  1. Dude, you must be Mrs. Zip's cousin! She'll put that on a prime filet. Not much mind, you, but still it is ketchup.
  2. Friggin Kelley! I love your stuff! Now I am going to take this to the range. Thanks a bundle man.
  3. I prefer BOTH!!! I love NM green chiles. Yet, my friends wife gave me a great chimichurri recipe, and I would be hard pressed to say which I prefer. I do like my meat on the seasoned side though. Even my prime rib gets pepper, horseradish, and the juice stuff. Just ribbing about being a vegan. I absolutely love the grill, smoker, oven, and bbq for converting tasty animal flesh into art. I only wish I had the time and resources to get my own. I rely heavily on my buddies who do for my meat. There is currently 50lbs of meat in my deep freeze. That doesn't count the tuna from the company fishing trip I missed last year. Elk, Beef, Bison, Yellowtail, Dorado. All the protein harvested from the planet by friends of mine. Kind of cool I think. Still gotta hit this Texas Roadhouse if I'm there. Sometimes you just have to say what the hell to the diet and go for it. JZ
  4. The Bison steak I had last night was out of this world. I'd like to be a vegan, but then they don't let you eat meat. Please enjoy and eat more than you should. Not every day you get to have a big ol steak.
  5. True. This will go nowhere. Loving this!!!
  6. My biggest problem was that the range was 10 minutes one way from my house. I must have driven an hour the first day I was doing load development in .40 and 9mm. 40 of each, and then the various charge weights, and oals, then going to accuracy the following weekend. I guess if I'd stopped to worry about many things I would be more nervous. Too much fun finding the personal holy grail load for a particular pistol. Just be careful and you should be good to go. But then again, I like reloading almost as much as shooting.
  7. Wow, and I still have 20k on hand from the last time they were hard to find. Going to hate biting the bullet when I buy primers next year.
  8. My friends did this while I was healing from hernia surgery. So jealous and your darned right I'm going to see this. I read and reread the book. Kind of gets to you. Me anyway. Just hurts sometimes to read how hard someone fights, kicks some serious tail, and all to no avail. I'm sure that some of us have family who have either died, or left part of their bodies, and souls somewhere far away. It's sure sobering to think what these brave people sacrifice. I feel humbled by this. JZ
  9. Really interested to see how this holds up over time. I love what you have done especially the color. Makes me want to get another and copy that set up. Just beautiful. I remember that TS was crazy accurate! It loved 180 BBI and 180/165 Bear Creeks. Never felt the need for the magwell, but seeing all of these blunted-out pistols has me contemplating. Hmmmm....
  10. Sat at dinner with an investigator for CPS last year. Belts are okay as long as they leave no PERMANENT mark. He said welts, as opposed to cuts, were not considered permanent. So parents, BELT AWAY!
  11. Where can you buy Lovex powders in the U.S.?
  12. Just drove south from Washington the other day and was amazed at the lack of snow between here and there. Places I thought I would stop and take pictures of the snow with the daughter were bare. Just a little snow on top of Shasta and the lake is waaaay low! Crazy. Another drought SUCKS!
  13. I hate the reality after shooting my new shotgun this morning that I have yet another gun to feed. And I want another upper, and I need more mags, another press...........
  14. Just took the 712 out of the box and ran a few hundred shells through it. This gun is very light. Are the other 3 Gun shotties this light? Without the weight, I feel a bit beat up. I can say that I was having fun learning to load it and trying different methods. The gun sounds "springy" as it cycles, is this normal? I am still rather surprised at how light this thing is. Any of you do anything to mitigate recoil? What is the best load for the ranges at which we shoot? Which of the chokes in the box is the best to run? Thanks, JZ
  15. Yeah, I think there is a reason that we lose more pilots from auto accidents than air crashes. (I was told this by a pilot and don't know if it's true.) They just drive like they wish their cars had wings. I'm sure there are exceptions. My uncle and his friends seemed to like to drive very fast. He still does so into his late 60s. He likes to shoot bowling pins too. That's kinda like drag racing with a pistol to me.
  16. I have a friend who I was talking to today. She and her boyfriend work on that ship and another ferrying scientists to the poles. They are on their land leg right now, and can't wait to talk to their friends who are on the boat. Most of the crew will stay with it once the passengers leave. She said there was enough food for the crew for up to a year. As to Global Warming, who knows? Maybe the planet just wants to shake off the fungus. Your springs? You can always replace the new with the old should you issues. IF the gun is new though, and you only have one season on them, I'd at least keep the old ones as said before. Yoiu never know.
  17. Yeah, but his rally stories usually out shined his war stories. (He flew A-7 Corsairs in Vietnam.)
  18. My uncle used to rally. He drove a Saab Sonnet. Now he builds and flies his own planes. I think the cost was about the same.
  19. Classic resurrection! Run Forrest Run!
  20. If you want some I was in an ammo remanufacturing plant that does Super and Sub sonic 300BLK that was right near my Dad's place in Camas Wash. I think it is in Washougal 'cause the name is Washougal River Cartridge. Looked like good ammo at a reasonable price. He also had most common calibers. .556, .308, 9mm, etc.....
  21. Just picked one of these up recently. Anyone use one and what did you think? It's a 1 power waterproof optic. Going to try it out and see how I like it.
