Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I agree. Which is why I'd rather just build up a 'normal' Stock 2.
  2. Maybe the Lim Pros at the time only had the single sided safety? This is what I suspect happened. Hopefully Tanfoglio switches back or moves to the Stock 2 safeties.
  3. While that method works... I'd rather Dawson just use a properly sized set screw. I don't know why they wouldn't? Does the Henning front site use the proper sized screw?
  4. I think I've heard of people using a cut q-tip as well. Does anyone make a floating trigger pin for the Tanfo? I know cgw makes one for the cz guys. Sent from my XT1058 using Tapatalk
  5. I know a few people had issues with the original Henning base pads allowing the mags to be over-inserted and inducing a jam. Does this re-design prevent that like the Springer pads do? Glad to see they moved away from the set screw for mounting.
  6. Not sure which ones you watched, but I've found these two to be helpful.
  7. Agreed. I currently shoot a cz but have large hands, it's too small for me. Looking to get a large frame Tanfo. I'm really going to miss the CZ aftermarket and all the great CZC support, but the CZ just doesn't fit well. I wish CZ would just build a large frame shadow. I'd buy two!Sent from my XT1058 using Tapatalk
  8. Whatever you do don't do this. So long as the gun is accurate and reliable enough how it fits you is the most important thing for getting the best performance out of your gun. I almost went back to the G34 because I was so frustrated with grip issues on the CZ, then I discovered the Stock II and it is great. I have found that the main issue isn't how "big" the grip is but how long (dimension parallel to the bore) is. I went through the exact same problem you are going through. I had to figure it out the very expensive way. You hit the nail on the head. "Long" grips work best. I actually had the chance to shoot a stage with a Stock 2 Thursday night and I liked it a lot. Although I wish the grip was just a little bit "longer", it wasn't quite perfect (but much improved over my CZ). I wonder how the G34 compares with largest backstrap. I was disregarding the pro grip advice because I agree and feel that gun fit is one of the most important aspects. My current CZ isn't production legal anyway, so a new gun is a must. Why not make sure it fits great?
  9. I may have to give Glock another look. To be honest the grip angle just feels unnatural to me, although I'm sure I could get used to it.
  10. What about Tanfoglio Limited Pro versus Stock 2? Why does everyone recommend the Stock 2 with almost no mention of the Limited Pro? Both are production legal and the Pro has a slightly longer barrel and is a bit cheaper.
  11. Kansas City That's what I don't like about the Sig. Seems like there is almost zero USPSA following and aftermarket. It would tough to go from the CZ to that. I'll still be sure to check them out. Does anyone have experience with the stock Triggers on the Stock 2 versus the Xfive? I don't have any experience with the Sig, but the Stock 2 trigger from the factory is horrendous. Like, comically bad. And that isn't from the frame of reference of competition guns, I'm talking I'm the frame of ANY guns. The DA is like shooting a finely abused HiPoint or Taurus snubbie. The SA is probably heavier than the DA of a tuned SP01, and much less shootable. This is frustrating. I figured a $1k gun would have an excellent trigger, especially when a CZ costs about half. Who is the go-to for Tangfoglio triggers/parts?
  12. It's certainly not all I care about. It's just something I need with my size hand. Notice I said "competitive" handgun in the first post I'm looking for suggestions that I can look into and eventually pick the best option for.
