    My Mom

My mom passed away early this morning surrounded by her husband and her loving sons. She went quietly and peacefully. We're all coping with her loss the best we can. Arrangements will be at Eannace Funeral home in Utica, NY. Thank you all for your support and well wishes. It really means a lot to me. Mig

    My Mom

My mom is in the hospital and isn't doing so well. I'm headed to Upstate NY to be with the family. I'm not doing OK but prayers are needed.
  3. I haven't heard about these before yesterday but they sound interesting: "The basic make-up of a Sonoran hot dog is a bacon-wrapped hot dog shoved into a soft Mexican roll topped with pinto beans, chopped tomatoes, onions, jalapeno sauce, cheese, mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard. They usually come with a roasted chili on the side – sometimes even with roasted green onions. Sonoran hot dog stands are often found here in Tucson, Phoenix, Nogales, Douglas, and Sierra Vista. These stands are also popping up outside of Arizona, from New York to San Francisco. In comparison, they make chili dogs seem bland and boring. These little babies are thought to date back to at least the 1960′s, but didn’t become more mainstream until the 1980′s." Can't find them locally but would anyone like to weigh-in on them?
  4. Could you give some more details of the upper/barrel/BCG, etc.
  5. Seen it and thought it was well done following the book. The message was more important than the low budget it had to work with since it has taken nearly 40 years to get produced. Looking forward to the next installments.
  6. Had an opportunity to shoot Robbie's Versa-Max at last year's FB3G, found it to have soft recoil, felt good(lightweight) and pointed very well for me. Also, he pulled it apart and it had a lot of "Benelli-like" components in it. He had some work done like cutting the barrel, re-choking, and adding an ext. tube. He said Remington is working up a copy of his gun to bring to the 3G market but didn't give a timeframe. It has very good potential for the 3G game and would offer another choice to the current gas-operated shotguns available.
  7. Congrats on the win! I got to see the clean up after the spill. Should start wearing a helmet . . .
  8. Good match - Howard and crew did another outstanding job. Here's some video:
  9. Here's some additional information about the York 3M3G: - Recognizing Tactical, Limited, Heavy Metal, and Open, (as per USPSA rules) and “Outlaw Open” for you Saiga owners (No mag restrictions) - All 3 member must shoot the same division. - Everyone must shoot pistol and shotgun at least once and rifle at least twice. (Nobody can be a one gun specialist, but luck is not required either) Stages Application Topton 3M3G is likely to run their match the same way.
  10. The rule & match in question meant: no extended chokes with ports in them.
  11. Always enjoyed that match and hope to see a 2012 return. Thanks to the AMU for all of their hard work.
  12. Correct. It works but it's a life style change.
  13. Interested . . . Jeff said details are forthcoming but what equipment rules(open, tact-optics, irons, etc.) would be recognized in the two divisions/matches for both professional and amateur?
  14. Another fanastic FB3G! Many thanks - Aaron, Daniel, Lee, Linda, Sandra, Joe and all the AMU and soldiers involved. Thank you to all the sponsors and supporters of this match. Congrats to all the division winners and a special shout out to Greg Jordan. Looking forward to next year's event.
  15. From the Cmore manual: ADJUSTMENT NOTES: 1) The windage and elevation adjustment screws both have locking screws which must be loosened before the sight can be adjusted. Failure to do so could result in damage to the sight. 2) The adjustment screws are extremely sensitive, especially the elevation screw. You will only need to turn them slightly to change your point of impact. 3) The adjustment screws are tight to turn. This is normal. Make sure to use a screwdriver that fits the slot correctly and make sure the locking screws are loose before attempting to make adjustments. 4) Elevation: Clockwise moves point of impact up. 5) Windage: Clockwise moves point of impact right. 6) Remember to loosen the locking screws before making an adjustment and lock the locking screws after each adjustment. 7) When making final adjustments, tune the elevation first and lock it down, then repeat for the windage. ZEROING PROCEDURE: 1) Turn the sight on and adjust the brightness to suit the lighting condition. 2) Shoot a 3 shot group at a target 10 yards away to get on paper. 3) Loosen the locking screws and adjust the windage and elevation so your group is centered and 2 to 3 inches low. 4) Since the sight can only be zeroed for one distance, zero for the farthest distance you will shoot with this firearm. 5) Shoot a 3 shot group at the final distance you determined in step 4. 6) Adjust the windage and elevation until zero is achieved.
  16. They are worth it - excellent trigger.
  17. I like the Vltor Low-Profile Gas Block set screw model.
