  1. I would clean all the oil out and replace it. They are not expensive.
  2. I have shot a limited amount of SNS golden bullets in 45 and 9mm and so far so good. I also have some .38's to try out.
  3. I have run them in 9mm, .10mm, and .45ACP, all Glocks, with no leading problems at all. I have found them to be very accurate as well. I really like not having a cloud of smoke when you shoot them.
  4. I run those sights on a G34 and I like them. I think the fiber optic in the rear sight makes a difference.
  5. What kind/brand of stock do you have on that? Your rifle shoots as good as it looks.
  6. I just hope it means they will get to producing some powder. The thing that doesn't make sense is we can't find any powder and they aren't selling enough to keep the doors open. Hopefully production will go up and the price will go down. It's a thought anyway.
  7. My BMT loader got here yesterday. It is without a doubt the way to go! Loading and unloading moon clips is a breeze. Thanks to all that recommended it. The extra dollars are more than offset by the ease and efficiency of it. Great tool.
  8. I have considered this powder but like N320 I can't find it locally or online. Like Gold Dot bullets and rimfire ammo, it is obviously made out of "unobtainium".
  9. VV N320. Burns clean, low recoil, case fill is excellent. Wish I could find a case right now! I have tried similar powders but nothing can match N320 with a 147 gr. bullet.
  10. I would like to use the steel pin tumbling method but having to deprime first is an extra step in the process. An engineer friend of mine told me the same thing MarkCO stated. Many years ago I tried a formula for water, citric acid and something else. I wound up adding those cases to the scrap bucket. I have read very little about trying nothing but Dawn other than the cases might not be as shiny. I think wet tumbling has possibilities but different additives are needed. Just my .02 worth.
  11. I have about a dozen tubes for large and small. I fill them up before I start loading. By the time I have loaded a thousand rounds or so I'm ready for a break anyway. But I have to admit having a vibraprime or something similar would be nice.
  12. My experience mirrors what Sarge said. On my 650 consistency seems to be the key, hence getting it "warmed up". And a 550 is pretty much the same way.

I got my last sets from Manny. Quality was great, shipping and customer service second to none. I was surprised when he answered the phone himself. Wesselman makes a quality product but I to had problems contacting him to place an order.
  14. I use the 14/20. It puts a good shine on the cases.
  15. I believe I am going to get the BMT. I watched a video of one being used in 45 ACP and it was fast. It costs more but I believe you get more. Does anyone sell them or is it better to order from the maker? Thanks to all for the quick response and advice. This a great site with so many knowledgeable shooters.
  16. Thanks for the offer. I have a few Ranch clips I've been working with and I like them. I was looking at the TK clips as a possibility for competition if they offered an advantage.
  17. The BMT does look nice, and a lot faster loading or unloading. Anyone know of a fire sale on these? LOL. Carmoney, I am going to take your advice on the moonclips. I am using some of them now, and wondered if an $8 moonclip was going to benefit me since I'm a long ways from the Master level. Or most of the others come to think of it. :Loading by hand might have been okay 20 years ago but it just ain't fun anymore.
  18. I like WSF and prior to that used WW 231 with some 124's. That load was about 130 PF or so and would tear out a hole at 15 yards making head shots at 25 doable even for me. But the WSF is softer shooting, at least for me.
  19. If brass were not so expensive I would like to shoot my Glock Mod. 20 in a few matches. I just checked Starline and you can't even backorder, which is not surprising given the current state of things. As was just said a conversion barrel might be the way to go and save the 10mm brass for when you can reclaim it.
  20. I have decided remooning by hand for my 625 JM is not the way to go. I have been looking at the TK Custom http://www.tkcustom.com/cart/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=120&cat=%2E45+acp+-+S%26W++Moon+Clip+Tool, along with those nice but expensive moonclips, and the moon clip tool http://www.mooncliptool.com/. i have searched a bit but did not find anything recent on these although I'm sure there are some threads here that address my questions. Suggestions and advice are welcomed. Also a good place to purchase these would be a great help.
  21. Use any good lotion, or even vaseline if your hands are really bad, and then put on a pair of rubber gloves when you turn in for the night. Keeps it neat, non-greasy, and helps stop those devilish cracks from occurring or at least helps heal them faster.
  22. I use 2 used dryer sheets in the small Dillon tumbler and 4 in the big one. I still get some dust but not nearly as much. I have also started dumping it into the squirrel cage outside of the basement after noticing a film of dust on everything as you did. I have also changed the dryer sheets halfway through the tumbling time and that helps with a dirty or dusty batch of media.
  23. This is the load I wound up with for a 625. Very accurate and low felt recoil. Only problem is I have less than a pound left.
  24. The action job on mine is really nice, but it is 100% reliable only with Federal primers, which is fine with me. A small inconvenience for the better trigger. However, you can get a really smooth trigger that will be slightly heavier, and it will crush even CCI primers and be suitable for most anything you need if for. I like the 625 a lot but would prefer a smooth face trigger to the serrated one. And I like the GP100. Tough as nails.
