I count targets before my COF like you (primarily for a reloading point, all targets ID and shooting area ID). During the COF I only count targets by shooting area, not the total number.
It looks like you might need more of a bell from your powder die. Also if the jacket on the bullets is that soft, I would consider different bullets like Montana Golds or Zero's.
I load my 9 mm Glock loads out to 1.140. I know they can go longer (1.15), but I also shoot the rounds in other guns where this is approaching the limit.
I originally sorted my .40 cal brass, but have not found enough of a benefit to continue. I shoot new brass for major matches so I can depend on the outcome.
You will be happy with the results of the G-Rx. I initially went that route as I have a single stage setup for my Benchrest shooting. I ultimately went to the U-Die as it saves time since it is in Dillion 650 station #1.
While there is a noticeable difference in feel between the PF, if you are use to the major PF roll with it. Don't change things before something major or an event you are focusing on.
