  1. "Hey honey, would you like to see a single stack?"

  3. And THAT'S when the fight started!
  4. In Florida, you'd likely see a tube of Pro Grip in at least 50% of the range bags on the line.
  5. I think that Practical Shooting (or Action Pistol), would be a great Olympic sport. I'd imagine the already established IPSC rules would make a great basis to start from.
  6. To make his world better that it was. to quote from the film "Kingdom of Heaven": It's my land. What kind of man would I be if I didn't try to make it better?
  7. My first stage, I was so excited, when the RO said Shooter are you ready? I heard the word READY.. and drew and started firing. Took a while to live that one down.
  8. CFRPC Saturday was brutal. Hot and tough stages.
  9. At the local Orlando USPSA match today, one guy on our squad made a turn around a barrel and swept the whole squad. I was sitting at the bench reloading mags, when I heard about 4 or 5 guys go "WHOOOOAAAAAA".... And they all stepped back a foot or two. The whole squad. In unison. The guy kept a good attitude about it, his wife and kid shot the rest of the match and he pasted and set steel the rest of the day.
  10. In detail the holster rule for Single Stack is that the frontstrap of the pistol must be above the belt line. I use a Blade Tech SRB belt loop holster, and it works fine.
  11. Single Stacker Here! I chuckle at everyone moaning and complaining when the RO announces a stage with a mandatory reload. When you're shooting SS, all reloads are mandatory! Welcome to the forum and the sport
  12. Sounds like you're seeing everything you need to see and observing what is happening as it is happening. Still reading that part of the book
  13. An instant classic. Did you see her after she racked the slide? She was like OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAHAHAHA
  14. dammit i almost spit my whiskey on the screen
  15. Gotta learn to see what you need to see, shoot as fast as you can see, and observe what's happening as it's happening.
  16. What an obscene crime. The most gentlemanly place these days is a firing range. For this to happen is a grave horror. So sorry to hear this and my thoughts/prayers are with the family. Let's go hunting.
  17. Best comic hero movie ever. Best movie of the year? We'll have to see. Heath Ledger's best? Absolutely.
  18. Here's what I think is a milestone! Now I know I'm a D shooter, still learning the ropes.. but I was so happy to see this: CFR&PC IPSC Match 6-08 Match Date: 6/28/2008 Place Name USPSA Class Division PF Lady For Age Points Stg % 1 Patterson, Bob A60772 D Single Stack Major N N 424.1361 100.00%<---me! 2 Kidder, Alan A62467 U Single Stack Major N N 380.9061 89.81% 3 Trunnell, J.L. 19. I also have the ISMI 14 pound spring.. I use it when I'm shooting USPSA with the competition loads (barely major PF) and switch the stock spring back in when I shoot factory stuff. I love this pistola!
  20. The hell with this. I'm gassing up the Slabmobile, locking and loading and going for a cross country drive.
  21. Welcome Dan! Go Single Stack! Skinny gun, fat bullet forever! And from your avatar, I assume that you have been a Ranger?

I met a FAM once. Looked like a beach dude in a casual shirt and pants, till he flashed his creds. The way he spoke to me indicated he was fully switched on. Maybe they're not making 'em wear suits when they're operating out of MCO.
  23. What a great looking range! And it sounds like a friendly fun place to shoot! If I ever get up that way, you can be sure I'll stop by for a match. Best of luck!
