  1. I'll give you $201.00 for it! That's a dollar more than the standard offer; Rich
  2. Springfield doesn't sell slides, you will have to find someone parting out a gun to get a slide. Rich
  3. There is no Us vs Them, the Them are Us and the Us are Them. The vast majority of the shooters and RO's prior to the SS Division creation were already USPSA members. The SSC wasn't a sanctioned USPSA match but it followed the rules closely, now anybody who wants to participate has to be a USPSA member. The point is this match has been around a long time and it has been run the same way from the start. When USPSA created the Single Stack Division it was just an easy way to have a Nationals by joining with the largest SS match around. This is where the rub starts, shooters who have no knowledge of the SSC come along and want the SSC to mirror USPSA major type matches down to the last detail. If the shooters want a SS Nationals to be 100% USPSA in every aspect then get the President to put it in with the rest of the Nationals. The SSC shouldn't have to change its long time standing just so it can be called the SS Nationals. Rich P.S. The two main changes that are voiced most of the time are higher round count stages and a bigger prize table, neither one of these will make a match a "Great Match".
  4. One must realize that this match is the "Single Stack Classic" first and foremost with the USPSA Nationals piggy backing off of it. I think I'm right in saying that the SSC is the second longest running major match in the country with the "Desert Classic" being the first. If you want high round count and less demanding skill level stages tell the USPSA President what you want. I'm sure the SS Nationals can be thrown in with the rest of the Nationals in the fall. As to the prize table size I'm sure the SSC would accept any prizes donated and distribute them to the shooters. A bigger prize table means higher match fees to pay for said prize table. The first three years of the match had a "big" prize table but that takes a lot of effort from someone to put together. I'm sure they would accept any help your willing to give. If you want a bigger SS Nationals tell USPSA to step up and deliver. From what I can tell USPSA isn't putting much into this match except for calling it "Their Nationals" and collecting mission count money. I get tired of hearing how USPSA members want to make the SSC more like USPSA matches they're used to shooting. The SSC is a true skills match, it may look super simple but it just chews people up every year, year after year. You can't make mistakes and expect to be at the top. Rich
  5. The EGW sear doesn't have the arm to push the firing pin safety block up and out of the way. When using the EGW sear you have to remove the firing pin safety block so the gun can fire and Henning's XL firing pin is also a good replacement at this time. Rich
  6. Over on the 1911 Forum there is a thread about a company that has started making grips out of varies materials for the widebody Springfields. It's in the manufacturers section. My link Rich
  7. Here is one of the prize guns that you will be shooting for. Rich
  8. Fluted with v cuts, similar to SV's Free Form.
  9. Loaded serrations with 15 degree horizontal cuts.
  10. 25 lpi angled checkering, raised pad.
  11. Snake skin serrations angled. Rich
  12. The XD line is under a North America use only, contact IM Metals in Croatia and get a HS 2000 it is the same frame. The HS 2000 is sold to the rest of the world, if it has to go to the Netherlands. Rich
  13. The mount would have to have an attachment point ahead of the slide stop hole. Rich
  14. You don't need a sight pusher to remove and replace the sights on the XD/m models. Rich
  15. The slide racker is on the right side so it doesn't interfere with your right thumb. Rich
  16. I got to the point of welding up the slide took too much time and putting all that heat into the slide isn't that good for it. Not to mention it can make tapping the slide difficult(broken taps). Plus I blend the dove tail of the base to match the slide radius for a clean look. Later, Rich
  17. The XD 40 (12rd) mag can hold 16 rounds but it will be the 140mm length and it will not fit into the box. My guess would be that a base pad to fit into the box will only increase capacity by two rounds. Rich
  18. You don't have to weld it up to get a Bo-mar style rear sight installed. I've designed a base that uses the existing cut for both the fixed and adjustable sight.
  19. And don't forget with the 07 FFL you will need to pay the FET. Rich
  20. Champion, SV, or Wilson in that order. Virgil's sight is just darn ugly for me to put on a pistol. Rich
  21. Half flat and half curved, a reverse "Enos" is what I have on my guns. Rich
  22. I do custom work them and only had one that needed extra tweaking to run 100%. The fit on these guns is tight so it takes a few rounds to break in. They are very accurate guns for such a short barrel. There has been guns sent back because of malfunctions but I would say some of them are sent back because the shooter just doesn't use the proper ammo, doesn't shoot enough rounds to break them in. The EMP is a far better gun than the Kimber. Rich
