  1. Henning has basepads, Dawson has FO front sights (listed as STI GP6).
  2. http://www.strictlyipsc.com/gear.htm
  3. Even with a Henning flat trigger, EGW hammer and sear..my Limited trigger isn't as nice as my old, supersighted Match. I think the use of a roll pin to hold the hammer vs. a captured pin may make a bit of a difference.
  4. Someone had one for sale a short while back, but I can't remember if it was cone or straight, might want to browse the classifieds for the past month...
  5. .....I'm going to bet on a tight extractor. I installed a wolff extra power spring and I started having issues that sound like the issue he's having.
  6. The Limited feels more like an SP-01 in the hand than does a TS. The TS is wider at the beaver tail. I've also waffled back and forth between the TS and the Limited ...and an old supersighted Match I bought off the classifieds years ago as a back-up. Besides the awesome trigger, I just don't think the TS is any better than a Match.
  7. I love the TS rear sight. The wide notch speeds up sight acquisition. Install a front fiber optic sight, though. I've contemplated swapping out my LPA rear on my Tanfo Limited to a TS fixed. I had no trouble with precision with the combination. You should just make sure the sight is centered before pulling that trigger!
  8. In particular, an unmodified TS is wider and the Limited has a width much like a standard 75, feeling almost like an SP-01 at the beaver tail. The TS doesn't fit my hand quite as well, even though I can shoot them about the same. The TS trigger is awesome out of the box..
  9. K40 mags, Grams spring and followers kits (CZ TS parts work), with Henning basepads.
  10. Tap down or else you can eff up the top of the slide if the punch goes awry.
  11. Ramshot Competition is available at Grafs and Powder Valley, it's pretty fast. I bought some for my stash to replace Solo 1000, which replaced Clays for me.
  12. Can you describe a little more what to trim? i installed the trigger all was well, and then no reset while live firing. Take it apart, no problem. Slide on, problem. TIA Take a look at this sear. The leg on the left side of this sear, pointing down at 4 o'clock in the photo is what needs to the trimmed. the the surface pointing to the front of the gun needs to be filed back. I would make sure the pre-travel screw is fully seated into the trigger before you start filing, though. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/425351/egw-hard-sear-eaa-witness-springfield-p9-steel
  13. Be prepared to trim the sear leg a bit to enable it to reset. Always fit the slide while testing, as it may seem to work with the slide off, then will not reset once the slide is installed. Also, I found the stock sear spring to be incredibly stiff, resulting in a higher than expected trigger pull weight. Use a tool to lift the front of the sear spring then raise and push it all the way to the back, slightly stretching it and reducing its strength.
  14. Guy down the road from me builds holsters for Matt Mink. He uses some very thick Kydex and I know he can make a P-09 holster.http://www.rlncustomgear.com/
  15. The stock TS rear sight is one of the best points of the gun. Use as a slide racker and it's super fast to line up the front in the nice wide notch. I almost want to mount one on my Tanfo Limited. At least I know it won't break.
  16. I've had both. The CZ is better made, without a doubt, though I am currently shooting a Limited just because it fits my hand a little better without modifying the frame. I will eventually get another CZ and do a grip reduction on it.
  17. I have his thumbrest on my Limited. Nice piece, but the checkering on it was so sharp it drew blood. Knocked down the points with a file....
  18. It's not the easiest install, but It's a very nice step up in trigger performance. Gives you more tuning options while fitting much more precisely than the factory part. Unless you have extraordinarily long fingers, stick to the medium if you like the reach to the stock trigger.
  19. I would also pay attention when you rack the slide slowly and look for any slight rotating motion in the barrel, that would indicate some asymmetrical forces being applied to the slide stop. If I were to make a guess, there is some tolerance stacking that has caused the back part of the barrel kidney to be under too much stress when in battery???
  20. You might consider going in the opposite direction with your spring weight, to a 12lb spring. It's not the forces during recoil that is killing your slide stops, it's the slide slamming forward. I've never broken a slide stop in a CZ, but something with yours is not right. I'd certainly mount the barrel in the frame with the slide stop through the barrel "kidney" cutout, just like it would be if installed in the slide. and check for anything unusual. Are you running recoil buffers in the gun?
  21. Just buy a new hammer strut and pins, they aren't much $$.
  22. I wish Tanfoglio would get their quality control in order. I have a Match 9mm and a Match .40, both made in about 2003-2005, they are top notch in fit and finish. The Limited I bought in 2010 and the one I just purchased have had numerous quality issues. I know next time I'll order several and ship back the others that fail inspection. In this age of CNC, I just don't know how some of this stuff gets made wrong in the first place.
  23. Probably the most important point that will get dirty is the area behind the extractor, and while you've got it out, change the spring.
  24. Go for the Limited. The pro is too close in price to a Limited, but the balance of the Pro may be more to your liking. A .40 Match makes a decent limited gun, too, especially if you can dig up and older model with a supersight. I would try to buy one in person or order two and send the worst one back, EAA seems to love to sell blem guns from Tanfoglio, so it most likely won't be perfect if you examine it close enough. I'm not just talking about scratches, but poorly machined frames, using parts that should have been tossed, and dinged, poorly crowned barrels. Both new Limiteds I have bought, one in 2010, one this year, have both had multiple quality issues. I'd look at a CZ Tactical Sports, too, they have awesome triggers right out of the box. I've gone back and forth with them and Tanfos. The Pro can be converted to SA quite easily.
