  1. Maybe its just me, but I think the wait list progressing has hit a halt. Ive had 28 people ahead of me for two weeks, maybe a day or so over that. I hope this thing keeps moving along, Im getting antsy.
  2. I dont think there was light yet either.
  3. I know what you're talking about. My brother in law carries bandaids regulary b/c he cuts himself once a match on the corners, and he bleeds like a stuck pig ! I keep telling him he doesnt have to mash the button, it will fall easily if you just hit it.
  4. I havent seen it yet, but Ive heard several times from credible sources that if your connector gets bent beyond 90* (degrees), then this can cause it to not reset. Basically, when taking out the connector, you should push it out from the other side of the trigger housing where it just shows a little tab from the bottom of the connector. Some guys pull it out from the right side and it bends it. Over time, I ve heard if it gets bent beyond 90*, it will cause failure to reset. I guess just try another connector and/or take yours out and look at the angle.
  5. I think USPSA is getting a little ridiculous bumping shooters to open for normal wear and tear and b/c they dry fire the crap out of their guns. If it looks like its been heated or purposely bent out, then thats one thing, but if you can tell its been reloaded a million times, then let's not get crazy. I mean how much are you actually gaining. Yeah I know how tight our sport is and the tenths of a second and all (I've been doing this 12 years, figured out the importance of time a long time ago), but unless the frame is an obvious advantage/modification, let's not go bananas. So, some guys are getting into Production as the beginning level of IPSC, supposed to be cheaper and easier to get into than going STI or otherwise. Now, if you have a small amount of wear or tear, due to practice, we're going to make you buy a new gun or replace the frame after so much practice. STI's last for 100,000 + rounds. If this continues, you might be as well off just taking the plunge and blowing $1500 + on the gun, cause you're now going to have to buy a new Glock every year, depending on practice. Let's use a little common sense. Again, just my opinion. PB, let us know what Amidon says. Thanks,
  6. Your mother, you and your family are in my prayers Dave. I'm sorry to hear what happened. My mother suffered a minor stroke a few years ago. It affected her somewhat, but not paralysis. I was with my kids when we visited her at home and my daughter gingerly tossed her a ball (my daughter always tossed the ball with grandma). Her reactions were affected and very delayed and the ball bounced off her shoulder, it was like she never reacted, but I knew she had tried to. I almost broke into tears after seeing that and how much it had affected her. I have a family history of stroke, but those who have had it didn't really watch their health/workout/ and eat right. My God be with you!!

Id go with Warren/Sevigny sights. They have them for competition and carry. I have them on my match and carry guns and love them.
  8. Thanks Sandro and Nemo. I shot a clean match and wasn't quite sure exactly where I'd be until I checked the scores at the end. I think I was almost as happy beating Ernie Langdon (a former National Champion) as I was winning Production. Can't wait for Area 6. Congrats to Paul, Shannon, Cliff, Marshall, John Guida and Harry, and I can't forget Wadette, cause w/out her, this wouldn't have happened. The weather was perfect.
  9. I hit the link at 12:00:08 (8 seconds after midnight) and I had 39 ahead of me. I am definitely on a Master or A class computer guy, those guys are GM computer guys to get 39 ahead of me in 8 seconds!! I now have 33 ahead of me.
  10. Leo, I guess the 12 hours has passed and we're still on? Hoorah!!!!
  11. Rob, So does this mean the list opens midnight (Tues 27th turning midnight to Wed 28th or Wed 28th turning midnight to Thurs 29th)? Thanks,
  12. Last I heard was the CR 630 (that was closed yesterday for fires) was opened up today. The fires are 80% contained, but supposed to be windy today and might add to the problem. Havent heard about the actual range yet, but was told by a Fire Official from Frostproof that yesterday, the fires were right by/next to the range. He said "behind" the range, but he didn't know which direction that was (ie north, south, east, west) Hope its still going on.
  13. Well, Got done shooting the US Steel National Championship and I loved it! I have never shot a steel match before it was fantastic. Derek and Mike did a great job in organizing and running this event. Due to work, I had to shoot the whole match on Thursday (with mostly .22 shooters on squads), but it was a blast. This match was very well run and setup and I couldnt have been happier. The only thing I would like to do different next year is shoot in multiple divisions next year and have the time off work. For those that are going to get to shoot it, have fun, sorry to those who couldnt make it. I would shoot this every year if given the chance. Hope Derek and Mike keep this thing going.
