  1. the jones and team memphis will be there sporting new team shirts. i have never made it to the real nationals, this is my natioals. i have always had a great time there, and plan another great time. maybe BE will check out my squad and thump me on the head. lynn
  2. well, the springfield armory match is history now. we had 291 shooters shoot 5 steel stages in 2 days, i'm still tired. the springfield staff worked their butts off as well as the volunteers from our club and we even had volunteers from FEDX help out with the event. most of the competitors were novices and some have never shot a pistol before. i think the people at springfield did a great job to support shooting sports with their event. of course, robbie leatham did a great job of showing people how much fun you can have with pistols. there is some pics of the event at: http://www.memphis-ssa.com in the photo gallery.
  3. l2s, yes, similar, but prettier. the caliber difference in this whole discussion needs to be addressed. body guarding is not my forte. the machine pistols seem to be the way to go. one solution would be to have different personel carry different guns. more guns, more options. side track: mp5s are bulky and big, yes. but they are really fun to shoot, full auto and suppressed. hee haw!! lynn
  4. i remember some time back where someone was converting a m16 to pistol length without the stock. now if i can remember where i saw it.
  5. did anyone notice the price on that baby? whoa cowboy! $149.00 is that white gold?
  6. i thought something was wrong. the Springfield Armory's Action Challenge is this weekend in Memphis, Tn. since i'm match director, i've got to go to a meeting tonight after work. (which blows chunks) however, i will get to meet TGO.
  7. a man in the army said that to you? was he recruiting you?
  8. i use to miss to the right, due to shooting with my eyes and not a proper sight picture. sweeping into a target, my eyes are there first, but the gun wasn't. this all boils down to not properly indexing the gun on the target. lynn jones
  9. tom, that'll never happen!! ha!

  11. gunner, like vince said, no big deal at a local match. if this is a big match, say like the nationals, a state match, or area championship, the stats crew would check his or her classification with USPSA headquaters and put him/her in that class. remember this, if the person is classified in one division, doesn't mean that they are classified in all 5 divisions. i'm have a master class in open and limited, but i'm not classified in production or revolver. now if your buddy wins the match, he's only winning one division. if he is unclassified, he still wins the the division and whatever goes to the winner is his. now, if he doesn't win the division he gets nothing, prize table wise and class prize because he is not "classified". i believe this is how it works. hope this helps. lynn jones
  12. and we don't want to now where the poison ivy is, ok.
  13. well, at least he didn't suggest you take up bowling instead of shooting.

  16. well, i guess it's better than listen to the fat bitXh mouth off (really loud) about her life while she cuts your hair. please shut up, lynn jones
  17. SA i think they giver reshoots on tuesdays.
  18. Flex, you're correct this is a bad course design. or drawing the designer appears to use the no shoots as a vision barrier. lynn

  20. steve, if you are going to shoot a "no shoot", please in the future, try to touch the line. thanks!
  21. TDean, as long as the shots go through the port. i'd say it's legal. lynn jones
  22. yes, no shoots are impenetrable. sounds like you got the correct call. most of the time you can line the bullet holes up and tell which is which, if we're talking a swinging no shoot. static targets look for the grease mark like SRT Driver stated. lynn jones
