  1. A retard did that up here in Edmond. Its scary to see what one moron with a tracer can do.
  2. Glock and Smith & Wesson wouldn't sell enough to cover the cost of gearing up to make them. USPSA isn't a huge market.
  3. The thing about open is that everyone else has an open gun too. The skillset isn't really all that different its just that everything needs to move 10-15% faster since the gun can allow you to be a bit more reckless.
  4. It was $348 when I ordered, limit one case.
  5. I ordered 2/2 and just got a shipment notice today. The elusive 124gr JHPs.
  6. Get a hornady comparator tool and measure the distance from the shoulder to the base. Make sure you're getting 2-3 thou setback when compared to a fired case.
  7. How bad is it now? My XD would do that but still shot around 3" at 25 yards which is really all I would expect.
  8. I see several inherent issues with 22's. Most don't have holsters available, mag pouches are not available as far as I know, you cannot use steel to activate props, and timers can struggle to pick up shots. I have always thought that steel challenge was the place for 22's. If an action 22 match is desired locally then clubs could run that along with their USPSA match and just leave the poppers down/props activated and run shooters. Score it separately as minor and let people see where they stand in the overalls. But I am against starting 22 USPSA divisions as I think it is not in line with the principles of the sport.
  9. I can't load MG 124 JHP's any longer than 1.1 or I run into the rifling. I've loaded them at 1.135 for everything else but they run fine with a bit less powder and are accurate so I'm not messing with it.
  10. If they are willing to do something like that for a shooter I'll give them a call.
  11. In my Shadow the forward edge of the extractor groove meets up with the edge of the chamber at both 3:00 and 9:00. The end will extend past the hood. Is this what you were asking?
  12. Nothing to worry about, just not what I'm used to.
  13. Further mysteries abound. Looking at the trigger bar in relation to the notches in the slide which is how the trigger is disconnected I'm not sure how you would ever get the disconnect system to trip until the slide is a good bit aft. I guess it's just a design thing but since I come from 1911's it stood out. Discuss please.
  14. Guys, Just got a shadow in from CZC. I dropped in a new 13 lb mainspring and then noticed something that troubles me. The gun will drop the hammer with the slide quite a bit out of battery. My gun will drop the hammer with the take down notches lined up, anything past that won't drop the hammer. This can't be normal, or is it? Not one of their custom guns, just a stock Shadow.
  15. I asked them about my sight since it mas been back once and broken a second time. They told me to call and speak with Virgil about getting it fixed again. I haven't called yet since I really have no confidence in the part anymore. I think it will just end up in a drawer.
  16. If you're adding more than 25-30% of stage time you're not dealing with shooting challenges you're making physical challenges. If you're basically forcing people to reholster on the clock you're also being unsafe. Long runs between positions are excellent, as well as all manner of low ports and prone shooting. If I wanted to crawl around on hands and knees or jump off of walls I'd go run obstacle courses or something.
  17. It's not a little group thing. Brian and Dillon provide the best customer service I've ever experienced from anyone. Items drop ship from Dillon through Brian, if something is wrong with your order you deal with who you bought it from, which is Brian. Dillon provides all of the product support, replacement parts, etc. But order issues and payment problems go through whoever you actually paid for the item with. I've spent thousands of dollars with Brian and will continue to do so.
  18. There are a thousand orders that have no issues. Dillon services the press and parts. I'm not sure what else to tell you man.
  19. I run the neck into a Lyman M die which gives me what I need. If I try and seat even boat tail bullets without expanding or belling the neck at all I get a large portion of crushed necks. Dillon actually tells you to use a size die to do this in the instructions that come with the trimmer.
  20. Without expansion or belling of some kind I just smash necks when I try and seat bullets. If you use an expander ball you just don't run the die down enough to do any sizing.
  21. Are you expanding the neck after you size? I have to expand my 308 with either the expander ball of a size die or something like an M die after it goes through the trim die.
  22. MG 55's have always held at least a 4" group at 300 yards for me with mixed cases. Not as great as the Hornady bullets but still very good quality.
  23. I can't see your video but is there actually a +6 9mm basepad that fits in the box?
