  1. Cool pics!! Awesome symbol.....in Canada, we're represented by the Beaver!
  2. Banning smoking inside all public places was the best thing Ontario did. Now non-smokers can go out(club/bar) & not come home stinking of the cigarette stench. Also, recently they made it illegal for places like gas stations/convenient stores to have cigarettes on display behind the counter. They have them out of eye sight in hopes it will stop people from buying.....but really, does it work? I'd like to see stats on that.
  3. Umm...no. Have fun at the Falls. There's lots of things to do, for all ages.
  4. I got to try out a bunch of guns before I settled on a CZ SP01. I replaced the grips with thin aluminum ones that made it easier to get my hands around (I am 5', also with tiny hands). I went to Open last year. Even with the size of my hands, gripping the open gun doesn't give me any problems. I would totally recommend open, but if it's not in your budget, my next choice would be the SP-01. Glad to see your wife getting into the game!!
  5. LOL!! Hopefully(I'm sure) Matt & I can get together with you and the other guys at a match somewhere this summer. Take Care.....
  6. Gosh, MY eyes got watery...& I'm on the other side of the fence!! I am so grateful I have the dad I do, and I'm sure all of your girls think the same way(even though they may not say or show it). In each daughter's eyes "they" have the best dad in the world!
  7. HI, Anyone know of any matches between February 20th and March 1st in: Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama & Florida? Anything would be cool Thanks!!
  8. I can some-what relate to your situation. I made a move last year that took me away from family, friends & a successful steady job. I worried so much leading up to it, but after it was all said & done, I worried for nothing. I moved for a great reason & I'm so glad I did. Life is about risk, & I think it makes you a stronger person. Good Luck in all you do. It'll work out.
  9. If it means nothing, why do most prospective buyers ask? My Dobe was CKC registered, along with her parents, but I didn't care. I understand why some people may think the pups HAVE to be registered, but there are other more important things they should be asking. AKC supports/promotes shows like Westminster, which leads to the above posts about breeding.
  10. I saw a show on t.v once about how breeders (who are involved in the show ring). It was absolutley horrible. the things they do to get that perfect specimen. If they got a puppy that wasn't good enough, it would be destroyed. Example: Rhodesian Ridgebacks. One breeder admitted to killing any puppy that wasn't born with a ridge on their back. Having a puppy whose parents are champions isn't really important to me. I just want a well bred dog. For Dobermanns, I do like the Eurpoean line better though. They look a little different than the canadian/american.
  11. You look kinda lonely on that by yourself...mind if I jump on? (what am I getting myself into?).....
  12. That is Awesome, Congratulations!! Better 23 years later, than never at all, hehe. Where was she from?
  13. My dad got me into auto racing when I was young. Got into Nascar only a couple years ago. Went to my first race last year at Michigan international Speedway. I watch CART/IRL mostly. Been to races at Las Vegas, California(fontana) & Texas. I was diappointed to see that IRL has cut a lot of races from their sched, especially from the tracks I like. Can't stand F1. talk about the same guy winning? Michael Schumacher winning every race when he was on top was boring. Not to mention the GREAT race weekend fans at Indianapolis had in 2005!! Not a fan of Toyota entering nascar. Overall, I try to not pay too much attention to the political BS & try to enjoy the race. I like to watch fast cars & close racing.
  14. Sorry to hear that. I knew Wobbblers was common in the Dobermann becuase I had one. I knew someone who had to put their Dane down because of bloat(very common in breeds with deep chests). Hopefully they can do something to ease the process. So much bad news about people's pets on here lately(or is it just me?) If someone's dog has a litter, please post pics! We love puppies!!!
  15. Awesome!! Thank you to whoever designed that one. I don't care what the rest of the stage looks like, I LOVE starting down range!!
  16. Matt Cooke...good Canadian guy. Watched him play before he made the NHL.
  17. +100 Don't forget a card. I absolutley love getting cards for special occasions. And as mentioned, you have to write in it. It makes it soo much more special & meaningful than to just sign it & have the card company do all the "talk".
  18. I'm glad to hear you stayed with him while he left. I worked at a vet clinic & many people don't stay(I can understand) But when I had to put my girl down last year, I had my face next to hers, so that I would be the last one she saw. Sorry for your loss....
  19. Its the worst part of owning a pet. I'm sure you and your family are making the right decision today. Sorry to hear it. Think of the good times.
  20. Hey, your wife shoots...be happy I'll be at the SS Nats, but not as a shooter. I'm playing spectator/photographer, which'll be different. I've always shot the matches I went to.
