  1. Go with a 5 inch guide rod and an 8 or 9 pound
  2. I think they are more useful in a 9mm and to an extent the 40 than a 45. My m open gun was a total jam o matic with even a tuned extractor. Would work for a hundred shots or so then go back to jamming. After I dropped the aftec in it has never had a problem. I'm up in the air about the 49 being useful and don't think it's needed in a 45
  3. It depends on your mount. I have the cheely set back was I want the mount way back as I have popple holes and I don't like the module over the breech face. It's not easy to rack it without a racker. I run a short cheeley on the right side so not much weight added
  4. I use a mag to finish a stage without a reload. I have a blatech single but never use it anymore and just chuck the extra kn the back pocket. Never needed it yet
  5. bobby was saying about a month more and while the price hasnt been released he did say it would be very reasonable
  6. It it would have worked on my mount it would be in the left but I would have needed an extended sidewinder then grind alot off the top and it would have been close. When I shot a verticle mount it was on the left. Since I had o go right side I went with the short one. To me its not that big if a deal as it is rarely used
  7. Mine is on the right side because it will not fit on the left side with the setback mount
  8. I have 2 big sticks and 3 140s for both my sti and glock. It is much easier to load to the 140 than the big stick. I have loaded to the big stick a couple times where i wanted to load after a few shots and go.
  9. Most right handed shooters have it in he left Side so they can sweep their hand back and rack it. I am a right handed shooter and I use a cheeley short racker on the right side as I run a 90 degree setback mount and a left racker would not work with the mount due to where the racker had to be installed. I don't see it as that much slower and would oh really matter on an unloaded start as my gun runs
  10. Use a Dawson in mine. Is it needed? Maybe maybe not but its cheap 10 buck insurance
  11. The SJC is the way to go. While it does modify the frame, the advantage is you get more of a holster selection open to you it Racemaster, Racer, Ghost etc. With the Carver mount, it is a Modified CR speed as your only option. The cmore slideride is also a nicer dot, cheaper and allows you to change modules and adjust the intensity of the dot as well as having a much greater fov,
  12. 10 is allowed for sanctioned competitions. Outside that you can have your 10 rounders loaded to only 7
  13. I would use regular small pistol primers for the minor loads
  14. +1. You could sell that frame and buy a gen 3 frame and basically break even. Alot if people want that gen 2 frame
  15. My guess would be the minor loads are what did it and they did not have enough pressure to seal the primer since you were using mag and rifle primers and the gas leaked out and did that which would explain the circle about the size of a primer
  16. might be easier and cheaper to buy a frame then sell off the one you have than to get a glock replacement which isn't cheap to upgrade
  17. When I had one done it was a different serial number why would ny law require the same number. Can't you buy new glocks in nu
  18. Once you get it shooting where you want you will learn more from targets than you will from a pattern board. Shoot them at different ranges with your loads to see your max range that you know 100 percent if you hit it right it will fall. The better your able to center the pattern the farther you can push it
  19. There was a thread on arfcom in dec before x mad where a guys fiancé offered the seller some. Favors for a lower for an Xmas gift for her fiancé. The seller didn't take it but did post her pics for a while. Oh her fiancé has a real prize there lol
  20. To me yes in 9mm especially. Had constant trouble with the gun on the factory extractor tuned and it didn't hold. Switched in an aftec and no trouble since
  21. The 1 /8 oz dose not deform the shot and hurt the pattern by compressing . The real benefit to a 1 oz load is the deduced recoil over the 1 1/8 load and the extra shot really is not needed in the game of skeet. You will see everything from 1 1/8, 1oz and even 20 ga used for skeet in the 12 ga event. In that especially, the guys at the top tended to definitely lean toward the tighter chokes than the newer shooters. When I shot skeet and now on 3gun still go for the choke for smoke. My shoot off chokes for skeet were generally LM bottom and Mod for the top but I did have tighter I would put in as appropriate
  22. I for one am not a fan of the restricted mags, max amount of rounds in the tube or any of the other lets make a low round count match to try and save ammo stuff. If someone chooses to save ammo they have the option of shooting 1A. Likewise, if someone has plenty of ammo and chooses to shoot it with 2 on everything then good for them. I go to a match to shoot, not to see how many reloads, weird shooting positions etc I can do while shooting as little as possible. In that case I would take my money elsewhere
  23. Shoot some ss minor here. For open especially there isn't a benefit to minor and in limited there really isn't one either. Ss can Wash out if you get your hits and the stage allows those extra 2 rounds to make a difference
  24. I had a custom sight made by them several times in the last year. They no longer do it for free though. I believe they run customs once a week and charge like 20 bucks more than factory one
