  1. it's all fun and games until some one gets a double. fyi. the target was not preserved by the attending RO's. it was laid on table and a stapler placed over the hole to keep the target from blowing away. i did the best i could. lynn
  2. my father in-law had the same problem at his lake house. his cousin, a retired exterminator, told him to get a couple of rat traps, mouse traps screw them to the side of the house, and put a little piece of aluminum foil on the trigger. problem solved. lynn
  3. it seems everyone had a great time. we had fun putting on the match. thanks to all the sponsors and the shooters that showed up. lynn
  4. i don't like this at all. this is leading to the idpa type of stage. uspsa course of fire: upon start signal engage all targets as they become visible. ipsc course of fire: upon start signal engage all targets as they become visible, except after engaging t1-t6 make a reload, then engage t7-t13, then make another reload and engage t14-t16. lynn next they'll make virginia count field courses.
  5. i think they fill the tires with dirt. i still don't like tires anywhere on the range. lynn
  6. all the stages have been set up for the match. looks like we will have a great match, and the weather will be better than the nationals. lynn

  10. dude, Rob Boudrie used the palm scoring system for the last 2 or 3 years at the Area 7. there will always be a learning curve with new technology. lynn Did they experiance the same problems? i think rob had several palm training sessions prior to the match. i do like your idea of 2 palms per stage. the printer would be nice, but that can get real expensive. i have a couple of IR printers, but just jotting down the scores on paper is our backup, which is an necessity. lynn

  15. hi all, i requested the article that was in the front sight magazine a few years ago. the nice people at the uspsa office were nice enough to send it to me. i scaned it and here it is for you. see attached pdf file. i made about 100 a few years ago for the TN Section Champ. we didn't need them that year, but may need them this year. i used a spounge and rubber gloves with exterior grade poly urathane on both front and rear. this and the topping of the targets with a rain shield worked great the year of the MS Classic. lynn target_wet.pdf
  16. check your bullet diameter and check the crimp on the bullets. lynn
