  1. Not sure on a 1x4 but on a 1x3 I believe weaver is the shortest
  2. I hate the cell phone here. I finally got one day mostly off to actually attend a shoot in May after having worked all day then driving all night to get to the match and showed up 15 min before shooters meeting. Cell phone kept going off the hook throughout the day. I about asked to have it placed on the rifle stage as a bonus target
  3. Like the 16 myself. For the close stuff I love the 10.5 inch LW
  4. I would avoid the Caspian Slides. I have had 2. The first one split out at the breech face where the FP comes out in a circle around the hole. They replaced it with a second one where the FP safety hole would not take a stock FP safety at all,the vanek FP safety would BARELY fit(slightly smaller than stock) but would not function properly. The FP would rub on the hole in the breechface on occasion. Their response was some fitting required. I understand fitting being needed for the barrel and maby the slide to frame fit but it should not involve having to re machine things like the FP safety hole and the breech face hole where the FP exits. Got my money back from Brownells and went with the Lone wolf. Looks just as nice if not nicer(ordered mine with blind marks), has forward serrations and parts drop in. This was not shooting 9mm major loads out of the first one. This was a regular 35 slide from caspian shooting factory loads
  5. How wide is the 550 with the strong mount used. Trying to see how big of a bench I will need when I get my loader and am going to need to go with a pretty small bench
  6. Its black only. They have pictures and prices listed under their vendor page.
  7. I got one being coated now with the new finish freedom gunworks is offering. Great price, looks good from the pictures and if it wears its 25 for a refinish
  8. Is it sporting Clays or clay targets in general. What is your current skill level? If a beginner, local instruction can be good to get you the bare basics before going to one of the much more expensive instructors.
  9. I agree it depends on the area you shoot in. I know around here SS is pretty popular. I Open on the other hand you couldnt start a fight in. Other clubs/areas different divisions are the big thing.
  10. I would go 16. For the short rifle stages, the 10.5 inch is my fun gun
  11. Try ordering some of the ammo from Atlanta Arms. They make a 40 caliber round loaded to 1.18 for the S_I guns and is probibally as cheap or cheaper than WWB. It is remanufactured but it is a high quality round made for this game http://www.atlantaarmsandammo.com/
  12. It is a little cheaper to buy the mags and change the guts but not by much. The main difference is one you have a dawson base pad the other you dont. I would reather have the dawson base pad than the factory plastic one
  13. I would keep the scoring how ever it has been. If you want to win a match, you need to be able to do all the things in the match. If the person is great at hosers, but cant hit anything at distance they don't win. If someone can hit anything they see but need a sundial timer they don't win. The person who wins and should win is the person that practices everything. That includes the distance for the rifle and loading the shotgun If they want to win the match and they know the long range rifle is what decides it then that is what they need to practice not the feel good stuff they can do all day long
  14. I could see the shooter trying to get another shooter DQed just because theydont like them tc. Just to play devils advocate, what about an RO where calls are not made against friend B that are very obvious calls to anyone in the crowed. The shooter might not be able to be DQed by the spectator but if a major and obvious violation occured then it needs to be taken care. Haven't seen officials showing favortism in this sport but I have in others where schedules and field roations are altered from the program where the friend gets an optimal position/time for all events and someone else gets a last min change to practice fields and times where the sun is the worst for all events. Also seen a ref in the same sport make a call that was directly against the rules, admitted to making a call against the rules(which ended up allowing the shooter to win the event and the match) and have the match director(who was I believe the national organization presedent at the time) back the call knowing it was totally against what the rules stated.
  15. There is nothing wrong with the old NFML mags. In some states, those old mags are all they got if they want more than 10 rounds. I say sell them to someone who cant get new mags and get new mags.
  16. It looks to be an older pre 94 mag due to the u shape at the top of the mag and the lack of metal lineing visible in the holes.
  17. I have used the wrench on the dawson tool and have never had one I couldnt get off. Just maky sure you put pressure on it to keep down so it dosnt slip a little and strip the tool
  18. Moving is a given at this point. Just have to wait till the lease is up to move out as I want the deposit back.
  19. Nope your not alone. Got stuck working the whole weekend here as well.
  20. So they finally looked at my AC which has not worked all season(only took them about 6 weeks to get out) and the compressor is fried. Asked when it would be replaced so I can find someone to watch the apt since I work during their typical hrs. Got told they have a budget for these things and since they have other committments, I was told late JULY at the earliest but probibally mid august Gee thanks, you fix it after the majority of the summer has alaredy passed.
  21. I know the leo one I got was 5.5 pound connector. If its a leo gun I would bet its the 5.5 as basically its set up as a duty gun not a competition which was fine by me for the savings as It had stock sights and I dont care for the adj anyway and was replacing it
  22. Look on the box it will tell you what connector is in it on the lable. Most 34s have the 3.5 pounds. The main exception being leo guns
