  1. Could you do me a favor and PM or email them to me as well? Email is area1@uspsa.org. Can't guarantee we'd use all of them but I'll make sure they are passed along.
  2. I had one for awhile. It was my go to gun for someone wanting to try Production. Worked pretty well. No malfunctions or other issues. Trigger was a bit heavier than if like and accuracy was just so so. Sold it to a buddy as his house gun.
  3. Don't know but there are lots of guns on the list that are no longer being manufactured. If memory serves the gun Ben shot for a couple years has not been made for a few years. Does it matter?
  4. Talked to John Amidon today. He said the paperwork was filed a few weeks ago. He tried to update the website but for some reason it's locking up on him. Didn't realize till yesterday that it wasn't on the website. It has been approved and legal for Production. Working with the web guys to try and figure out what the hang up is with updating the page.
  5. If it was an etched reticle I could see doing that. But not with a red dot. The dots vary in size and are rarely exactly what they say they are. Also if you have it dialed up to even a reasonable intensity the dot will bloom and be bigger than the specified size. Better to have the smallest dot possible, use a rangefinder and just know your holdovers.
  6. Stages 1-9 are all pretty quick. Minimal reset and low round count. Should be plenty of time for chrono.
  7. Eventually I expect that USPSA will be the conduit for information of this type. However, it's been less than a week since we voted to do this. Gonna take a bit to get someone at USPSA designated to get everything Practiscore needs. Especially with just about everyone, decision making wise, heading for or in Tulsa. In the mean time, the link Eugene posted is the best way for suggestions to get where they need to go.
  8. Are you familiar with the layout of the range? I wouldn't guarantee a Stage 1 start would save you any amount of walking. Until there is a range map with where each stage is going, I would bet the actual walking distance is going to be pretty darn close. And I say that as someone who shot the Vegas Nats a couple years ago 3 months after a torn Achilles Tendon repair. I was about two weeks out of the boot and still managed to get around OK. Heck you may find out that squad 33 may save you walking. There's no sense in getting upset about something you, a. can't change, and b. may end up better.
  9. "Their incompetence or lack of foresight" Many people find being called incompetent insulting. Thin skinned wussies. I can't tell you the reason they left squads 20-27 intact. I didn't look that close at what the squadding looked like before they moved anyone. Looks like there is quite a bit of empty space towards the later squads, Definitely makes sense to try and move some people into those spots. I've also never been that worried about what stage I start on or squad I shoot on. There is no guarantee with any match that you will get THE squad you want. As an MD I've moved people around as needed up until the match starts. I guess I don't see what the issue is. I can see if they swapped you to a different schedule, AM/PM/AM, from PM/AM/PM. That might mess with travel plans. Of if they split up your group and scattered them around. But just changing the stage you start on?
  10. Have you emailed Ken or the Practiscore folks about this? Sounds like a good idea to me. Ken has been incredibly willing to make needed changes. He just has to know they are needed.
  11. I've used that chat feature several times and have always had good luck. Of course I don't hurl insults at people trying to put on the match either.
  12. I doubt it. But why would you want to ghost load anymore? Just buy an extension tube long enough to hold the shells you want. No one ghost loads during the course.
  13. I zero based at the furthest range I'm going to use the, 50 Yards. But I also have a lot of time practicing accounting for mechanical offset. Enough that I do it automatically. The closer you sight in with a high offset sight system the more dramatic any inaccuracies in range will be. If you are planning to hit at 10, but end up taking the she shot at 20 you will probably be a couple inches off from what you expect. If you zero at 50 you're going to be within that offset till that range at least.
  14. Yes, but the bottom one looks like the earlier p226 beaver tail. If you want that contour, just buy an older gun. Modifying a new one to that profile would not be allowed.
  15. Squad 18 is a morning squad and Squad 19 is an afternoon. Even though the numbers are close the squads aren't. They cut the last AM squad and the first PM. At least that's my read.
