  1. Kgunz, How do you like the IR cammera? Is it worth the money? We are considering one on the range for security/vanalizim issiues.
  2. Hence the term 3 Dog Night We are keeping the thermo about 68 now and will see how the upgrades help this winter (New Windows and doors). Of course it will probably be a wash since the rates have gone up again
  3. Only problem I have had with my electronic is hiding the key pattern from JR. I take that back, the Keypad went defunct the first year, but the manufacturer had a service rep there in 2 days. He told me to have a combo with 6 DIFFERENT numbers in it, not a tripple ( ie. 515253 ) . It has now been going strong for 5 years with no hitch.

    $2.75

It just dropped from $2.97 to $2.92 in the time I was at work today here in the North State. I talked to my folks tho and they are still being zapped at $3.78/gal about 130 miles east of me

    GMTL

NOOOOOOOOOO! that link just brought flashbacks of parachute pants and cabana boy outfits ! Too many memories of bad High dances And yes I am that young
  6. Welcome EERW and congrats on a covetted number I had a bit of an eye opener this evening, I found the Classifier percentage caluculator and used it for the few that I have shot since getting my USPSA membership. Well, I am deffenitely safe in my classification of "D". Now I have to get my percentages out of the teens and move them up to the 40's Oh well, at least this now gives me a goal to strive for.
  7. Heck, The Graveyard with the pumpkin reminded me of a CAS stage. looks like y'all had a lot of fun both in desingning and shooting that match.
  8. He is good about not touching his face and we use some of those comercial "shooters" handiwipes before food. Usually he will spend most of his time re-arranging Dad's shooting bag or cart. Also, when he helps reset steel, he is wearing his gloves. For brass and shot shells, he really likes to use a Pik-stick tho. It is just that the stick is longer than he is tall and it affects his ability to pick things up. When he sees the Nut Wizard in action, we'll have to get him one to protect the others.
  9. Ya Know OL, We found one of these on the road into the range this morning It does look like it works well, I just use a 3-year-old instead Ray was asking about if we had seen it tho.

    Which one?

But of course, use any advantage you can get Take the family to the Gun Club or just go yourself? (BTW we went today and shot 2 rounds of trap each )
  11. Thank you all for reminding me to check my spare tires. One of my concerns is that both of my vehicles have the spare mounted under the vehicle, not inside it. That should also be a consideration for the OP, where is the spare mounted. I beleive that Salt/traction sand etc. will have a bit of affect on the spare if it is wedged up against the frame for a long time.

    Which one?

Thank him, as long as he took me to my home Special occasion or just because
  13. Modoc

    Which one?

If it is quality sip, otherwise give it to your buddy to slam Single Malt or blended?
  14. Nah--- That's the nightstand gun (and next on my wish list). It is perfect for the home ranch where you're more prone to be chasing 4 legged varmints that 2 legged ones

    Which one?

Same As a SS Snob 7's or 8's
  16. Don, I am one of the archaic ones still running Rabbit Ears for the "free" TV 'Bout all we really watch is PBS and Home Makeovers (wife's favorite show). Now DVD/VHS is a whole nother story. How many 3 year olds do you know who like John Wayne as much as (gag)Bob the Builder?
  17. Hop and Steel, You guys are making me very envious This match is just a hair too far to go for now. Sounds like you had a great match and I really enjoyed reading all of the smack between the 2x4 shooters and the real (SS) shooters
  18. Of all things reading this thread and had a yougurt comercial come on with (drum-roll) Richard Simmons What a thing to hear after finnishing supper.
  19. Kimel, We are looking at using those blocks (2' x 2' x 4') for a protective berm down the side of the 100M Silhouette range at one of my clubs. The quote was about $60 for each block. I have actually seen where they used old 1 ton straw bales to cut down the side splatter from steel. That being said a good 15' berm is the best to shoot for.

    Whoops!

At first blush, I thought that Outerlimits found a photo from one of our local counties . After a bit of closer inspection, I am glad to see that we do Not have a lock on foolish incidents in the name of law enforcement . And Like Ed Deegan, I have seen great evidence of Darwin at work in many a construction zone on the Highway.
  21. Nah, It was some shells that the Hurricane blew in Benny, I am looking at the unlucky version of that right now. Just got a bulged barrel from the gunsmith to use in Hunter Safety where someone tried to shoot out the wad.
  22. I am not finding what I want in a search. Just finished building a crittur gittur/fun gun for my father. He looked at and wanted the White Oak Varmit upper. Well I ordered it for him and got everything else dialled in and he took it out and found that th .95" dia barrel is a little too heavy for him. I am now looking for a lighter barrel and have been having little to no luck finding any weight listings. He has played with a carbine upper and likes how it feels. I am thinking about sending the upper back to John H. but I need to know which barrel profile to ask for. Thanks
  23. I don't know about his rolling just yet.......... Of course I like his work so much I am slowly aquiring at least one sample of each of his designs. Lets see 1885 - 45-70, 1886 in 45-70, 1892 in 25-20, 32-20, 38-40, 357, and 44 Mag, 1887 in 12 GA, 1897 in 12 Ga, 1911 in 45 ACP, I'd like to find a 1913 aircooled but SWMBO is a bit against that. I may be lucky to get the Highpower and A5 tho
  24. Another you know what's scarry, If the MG that he is holding is what I think it is, that Airsoft runs about $ 3K One of my intermittent shooters runs a surplus and Airsoft shop and is building an MG42 because the only one made comercially costs WAY too much! As to the other MN, why a push dagger for a knife?
  25. NAHH, Just decided that I did not want spend the bandwidth and I still would have been typing at this time stamp They do some Interesting things, but I do enjoy my job. It is a lot like being an architect who specializes in remodels, who knows what you will find when you open up the road bed (Jimmy Hoffa anyone?).
