  1. RSR is a distributor to FFL's. Rich
  2. If your really looking for traction there is always this type of treatment. Rich
  3. Slide, barrel, and sights are the parts that are different. I did a 5.25 in red to show some contrast than the flat black. Rich
  4. Based on how SA released other calibers in the past the 5.25 .40 s&w will probably be 9 months to a year after the 9mm. But I have a feeling they will release it at the Shot Show in January. Rich
  5. Rich: Any idea about price yet? Even a ballpark would be helpful in the budgeting world. $1,285.00 shipped Rich
  6. I got my first shipment the other day, the first ones out will be the 4P upgrade- trigger job, tungsten guide rod, extended release, new front sight with a full width dovetail(blk or f/o), traction grip treatment, and barrel/slide/frame tightening. I will be getting some Bi-Tones(stainless steel) next week. There are a few that are not spoken for as of 7/21 so let me know if you want one. Photo's will be added over the weekend. Later, Rich
  7. I was talking with Brandon and he said all of their ribbed guns are going with the full length ribs from now on. He said it makes a stronger barrel and gives you a lighter slide right from the start. Rich
  8. If your gun has the bump at the bottom of the breech face you can run semi-wadcutters without a problem. The Acp XDm's have them but I don't know if they have started using the bump on the XD acp line yet. Rich
  9. No, the sights, slide and barrel are the only differences. That's strange, that they would not try to fix the roll pin issue. In the 1 year I shot the xdm in competition I had 2 break on me. Another guy at my club also had 2 break on him in 1 year If you dry fire without a snap cap you will lessen the life of the roll pin. I had to change the roll pin in my primary gun at 38K rounds and I don't dry fire-just live fire. It probably would have lasted a bit longer but it had a crack in it, time to change. Rich
  10. First shipments from distributors are heading in, should have a few started by the end of the week. Rich
  11. A large number of them were dumped into the market place, the market is just trying to get rid of what's left in dealer inventory. There is only so many the market place can sell before interest drops away. I've got a couple left and they are good guns, they just have a different slide profile than the rest of the Witness line does. Rich
  12. I'm hoping to keep it under $1,500.00. Rich
  13. Plans right now are to do a model with the following upgrades- trigger job, extended release, tungsten guide rod, traction grip treatment, front sight, profiled rear, frame to slide/barrel fit, and all metal parts with "Canyon Blue" finish. Non Production options will include 60 degree border cuts, mag well, coffin cover, serrations, ............... Rich
  14. I've got a carbinizer in the shop, it works great when you need a thin hard coating. Rich
  15. Before changing barrels it is wise to shoot the factory barrel, if it shows good accuracy then have it refitted. I've seen quite a few refitted factory barrels out perform after market barrels(same gun). Another must check on barrels is different bullets/loads. Rich
  16. The spray on finishes will wear faster with plastic type holsters. If the holster is leather or has a liner the finish will last longer. The plastic holsters attract grit that can wear through a finish rather quickly. Even the ceramic based finishes will eventually wear through. Rich
  17. As soon as I get a spare one to play with I'm going to convert it into a .40 Limited gun.
  18. It's easier to get a the 40 and shoot a lighter bullet(135gr)for steel shooting. Rich
  19. There is a consecutive serial numbered pair for sale on Gun Broker of the Springfield 9mm target. The SA is the way to go over the sti. Rich
  20. My CC shirts can use the logo's. Rich
  21. Of all the years I lived in Phx, I never saw a dust storm of this size. Rich
  22. As soon as I can find my notes on the pull reduction with the Canyon Creek spring kit I'll post it along with all of the parts I have that will work with the XDm models. Rich
  23. At least his shirt matches those pants and what is on top of that cake? Rich
  24. There's no doubt this gun will dominate in any competition stock or highly tuned. I'm going to have fun making these guns into "Perfection Performance Polymer Pistols" copyright Canyon Armament. Now to get one into my hands to start Perfection. Rich
