shorter than the +7.
  14. I've yet to have one come out during a stage, but did have one come out at around 150mph on my street bike one time. Currently testing out some new ones as my GF works for an eye doc so we'll see how they work. Totally different size, material, etc and it's taking some getting used to.
  15. I thought something was wrong with mine too as it wouldn't lock back....turns out it was just the nut pulling the trigger. Solved problem by going back to shooting my STI LOL.
  16. What causes them to wear faster? I haven't messed with lightweight carriers much so excuse the ignorance.
  17. I use the included goggle strap mount and just raided the strap off an old pair of moto goggles I had.
  18. I've used it with great success for 77g pills and it appears to actually work really well for 53g Vmax as well. It may not be the best, but it works plenty good. I ran 77s at around 2750 out of a 20" and run 53s in the neighborhood of 3050 out of a 16". The 77s shot 1/2-3/4moa and the 53s will shoot 1/2moa out of my brother's gun, but only around 1moa out of my thrasher 16" barrel.
  19. Find which one fits your hand and feels/points good for you and go with it. I've had a Glock 34&35, XDm 5.25 and a custom 2011. I still have the XDm and 2011, but got rid of the Glocks because I just preferred the feel of the others. If I wasn't already spoiled by the 2011, I'd probably have a few more of the XDm's to be honest.
  20. I've got videos of most all the stages on our Youtube channel: RBros Rifles
  21. ....but what if you took a .300Blackout case and necked it down? That would seem to eliminate the length issue. Would be sorta like a faster .300BLK??
  22. I shot that stage on the last day and unleashed two 3" #4buck at it just to take out some aggression from the previous days. One well placed one would have done it, but I got a lot more enjoyment out of sending an extra
  23. HUH?? That might at least be one that is in my price range.
  24. How do you guys find so much time to shoot! I'm probably only in the 5-7k range including rifle and shotgun! I can't imagine shooting 20k + in a year, but I'd sure like to find out what it's like:)
  25. I'm going to give my xdm 5.25 a shot in 3gun this year over my STI .40 and see how I like it. It's the only polymer gun I've been able to shoot as accurately as my STI so we'll have to see how it goes. If I don't like it, I'll be building a 2011 in 9mm for sure.
