  1. Well, trimming sometimes over 100 nails a day, I can add a little to this thread..... If you can grind them down with something like a dremel or similar, that's your best bet, if he/she can handle the noise of it. My Dobermann got freaked out from the sound & wouldn't let me do it. If you have to cut it with regular clippers, do a little at a time....instead of waiting for them to get really long(quick grows too, so you won't be able to cut it as short as you want without bleeding), cut the nails a bit more often. If you do happen to make them bleed, some home remedies you can use: brown sugar - just pack it in a chunk of a bar of soap - press the nail into the soap **These are things I was told will help...I use a clotting powder at work** Or...you can just take your dog to a professional groomer or your vet.
  2. So far, so good in ole' Canadia eh.... ...but I wouldn't speak to loud
  3. Nice pic. I groomed 2 Rough Collies today....MASSIVE jobs(they had a lot of matting/undercoat). Should've taken a before/after picture of them. I hope you tip your groomer well!
  4. LOL....no, I love my current gun, thanks. No new gun for me for Christmas this year (unless you already got one )
  5. Hey! Not entirely true!!! lol dcbfluff....That's pretty awesome. You two will have a great time shooting together.
  6. Yeah, I'm going to hold back my comments about that.... But great match Storm. Thanks for taking on the huge job to put it on & all the people who helped. We had fun.
  7. I work with dogs & have seen a lot come in and out of my workplace throughtout the years. I have a soft spot in my heart for Dobes I've only had the oportunity to own 1 in my life so far. She was awesome. I live in a small place right now, but can't wait to get 1 or 2 or 3 when there's more property to handle a dog like that. You don't see many people spell it "Dobermann"....like it's supposed to.
  8. Did he propose in Bali? That would've been sweet. Walking on the beach after a nice dinner, tide running over your feet as you walk on the wet sand, sun is setting..... Did I mention that would've been sweet?
  9. That's insane, lol.... Since I moved I haven't had anything to grill a steak on & I miss that. If I want steak I have to pay quite a bit for it at a good restaurant(if you go cheap, you get crap, my opinion). One thing though...I don't prefer a lot of spices on it. I can't stand a good quality cut of meat that's heavily covered in spice/sauce. It totally takes away from the taste of the steak.
  10. Appreciate everyone/everything you have while it's/they're still around. The phrase "Don't sweat the small s***" is true. I have trouble with that sometimes.
  11. I agree with Capitol City's Halloween match. How can you top that coffin stage?? Well, maybe we could've started lying in the coffin or something....
  12. Thanks to everyone who was involved in putting the match on, very well done. It was a lot of fun. Nice to see familiar faces & meeting new people as well. Thank God the rain didn't last too long! Hope to return to future matches there.
  13. Aw, thats so dirty... (but then again, I'm holding back comments of my own, lol)
  14. She needed somebody to build her an Open blaster!! And a fine blaster it is!
  15. What...there was no pace car to drive last weekend??? lol Yeah, I had to shoot the whole match with 4 mags as one of my mags was too long to be legal. We plugged all my (U.S) mags down to 10 rounds, but with the basepads, one of them was still too long. It all worked out, thank god! Awesome pics. I wish I had taken some. Got a lot of video though.
  16. "Why did I not switch to Open sooner?".... I hear that! I'm totally loving it. I really love my open gun, superbly made!
  17. Wow, didn't expect to hear about a match so close to home! Nice pics...I'm guessing you shot Saturday?? I came by to say HI Sunday morning. BGC is my home club.
  18. Someone a co-worker knows got divorced from her husband and her new license place is: WASHIS (was his) Apparently it's a flashy car of some kind.
  19. "I heard if you get Matt a few drinks he can really dance " LMAO!!!!!!! I have NO comment to that...at least not one I can say on a public forum! P.s. Thanks again!
  20. Yeah, your first mistake was letting her shoot the Open gun! After I got my first "taste"... it was hands down, open division! Naw, I think you guys will enjoy it together...I think its cool seeing couples who shoot. I love the fact that my boyfriend and I do. Makes it so much more fun. And I do clean my own gun & reload my own ammo as well....on occasion his ammo too
