Not a darn thing wrong with a 226 for production. They can be set up very nicely. Most of the aftermarket support of the plastic wonder nines is unnecessary IMO.

If the spring goes solid the slide stops on the bushing and not on the guide rod head. This is no bueno. Assemble the gun with the guide rod but no recoil spring, run the slide to the rear until it stops, mark the slide/frame with something. Put your recoil spring in and do it again. The marks should match up. If not trim a coil and try again. I've had to cut a coil or two from every ISMI recoil spring I've replaced.

Very worth it. Dump primers in and crank away on the handle.

If you have the barrel all the way up against the VIS the barrel isn't really in the same position it is when it's locked up. Remember that it cams up and over the slide stop as the gun closes. And yes, the frame may be slightly long, but it isn't a quarter inch long.

If that's what's happening there's a problem with the die. I've loaded a butt ton of 40 and 9 with mine and have no issues. Dies look great.

Could have worded it better. TG works great for 45, I use 4.5 gr with a 230. The case will hold a stupid amount of TG.

A 45 case will hold like 15 gr of TG. Works fine though.

My 870 behaved the same way. I sold it and will never miss it.

Dredd wasn't a remake of the Stallone flick. It was what the movie should have been form the start. Judge Dredd was a horrible movie.

I will say that my Cheely 9 major gun runs like a scalded dog. Ran all through Area 4 without cleaning Saturday night. I can count on about 750 trouble free rounds between cleanings.

I coated a very well built open gun, and I won't do it again without masking off the rails. Lesson learned.

I know its not likely, but the first time I changed mine over I forgot to put the ball back in. Any chance its not in there?

I have an abundance of SP01 magazines and I'd like a few 140mm mags for limited gun backup duty etc. Is the 75 extended short basepad with the +10% spring what I'm needing to put in the factory mags? Looks like 20 or 21 in a mag this way, or is there a better combo?

The cheap feeler gauge sets from harbor freight are what I use to make shims from. Works great.

Anyone used one of the Harrison fixed rears that fit a Bomar cut? Specifically the 2 piece sight that fits the prettier recessed install?

I bet they are running tons of shifts along with a lot of wear and tear on their machines and a bunch of overtime to employees. A price increase doesn't shock me.

Hornady XTP's have been the most accurate handgun bullets I've ever tried in any caliber, 45 included.

I just bought an open gun and had 1/2 case of 124's. I got one more and then bullets became non available. Now I have 4-5 months of bullets and am hoping supply comes back before then. Past that I've got backorders in with a few places and am waiting. The component shortage was no where near this bad last time.

Minimum of $100, probably closer to $150.
