Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Thanks to Jon49erfan for injecting some real science into this discussion. "When not in a firearm, projectile velocities are extremely low." The 12g would not penetrate cardboard. On another note: I really like the Matchsaverz and have used two on my shotgun all season. I have not experienced any issues with the shells popping out and landing in the chamber when dumping my gun. I tried to scrap the round off my matchsaver today to see if I could get it into the chamber. I was successful if I went really slow and pushed it into the top of a horizonal barrel (note to self: don't drag your MS across the top of a horizontal barrel). One final comment: I am not associated with the maker of the MS. I think its a great product and will continue to use it. A few months back I posted a link to a video I did about the MS to show people a great new product. The moderator of this fourm removed my video saying to was an ad. I disagreed and told him if I was trashing the product he would have let it stand. I think this topic shows that I was right.
  2. I've been using the Timney drop in trigger all this year and it is hard to beat for price and quality!
  3. I've put 500 rounds of bird shot, 50 buck and 50 slugs over the +2 extention. No problems to report, no malfuctions using a Nordic spring. The cool part is that the cap does not work its way loose over extended shooting! I think it is a winner. Thanks Mick! Keith Garcia
  4. I'll take one as well. The more rounds the better! Keith
  5. Mark, Great stages! I'm going to set up a couple of these for practice with my shooting buddies.
  6. Nice, looking forward to the drill!
  7. Nice loading!! That was very smooth My only comment would be to start in port arms and get a camera view of you and the targets. Everytime I've put up a video countless people make comments about the targets or lack of targets in view. That is why I chose two cameras and a long shot of me and the targets. This is the first time no one jumped all over me about the targets, thankfully! Nice shooting! Keith
  8. That's what I need Pat "Pinwheel" Kelley working the machine gun fingers on the drill Thanks Pat! Good Luck
  9. Here's the splits: .48, 2.76, .17, 3.01, .17, 2.94
  10. The idea behind this challenge is to set some sort of standardized test for evaluating the many shotguns, shell holders and loading techniques available There are lots of videos on-line showing different types of loads and carriers. The one thing we lack for an objective comparison of the options is a standard to compare them. This is my attempt at establishing that standard. I'd love to see the various options put to the test in this format. So get out of the basement and get to the range! Let's see the videos and someone please get under 9 seconds! Remember, if it is not on tape it did not happen. So please refrain from the "I know this guys who shot it is 5 second stories." This is intended as something fun we can do to test gear and not as something to cause problems. If you don't like it, Don't participate Thanks! Keith Garcia
  11. 300 for the skinnies? Holy snickies!!! Now wonder he worked so hard on the prize table. Once everybody walks away with a gun they will forget about missing the targets all weekend. LOL!!! Kudos for all your hard work Larry! Was that 300 in yards or feet....you know in all the excitement, I forgot myself I think Larry may be having some fun with us I shot the skinnies at 200 yards today and that was ok. Past that I will be checking the scoring system for miss penalties and weighting that against the time it takes to actually hit the little bastards!!
  12. Will American Shooter accept ammo shipments for this match similar to the Handgun Nationals?
  13. Ben shot an impressive match. He stuck to his game plan and shot a lot of A's. It was fun to watch the different styles on the Super Squad. Ben was not the fastest but he was very consistent and accurate.
  14. Mike, I had a target, not hard to hit stuff with a shotgun, in this one I showed the target because people always ask: My link
