  1. If you worry about speed it will run right over you. Speed is a by-product of proper form and function. Most of all have fun and start shooting
  2. too funny I want mags!!! These ProMags aren't sturdy enough for an oaf like me. I love the pistol, how about $300 for the pair of your mags TT?
  3. Anything that makes a Glock closer to a 1911 can't be that bad, can it?
  4. +1 I think a hoser and a standard in match are ok, but please no more than one of either. Ps. I can hose, but it won't help you in this game much at all. Especially at the bigger matches.
  5. Used them for years with no adverse side effects.
  6. Please find a 12 year old, and quick Ethernet is not for dial-up. It is for networking using a RJ45 equiped ethernet cable. It may look like a phone cord, but it is not, it CAN NOT dial a phone #. If you are using Compaq of that vintage you might even have more expense getting a modem that will work. USB may suck, but it might be the only option you have on the cheap.
  7. You don't move down, once you are a class you a that until you get old or injured. The USPSA website has a very thorough explination.
  8. Don't worry about your class percentage. You will improve much quicker if you focus on shooting instead of the classification system. The prizes aren't worth caring about.
  9. If I was training to be a National Champ, or going to the World Shoot. I would definitely have a B/U gun. I would practice with my back up and shoot my match gun for matches only after I broke it in with 3-4k rounds. I've had some breakage lately and it sucks!!! Not defective equiptment, but just regular wear and tear. I'm shooting production this next year and I for sure will have a back-up (or two.) Guns are the cheap part of shooting. Spare parts are ok, but spare guns are better. I am going to go to "match use only" mags also.
  10. Two words: "Frontier justice" Screw prisons, they are going to bankrupt us.
  11. Pay someone to do it, it should be pretty dang cheap, and it isn't worth the hassle if you don't know what you are doing.
  12. +1 All the stuff we used may fail "eventually."
  13. FYI For sight in you can use the public range is just past the gate to COSSA, just go straight. It is open 24/7. When you go into the range, follow the road in until you see the road fork, and there is a HUGE parking lot, the trailer house on the right is where you most likely will register.
  14. I've talked with many people about tungsten lately, STI and KKM said they got out of it because tungsten is too just too brittle (STI has sent me at least 3 replacements.) I've broken many of them, but my gun never stopped working after they flew out the end
  15. I like the look of them on Dave Sevigny's pistol, I would like to try them on the XD if they make them, but I haven't got a response from my e-mail to them.
  16. I haven't had to do that, but if you did, you could just use the RM bushing if you switched back.
  17. Do they only last that long or is he being a smart @ss?

Isn't the XD illegal for IPSC production?
  19. Dillon will fix it if you feel guilty, send BE a dontation to ease your guilt.
  20. +2 I've tried just about every combo, even some really dumb ones, and I reached the same conclusion.

The Dawson sights are nice and you can do them yourself if you can get the old front sight out I liked the ones Dave S uses, I'm not sure if they have the for the xd yet.

My XD trigger is 2 lbs, tiny take up, tiny overtravel, I'm not willing to mess around with it more than that because Springfield told me flat out, they won't sell parts to customers. I told them flat out, that is just plain stupid. That is the only downside that I've seen to the XD so far You just can't have spare parts, but you can ship it to the factory and they will change out the part for you.
