  1. Isn't the 610 with the unfluted cylinder over legal weight of 50 oz??
  2. Harris a light weight 6"-9" would be perfect.
  3. January 07 Wish I had started alot sooner too. Might have even been good by now.
  4. So your saying that if im shooting my Smith 686 and using 38cal spl out it that the MD can declare your ammo illegal That's what it sounds like. Doesn't make much sense since the gun is designed to fire either round, but I guess it was done to take all the guess work out of it. If the gun marked 10mm or 357 that is what should be coming out of it. I figure that if the round makes PF no harm no foul, but that's just me.
  5. Yeah that is close, but try this one on for size. I missed out to a friend of mine in our clubs IDPA year end awards. I lost out to him by .0147%!! Now thats close.
  6. The CED 7000 on the wrist sometimes works. Par time buzzer to buzzer is perfect to practice dryfire. Just takes a little getting used to.
  7. I use a local company also, they charge me $75. I suggest you find a local plating company and get together with a couple of friends and send out a bunch of stuff. That way you and your buddies get your anodizing done cheap. I sent over a pallet full of aluminum parts just a few weeks ago. When all was said and done, each part cost like a buck a piece. Everyone was happy. I'm working on another pallet
  8. I've never heard of that until now. Doesn't even make ant sense. I don't shoot revolver yet, but alot of the guys I shoot with do, and I've never heard of that. Too bad IDPA lost a shooter over this.
  9. How would .40's become illegal? Input .38 colt guys..........
  10. Contemplating getting into revolver division of IDPA. I'm looking for opinions on which revolver I should start with. As a long time 10mm/40 fan I was leaning toward the 610. (have lots of ammo) I've had my eye on a 625 JM, it's basically the same gun but may easier to reload, not sure if that would make a huge difference. I'm torn on which way to go............ Any Pros/Cons?? PS Wife gave me permission to get a new gun I'm going to take advantage of it while I can.
  11. I shot the Friday am also. No delays but we did run a little long. The Friday PM crew showed up on the 2nd to last stage.
  12. That was cool. Wonder if the have one using jacketed ammo?
  13. That's right. I just went thru this a couple of months ago. My 0 was thrown out.
  14. +1 I had a similar problem. I had Dan Bedell install the Aftec. No more problems. With the gun anyway, me on the other hand.....still needs a little work.
  15. I was in the "gun malfunction only on the movers" division. My gun ran perfect on every target until it came to a mover, it just would feed. Lucky for me you don't get FTN's on the movers or I would have finished alot worse. Thanks to Kitty for taking them out for me Glad to hear he's OK.
  16. The rules are there to level the playing field and keep the shooter (and the people around them) safe. Doug Koeing was DQ'd for the same reason as jm9x23, I'm just as surprised they allowed you to finish. At times accidents happen but the staff at S&W did all they could to prevent them......Julie went as far as closing stage 2 because of splashback. I'd rather be DQ'd for safety or rule reasons, than shooting myself or somebody else. My best wishes go out to Jose, I hope he's doing well!!
  17. 2nd the motion!! Julie did a terrific job. All who worked the match were top notch. Had a fantastic time. Thanks again everybody
  18. Gary, Sorry to hear that. My prayers are with you.

    Ammo Car

I saw this at our local gun club over the weekend, and after I stopped laughing, snapped the pictures below. I tried to get some good pictures but all I had was my camera phone with me. Can you believe that someone actually has their car filled to the brim with ammo boxes, brass (even on the dash board) targets and various other "stuff". There is barely enough room for the driver......................... and it's a stick no less!! Could you imagine this guy getting pulled over!?!?!? He would have alot of explaining to do. I'd hate to be the cop that has to search this car. If you look close you'll see that his inspection expired last April. I still laugh every time I look at these pictures. I just had to share this so everybody else can get a laugh out of it too. PS The guy in the picture is not the one that owns the car....