  16. I bet LTC-B licensed shooters will think LTC-A lincesed shooter are special too. Lets just make uspsa 7 rounds so NY is not offended, as a bonus we lose 8-minor I have no idea what your acronyms mean.
  17. One is based on a special status as an LEO. The other is based solely on the fact that they've been around long enough and have invested in the sport. Besides, I think most of the California contingent will tell you that if grandfathered mags or parts kits are allowed, it's not that hard for a new shooter to get them. Pretty sure I've seen more than one California shooter with a SureFire 60 round mag that didn't even exist when the ban went through. We're not trying to make anyone an expert on the law. But if there is a definite limit. And everyone at the match is shooting 10 round mags, it's kind of BS to have someone show up with a 29 rounder. If you're running your match as a run what you brung capacity wise match, keep doing it. If you're stuck in a state where you aren't comfortable doing that, now you have a way, under the rules, to comply with the law. You guys are reading way too much into this. The sky is not falling.
  18. Do you mean to say that people who legally own magazines, like say in Cali, shouldn't be able to use them based on this? The rule is geared at states, like New York, New Jersey and Hawaii, where there are no preban magazines allowed. The limit is 10, period, unless you are LE. Many states, Cali, Colorado, and I'm sure there are others, prohibit the purchase of new hi cap mags but any of them millions of mags owned prior ot the ban date are perfectly legal. This is not aimed at those states. Chuck, I think there are two issues here...one is legally owning a hi-cap (pre-ban) magazine and the other is in a state that has a ban on the limit of ammo allowed in a mag. Shouldn't the limit be the same as the state law? If a person owns pre-ban hi-caps in a state that has a 10 round limit (grandfathered or not), then in that state they should only be allowed to shoot the state law capacity limit, else they would be breaking the law (which USPSA does not want to happen). Now if a person living in that 10 round limit state and has a grandfathered magazine and he/she elects to go into a neighboring state that has no capacity limit, then they should or will be allowed to use the pre-ban hi-cap mag there, but not in a state where a limit is imposed. Am I missing something here or just totally confused? Not sure I've heard of state that allows you to possess a magazine higher in capacity than you are allowed to load into it at a match. New York is the closest with their, interesting, 7 only in a mag, unless you're at a range, then you can load 10, but it can't have a total capacity of more then 10, unless you're special, in which case you can have as many as you want, but if you're only allowed 7 and you're not on a range, then you better not load 8 or you're evil, statute. Can you give me an idea of a state or law you're thinking of? Because I have no idea what you're talking about.
  19. No one is asking you, in Colorado, to do anything. However there are some very clear cut examples, that have been pointed out numerous times, where the law is clear. Take New York. There is a hard 10 round limit. No pre ban, no exceptions other than LE. That is what the rule is aimed at. Not Colorado. And I'm pretty sure I even used Colorado as an example of a state it doesn't apply to. There is no law in Colorado that prohibits possession of higher than 15 round mags. No reason the rule would apply in Colorado.
  20. Not sure I agree that is the fairest solution. There are 4 Divisions new shooters can participate in without needing PreBan equipment. Let them shoot one of those. Heck the only difference really is Open. Is it really fair to make 60 existing shooters change for one new? Now if those 60 shooters are breaking the law to play, that's a different matter. In this case they are completely legal. It's also not a fair match if those 60 shooters are restricted to 10 rounds, and an LEO comes in with a 29 round big stick and smokes everyone in Open. (Ok, we all know LE can't shoot, but still).
  21. Do you mean to say that people who legally own magazines, like say in Cali, shouldn't be able to use them based on this? 22. If the law allows pre-ban, it is legal to shoot preban mags. The rule wouldn't apply. If the law doesn't allow preban, preban aren't allowed and the rule would apply. There is no provision for restricting it because someone chooses not to buy preban mags.
  23. There's info in the match announcement section about the dates. There is no link because we haven't even finished the 2013 Nationals. Same deal as this year though. SS Nats in Barry, IL and the Revo Nats will follow, also in Barry, IL.
