Class is a separate issue. As stats person, I apply the current USPSA classification in effect at the start of the match for the declared division, verified at check-in. People can, and do, change divisions at check-in. Equipment violation bump to open is the only division change after first shot.

Make that your 'Plan Z' and go for it. It's very doable.

I've used the classifications current at the start of the match (including staff shoot days). That is typically the update for the month prior to the match on the current once a month update, subject to change when instant classification updates are available. There is a similar issue with age categories, uses age on 1st day of match, per appendix A2, #3.

Keep them warm before the match and between shooters, inside a jacket or vehicle, for instance. Battery gets low faster in cold. Left in unheated stats shack during the week, needed to charge over an hour to even power up.
