For poduction and limited I use the Bladetech DOH. Just nice to have the same draw for each gun. Works good for 3 gun also were you are moving alot more with the pistol in the holster. The Kydex just feels more secure for this than the open holsters
Do the grips fit in the magwell not on the gun? Mine were tough to get on at first from where they cut the hole in the grips. Once mine fit in the slots they went right in the gun
Bladetech DOH for production and limited. Singlestack is a std bladetech. Just have to worry about one draw when switching betwen the guns and just feel it is more secure than the open holsters
Was just looking for something with the angles at the corner of the sight taken in more similar to the one wilson has that is pretty narrow at the top of the rear sight
RIght now I switch between a 5 inch and a 3.5 inch steel frame. I have been looking pretty heavy at the commander aluminum frame or the EMP. I had a chance to to shoot the emp in 9mm at a demo day and was very impressed. Felt good, trigger wasnt bad(on a factory gun) and shot it well especially for a short barrel gun and the recoil was nonexistant.
Springfield makes a SS 9mm. Trigger can sometimes be dececent but definately not a competition trigger. For a single stack its going to be a 10 round mag max with the tripp mags. For a double stack, it depends on the length, guts, tuning etc.
Mine had problems in the upper hole in one upper I had. It would do the exact same thing, trigger goes back no resistance at all. Switching it to the factory hole it has been 100 percent and will set off any primer out there including cci
Are you press checking the gun for the first shot? I had one that would do that if if i press checked the gun with the spring in the new drilled hole. If I put it in the original it would work 100percent. The trigger would go back with no resistance at all
+1 on tha mags. Quality mags can make all the difference. Wilson, tripp, CMC etc. Most of the government models will run out of the box with good mags or VERY minor tweeking ie extractor etc. The smaller guns can be a little more finky and good mag springs are a must in the short guns.
If you would prefer a polymer double stack but have small hands have you ever felt a glock with one of the grip retuctions. They get pretty drastic on some of them and makes that grip much smaller.
For Production, you will want the Classic trigger vanek offers with the Jager striker which has an extended tip to prevent lite strikes. The other triggers remove the pretravel which will make it not production legal
Tried it and I would see no benefit to doing it. Its much slower and you better have great control to pull it off in match conditions. I am not sure why you would want to though
Stupid people are the ones that keep me employed
And agree the stupid ones typically have more kids which are typically dumber. At least the dumb ones are the ones putting stupid videos of themselves with guns on youtube. Maby they will thin the population out on their own
I have tried a couple different followers for the extended mags and have found the #6 work very well and the number 8s work also(did a bevel on the bottom of the 8s which is shown in dawsons video). I run the Dawsons now and have a couple arredondos also. At first I would say load them up to 19 and leave them sit for a day or 2. Also the lula loader is great for getting those extended mag filled.
None of the matches here are members only. If they were I would avoid them. Just can't justify joining a club for what limited shooting I would do. I had considered one club but their orentation day is a day I will never be able to attend
All the time. Try to make a match when I get time but with the job having even enough free time to make a match is tough. Practice is nonexistant. Usually so fatigued by the time I even get to the match just feel like Im wasting ammo. Went to the state shoot this year after working most of the day before and driving all night to get to the match(checked in 15min before shooters meeting). Just took a couple stages to even get in the right frame of mind for being there. Hard to get into the shooting when the cell phone is ringing constantly in the bag
