  1. Dremel for the win!!! Thanks a bunch all, worked like a charm.
  2. Yeah, I filed a bit on my original and made it worse. I thought the top of the feedlips were getting jammed. Nope. I think the magazine is seated too deeply allowing the mag to jam on the front of the uplula on the down stroke. I think adding material to the uplula would work but how to do that. As an old guy I would just like one that works. Not my cobbled up abortion.
  3. I have been using an uplula for 10 years worked on everything I have including the .40 STI magazines. Converted to 9mm with new STI 9mm mags and the darn uplula gets hung up on the down stroke loading a round. I figured my uplula was worn some causing the problem. No. A brand new uplula has exactly the same problem. So what will work in the STI 9mm doublestack mags?
  4. If I wanted a trigger with a teat on it I would have bought a Glock. 95% of folks don't notice the trigger safety. I am not one of those people. Why someone would buy an M&P and turn it into a Glock is beyond me. But that is why they have a billion different guns. People like different stuff.
  5. Have an 81 model that I got new. Will not run anything but CCI mini mags. Replaced all internals, springs, etc, polished chamber will only run CCI mini mags. Very accurate.
  6. Just FYI you adjust Novak's with a hammer for windage. For 2 or 3 years Dawson has been saying they are re-designing their excellent adjustable rear but never happens. I can not imagine why they would redesign their excellent old sight. I have LPA's on a 1911 and they are very good.
  7. Gee guys, thanks a bunch. I ordered the shooters connection one.
  8. Does anyone make a cover for the railway optic. Scopecoat apparently no longer makes the 399574 anymore. Arredondo makes a one side cover and another makes a shade, maybe one side hard cover. Just looking for something to protect the sight from scratches and dust.
  9. Thanks, I do have a bit of overtravel but will back it out a turn or two and see if that affects it.
  10. Is it normal for the pull weight to be different when the trigger is pressed on the top part as opposed to the bottom part of the trigger? My guess is it seems to gradually become heavier the lower I move my finger on the trigger. Range is about 2.5 at top to probably 8 or 9 at the bottom.
  11. Maybe so. But I replaced my factory barrel with the second generation factory drop in barrel with the better twist rate and it was a remarkable improvement in accuracy.
  12. So after the update to 11 my iphone shot timer app will not work. Phone says it needs to update and no update is available. Emailed developer and no response. App is called shottimer. Anyone know of an app that will work with the new system. I really liked my old one.
  13. So I have really liked the timer and have used it for several years. Last month I started Anderson's dry firing plan and have been using the timer 1-2 hours a day. It has been agravating to go to the range or begin practice and have the timer shut off. After charging it shows full charge for an hour or so then 1/2 charge for some hours then no charge. No warning. An external battery would fix this problem but it seems the one they made is out of stock or discontinued everywhere since last year. So does anyone know of a source of external battery for the 7000?
  14. For me, a nose in feed ramp jam is almost always a mag issue, usually a weak spring. Sounds like you may have ruled that out.
  15. Jeremy, I am if it's not broke don't fix it kind of guy.Probably got 15k to 20K on my 5 inch 40. About half with 9mm. I change mag springs the first nose in the feed ramp jam I get and that is about it. Broke a slide lock and replaced maybe 5K ago. JMO
  16. Dawson has not had any adjustable rear sights for any M&P for some time. They are re-designing their old one I guess.
  17. So when did Dawson quick making their adjustable rear M&P sight?
  18. All I know and it may not be advisable is I bought a factory 5 inch 9mm and dropped in in to my 5 inch 40 and shot about 5000 rounds through it with no problem. 9mm magazines and no other changes.
  19. Received mine today and they are very nice. Maybe inserted in a pistol 3 x's
  20. Thanks for the heads up. Bought 2. I do think $12 is quite enough to ship two magazines.
  21. I also shoot coated bullets and prior to that shot a ton of hard cast lead. My coated show no residue of any kind. However, if you have a spare 30 seconds, take a brass brush and wrap a few strands of Choir Boy around it until it fits snug in your barrel. You can also use that soft steel stuff they sell in gun shops. Use it dry. A few in and outs and no more nothing in your bore. It's magic and no chemicals, mess, or work really. YMMV
  22. If you haven't changed the extractor on your Ruger, do so. Best 10 bucks you will spend. VQ is what I use.
  23. They are retooling for an upgraded model of adjustable sight. The old ones were so good I can't wait to see the new one. I bet they lower it some.
