  1. I think, they, like everyone else are swamped. Just go to their contact page and send them an email asking about shipping estimate. They are nice to deal with but I don't think their ordering system is sending out notices like they think it does. Their normal now is 3 or 4 days to ship and then the PO ships by boat for another 4 days. Good new is they have the cheapest shipping on the planet. No gouging.
  2. I would try the Apex usb if it didn't come with the kit.
  3. Yes I have done exactly that. No modifications, no problems other than slide does not lock back on last round. I use it for 3 gun with TF extensions holding 23 in mag. Accuracy is ok. I have not fine tuned it as I have my full size nine. Also poi moved from 40 to nine but not much. I shoot 147 lead 9mm.
  4. Thanks, trying the cleaning first. It was gunky. I tend to overlube a bit, don't follow the 7 drops directions. Anyone have a link handy so I can tell large from small. Or maybe have the dimensions.
  5. Have a high mileage 10K+ 9 mm full size M/P. Out of the last 3-400 rounds I have had a dead trigger 6-7 times. Pistol was used when I got it supposed to have famous trigger job but what I got was a very light trigger that had to be pulled completed bowed against trigger stop to fire. Reset required complete stroke to rear of slide. A gunsmith replaced sear which had been ground off to nothing with a factory one. No problem for 10K until now. Something worn out? Where should I look first. Thanks.
  6. SDM, I was not addressing Dan just any professional that does answer emails. To me it is just like someone ignoring you when you speak or not returning a phone call. It is simply rude and unprofessional. I have known many people who are as busy as anyone who found time to answer their mail. The fix is simple if you can't manage your time so that you can see that your emails are answered just don't publish one. Also, I do not appreciate your sarcasm in reference to my "very special email's". This is not arfcom.
  7. Not that I could find. I ordered some from Botach the 8th of Dec. Then on the 20th after the panic they sent me a backordered email. Ordered from some police supply somewhere, they showed in stock. So yesterday I sent an email and they responded with a snotty it will be 6 months on Smith backordered mags. Good luck.
  8. I don't know of one including mine. But I sympathize. I fail to understand how anyone in business would publish an email address then just ignore it. Yet it is all too common. Busy is not an excuse. My take it is rude and or stupid but either way a good signal for me to go elsewhere. I have learned through experience not to beg anyone to take my money. Nothing good comes of that.
  9. Yes, I use a buffer but really can't see that HV would hurt anything. I only have about 20K through mine most without a buffer.
  10. Shoot CCI mini-mags. I have never had a .22 that was very ammo sensitive, rifle or pistol. I was determined to get my 1980 41 to run on bulk ammo. I like Federal. I changed everything in the slide, springs, extractor, etc. Tried very light and cut recoil springs. I took it to a gun smith for a deluxe chamber polishing etc. Nothing worked. It runs better on standard velocity CCI but not great. I was, and am defeated. Runs like a champ on mini-mags and will not run at all on anything else.
  11. MIssouri Bullet 147's. About 10K mostly through a Full size M/P. I like em a lot. 64 bucks per K. Plus shipping. I have no idea why it would not be worth it to shoot HC bullets.
  12. Double feeds mean different things to different people. I assume you mean it is extracting and ejecting the spent casing then loading two loaded rounds at the same time? I load 189 LFP's and in about 4000 rounds have never had this happen with 4 mags. If it is not ejecting the spent brass and trying to load another round from the mag I would guess your reloads need more horsepower or a weaker recoil spring. edit: loading 1.125-30 oal
  13. Yes, use red loctite. Problem solved.
  14. 3.3 VV 320, 147 lead rnfp, oal 1.150. Gives 131 PF out of my standard. Don't remember what it is out of the 5 inch. About 1000 times more accurate out of my mp's than the125's I was shooting. Stock barrel.
  15. Very clear question. In my opinion only one answer. Dawson adjustable rear and matching front. Can be FO or not. You will need at least a .285 front and Dawson recommends a .305. I have both and tried a .265 which bottomed out my rear with 147's. No one else makes an adjustable rear(up and down, side to side.) At least that I am aware of. Someone makes an vertical adjustable one and call it adjustable but you have to adjust side to side with a hammer. That would be a fail for me. Love your slide by the way. Who did the cuts? edit
  16. Remember you adjust the Novak left to right with a hammer.
  17. All of your ideas will work. I bought a new rod and different springs.
  18. I just now installed my taller front on my full size M/P. Easy peezy but it was about the 6th one I have installed. I got the .100 width with the .040 fiber optic. I think that combo will work fine with your standard rear if you can get the point of aim and point of impact to be the same. I never can so I need an adjustable rear.
  19. Usually you are OK it seems with a vice and the alum. punch Dawson sends with their sights. I was. If you do not want an adjustable I would just replace the front. Call them and they will tell you which. I have messed with mine a bunch on 2 M/Ps. On both I ended up with what Dawson recommends for their adjustable rear which I like a lot. However you have to have a tall front. They say .305 and I think you need at least a .285. They will look very tall but shoot very nice. I tried the .265 on my standard and bottomed out the rear with 125 gr. bullets and am about 3 or 4 clicks high with 147s so now I have a .295 coming for another 40 bucks.
  20. New mag or mag spring is harder to seat. I would just load one or two down at the range. I often do anyway especially if I am not using an easy loader.
  21. Got an extension coming in the mail today and tore open the package on what I thought was a pmag and it was an emag. Anyone tried to make that work with the pmag extension?
  22. I very much appreciate the efforts of the RO's. Tough job and not one for sissy's. Not a cranky one in the bunch. Kudo's to the RO on 4 who had to unexpectedly take the lead on that stage. Super job for first time Roing.
  23. Benelli chick, today? Right now, and I checked again, I get no hot link on the left side where it says stages. When I go to updates then stages I get giant letters round count dated 2010 with 125, 125, 100 filling up one page and no additional pages. Just me?
  24. OK, so am I missing something. The stages link on the left side of the forconquest sight is not hot and when you go to updates and stages you just get the round count.
