  1. here's the jones way... first i have 2 email addresses b_l*****@msn.com b_l*****@hotmail.com anytime i go to a website that i rarely use, but have to have a email address i use the hotmail address. i check it once a month to keep it active and there is about 600 spam messages. my primary account is the msn.com address. i turn the security up only to allow email from people from my contact list. this system seems to work for me. good luck patrick lynn
  2. try this guy. his name is max davidson. he does excellent steel work. http://www.gunsteel.com good luck. lynn
  3. i believe that a gun maker can not or should not make a pistol to compete in a particular division. if they want to, they have to accept the consequences. the population of USPSA/IPSC shooters is not enough to sustain a company. the uspsa/ipsc rules are for our members, not to align with or against the gun makers. just my thoughts. lynn jones

    Video Camera

however, the camera does add at least 10 lbs. we're talking one camera, right?
  5. erik and jeff89, the whole gun runs great. i have a new blaster on the way as we speak. i'll post pictures when i receive it. one more thing about benny's gun, they're ready to rock & roll. no break-in period. i have a open blaster that benny built 3 years ago for me, it is still as tight as the day i got it. one more thing, you will not have to wait a long time for him to finish the gun, except if he is off shooting matches, nationals, etc. lynn p.s. erik, i don't think even you could break his sights!
  6. thanks brian and everyone, funny, i was thinging of getting a akita. i kinda like having unusual dogs. one of the funny things about chows and akitas is that they are clean, meaning they find one spot in the yard to poop in. field dogs go where ever. the aussie shepard is interesting, but there isn't a breeder around here. labs are great, i know, but the can be a handful. labs seem not to grow up for about 2 years. i'm going to wait awhile on a new pup, i still have the sheltie collie. this sheltie is high maintance, thyriod problems, skin problems, but she doesn't bite. again, thank for the advise. lynn

  9. WALMART URINALYSIS One day, in line at the company cafeteria, Jack says to Mike behind him, "My elbow hurts like hell. I guess I better see a doctor." "Listen, you don't have to spend that kind of money," Mike replies. "There's a diagnostic computer down at Walmart. Just give it a urine sample and the computer'll tell you what's wrong and what to do about it. It takes ten seconds and costs ten dollars...a hell of a lot cheaper than a doctor." So Jack deposits a urine sample in a small jar and takes it to Walmart. He deposits ten dollars, and the computer lights up and asks for the urine sample. He pours the sample into the slot and waits. Ten seconds later, the computer ejects a printout: You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water and avoid heavy activity. It will improve in two weeks. That evening while thinking how amazing this new technology was, Jack began wondering if the computer could be fooled. He mixed some tap water, a stool sample from his dog, urine samples from his wife and daughter, and masturbated into the mixture for good measure. Jack hurries back to Walmart, eager to check the results. He deposits ten dollars, pours in his concoction, and awaits the results. The computer prints the following: 1. Your tap water is too hard. Get a water softener. 2. Your dog has ringworm. Bathe him with anti-fungal shampoo. 3. Your daughter has a cocaine habit. Get her into rehab. 4. Your wife is pregnant...twin girls. They aren't yours. Get a lawyer. 5. If you don't stop playing with yourself, your elbow will never get better.
  10. ericw ericw, they are losing their guns in droves. they now can only have .38 cal and 5" barrels.
  11. erik, we have them at our range too. heaven forbid you shoot one of there props. man talk about hissy fits. in there terms, they were squatting on our territory, this is the IPSC range. what'd expect, our bullets actually go through stuff. the loads they use barely make it to the steel. i think they reload the same lead bullets. anyway they moved all there stuff to the back side of our berms, so no more trouble from those guys. lynn
  12. mike.45, put the dremel tool down and back away slowly.
  13. they are having the same discussion in Australia, since their government has outlawed calibers over .38 http://www.ipsc.org.au/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/Ulti...gi?action=intro
  14. if money was not a concern, i'd have a generator installed that runs off of natural gas, which is plentiful around here. i mean, just not at my house. in 1992 we had a ice storm that did about as much damage as this wind storm. however, we were able to stay warm with the gas fire place and take hot showers with gas water heater. for what it's worth, let's put this past problem in perspective. memphis, shelby county, tennessee is not a small town. there is probably 1.5 million people in this county. more than 700,000 homes and businesses were out of power for a week. lynn
  15. ericw, you know, all of a sudden, they started play commericals for Generac Power Systems, Inc. on TV!
  16. thanks guys for the support. this was the second chow i owned. the first chow was so sweet and nice. she would rather you pet her than eat her food. this last chow was too much "ALPHA FEMALE". i still have a shelty collie, but i need another dog, any suggestions? chows excluded. AikiDale that kind of dog would eat me out of house and home, and poop me out of yard!
  17. there is still people without power here in memphis. that's how bad it was.
  18. here is a link for more information on the match, entry form, FAQ, etc. http://www.springfield-armory.com/2003/Act...nSept/index.htm TGO will be here, come and meet and greet.
  19. My chow crossed the line once to many times saturday. i was going to give the dog a bath. no big deal, done it before. i lean down to pick her up, "WHAM" bite to the face and eye. she has had "hot spots" in the past, a clear sign not to mess with her, of course. not this time. i was so pissed off, it took lots of self control not to go get the blaster and blast her. my face looks likes like i was beat up by my wife. anyway i took her to the vet today and had her put down. i really like that dog, but you just can't have a dog that is unpredictable and bits the hand... sad day for the jones.
  20. i got to shot this one sunday, time 12.70, pts 83 6.45 factor, open. lynn jones
  21. if, there were any changes, L-10 should be single stack only. and vince, you need to buy kevlar panties, i wouldn't bother with the vest.
