  1. Also the 10 mm while conventionaly rifled is still hammer forged my older 38 super and 9mm have cut riffled barrels but they are just as acurate as the newer ones
  2. My match 40 barrel has polygonal rifling and my 10mm match barrel has conventional rifling so you would have to look to know (polygonal rifling has round lands not square) I dont have any info on the after market barrels that they are selling now. Is the 9mm you have a small frame or a compact large frame? the small frame guns they used to import use a smaller magazine. either way you should be able to order a new barrel from eaa for it it just might take a while to get, I have a small frame polimer 9mm and the barrel outside diamiter is smaller than that of my large frame guns so the barrel on it is not interchangable but that may be different on a steel frame gun. you can check by trying the 40 barrel in the 9mm frame and slide if it fits then a similar 9mm one would as well. hope this helps Mike
  3. Thank you I needed a good laugh this morning
  4. You just need to get a sa trigger and remove the interupter you can change the hammer if you want but it is not needed. The trigger wil be just as good as a factory one
  5. I Belive the stock II go for arround $1050 the match and stock II are different guns for different games the stock II is a double action trigger and the match is a single action. The stock II has a cone barrel full length dust cover and a checkered grip frame with a squared trigger guard. the match has a plain barrel and short dustcover regular grip frame. The stock II is a great production gun and the match is a good budget limited gun.
  6. Try calling Rich at Canyon Creek I got a take out barrel from him a while back great deal and great service. http://www.canyoncreekcustom.com/ Mike
  7. I went the other way Just droped in a 40 barrel I got as a take out from Rich at canyon creek works great I didn't have to change the recoil spring but you may want to put in a heavier spring if you plan to run full power loads or want any chance of finding your brass with my gun in 10mm with a 180 at 170 pf it throws brass 20-30 ft in 40 same pf 8-12 ft with full power 10mm loads brass gets launched into orbit. Mike
  8. I love pellet stoves I have had 2 over the years the one I have now has a built in battery back up and will run 12 hr on the battery or it can be changed out for a larger rv marine battery that could go days. I would get rid of the regular wood stove in my living room for a pellet one but my wife likes the wood burner for that room
  9. I can't look up the rule right now but I belive you are allowed a 3' radius arround your feet for the muzzle to point Bronx the 180 during holstering or un holstering
  10. I think fomeister is correct about the grip being the difference. I noticed the difference grip makes when I loaded up some 130pf 10mm loads for my g20 for production I shoot the gun and it runs fine my son shoots the same load in limited minor and it wont feed from the mags with +2 extensions and stock springs but runs fine with standard mags or the arredondo extention and spring. my othe son who is smaller cant make the gun feed at all. major pf loads and everybody can shoot the gun fine I think grip strength makes a big differene espesialy when you are near the edge to begine with.
  11. I have a g20 that I sometimes shoot production with. so experimenting with some 155g minor loads approx 130pf gun has all stock springs here are the funny results. I can shoot the gun 100% function and slide lock using any of my mags 10rd 15rd and 15 rd with +2 glock base pad and stock spring and arradondo extention and spring. My 150 lb 15 year old sone can shoot the gun 100% out of every mag but the ones with the glock +2 extensions but not 100% slide lock. i figure the +2 extended mags springs are not forcing the round up fast enough for the slide to catch them as it is barly going fare enough to cycle but the stronger mag springs can. 14 year old 120 lb son cant get the gun to cycle more than once or twice before a jam any magazine. he is way to limp in the wrist for this load set up. it goes to show that how you hold a gun is a big part of the equation when balancing loads and springs Mike
  12. I agree with cha lee it looks like the brass is hitting the slide on the way out. I have a match in 10mm and I had to trim the ejector back about 1/8 inch trying to get it to throw the brass closer than the next county running 170 pf loads with the load you are talking about the slide speed will be very high so some tuning will be needed. I ended up putting a 40 barrel in my gun and the brass only went 10 feet at the same power factor as the 10 was thowing 30 so I know that the longer 10 brass makes a difference in it ejection Good luck
  13. I got some of thoes this summer when I couldent find anything else. they work fine in most of my guns but are a litte hard to set of for one of my double action witness' that I put reduced power hammer spring in. the cups are also a litte soft ( I think they were trying to make up for the priming compound being harder to ignight ) so they flatten out more than normal primers. other than that they work great.
  14. My favorite ones are stages with multiple solutions. I love it when you see three or four guys in front of you all shoot the stage a different way it let's you be creative and try your own solution.
  15. Mechtek large frame glock uppers can be either 45 or 10mm or 40 on the same frame I would check with them to make sure there are no problems with the short frame guns fitting. I keep thinking about getting one for my g20. But haven't had the funds yet.
  16. As of yesterday EAA 10mm, 40, 38super, 9mm Glock 20 10mm Rock Island 38 super Rossi 5 shot 44spl still planning to shoot the kel-tech but haven't yet
  17. I run a match in .40 for limited and load with standard rcbs dies and have had zero feeding problems with range pick up brass ( mostly from police glocks ) I have run both plated and cast bullets at longer oals and factory ammo without problems. With Hennings pads and guts I load 21 in the mag so I don't think I give anything up in capacity either. I think they are the best bang for the buck our sport has Mike
  18. I looked up my load last night I am running 2.7 grains of clays under a 158 lrn it shoots so soft I love it. These are .358 bullets but they shoot better out of both my supers than 9mm sized bullets ymmv.
  19. I shoot the same gun in single stack it is a hoot to shoot. I load 158 grain lrn bullets over clays would have to look up the charge weight I load them to about 130 power factor with the stock recoil spring and the brass gets ejected a out 2 feet but the gun shoots soft. I use the McCormic mags and have had no problems with the Tell your son go have funn
  20. Hit a reason to tell my wife I need more guns miss shooting to many different guns to get realy good with one
  21. I belive small frame tangfolios are compatible with CZ mags so I guess it depends on the particular mags you are asking about. here in the US all EAA imports now are large frame guns but I think you can get small frame guns in Canada. so you would have to measure the mags or know what tangfolio frame they fit.
  22. I use a elite match for limited class, so I looked at the pin kit and was wondering if the hammer pin will or can be made to fit in the standard frame or only the copetition frames?
  23. Henning has the blade tech holster in his on line store call him he is great.
  24. I say shoot hobble shoot dont worry about a limp or your time. I have seen several older or injured shooters limp from position to tosition and have a great time doing it. as long as you can move safely go for it. time is not inportant just safety. I can run fast but I still get beat by some older guys that move slowly but shoot quickly and acuratly. Mike