  14. Well, whatever the technique, I'd say, for Dave and apparently others, it works pretty darn good! Hard to argue with Dave's success and accomplishments.
  15. Does anyone have any contact (ph number, email, etc) info for Petros Milionis? Thanks,
  16. I agree Flex, good response. Hopefully we can get this changed or worked on. I think it is ridiculous to change this. Several people like the large frame Glocks, but shoot it in 40 for the brass savings, not the down loading or anything else. Keep our fingers crossed.
  17. I stayed at the Quality Inn this time and it was pretty nice, no complaints. But then again, if my vehicle is not broken into and everything stolen, Im fairly happy. Leo, Didnt you use to stay at Green Gables or Inn on the Green years ago? I dont remember the exact name, but I know it had something to do with the word Green. How was it ?
  18. I dont think there is a conspiracy and I know Frank doesnt intentionally do things like this, but this has always been the case with every match Ive ever shot, attended or heard about, except this past years Nats, and that is only b/c it was the Nats and there were only two divisions, Open and Production. Anyone who has watched or paid attention to the Fl Open participation the past several years has seen that Production is not Revolver and bring in 5-6 shooters. But things still dont change and I dont have a problem with that, I just dont want new shooters to have this misguided belief that Production is going to be given any more merit than L10, Revolver and SS. Open and Limited are the bread winners for USPSA and that will never change. I shoot Production b/c I like it, not for any other reason. I could go back to Limited tomorrow if I was looking for finishes that mean plaques or prizes, but that is not what I want to shoot. I understand you're not going to get much of anything shooting in Production unless you win the match, and not just the Fl Open. But again, I dont want the new shooters to have this misguided belief or be told something other than the truth about why Production is the way it is. As Ive said for the past 3 years (since the Tn Section 3 years ago), major matches but priority on Open and Lim and to some extent, and I mean some, that's semi OK b/c they have the most amount of shooters. I feel for the guy who wins B class in Production and finished 10th overall out of 60 and gets nothing, but the guy who wins first D in Limited finished 90th out of 108 and gets something or the top C finished 43rd overall in Lim and gets something. Again, Ive won my share of plaques and such, so I really dont care, but stinks for the guy on his way up in a division other than Open and Lim. That's why I say, shoot what you like and forget there is anything at the end, do it for the fun of it.
  19. This, while unfortunate, was based on the expected participation at the time when the awards were ordered. Had Frank known the number of people that would sign up in Production, they would have been recognized more like Open and Limited were. To further illustrate this, the current plan for 2008 will have Production elevated to a level similar to Open and Limited with class recognition and a cash payback for the division. Obviously, the cash payback will depend on participation within the division. Nah Leo, this exact format will never change and no matter what Frank or anyone else says, I (along with everyone else) will not buy this one. There was actually less shooters in Production this year at Fl Open than in the 2 previous years. In 05, there was 76 and in 06 there was 68. This year there was only 60 shooters in Production and no matter what the attendance is, every match always does this exact same thing. The national trend is that Production is growing faster than any division in USPSA and even though there were fewer shooters this year than in the last 2 years, they still again do awards, prizes, etc the same way each time. If that was the case, Frank has had a minimum of two years to change the format and nothing has been done. The only match Ive ever shot that had Production remotely close to Open/Limited award/prize wise is this past years Open/Production Nats, and thats only b/c there were only two divisions and it was the Nats. This is the way it has always been and always will be, no biggie. You should be here for the fun of the match anyway b/c you're never going to get or pick up anything for any division except Open or Limited, those are the two bread winners.
  20. Perhaps you didn't read the thread that documents several of our experiences w/ N320 and temperature swings??? My load changes over half a grain between 95 degrees and 35 degrees.... Man, that's too bad, Tony... Sorry I didn't get to meet you, too.... Heal up and get back to it!!! I didnt have any problems with 320 in my loads being temper sensitive. My loads chrono'd at almost the exact same velocity as they did in 80 degree weather.
  21. A couple hours work tomorrow and I'm off. Right, couple of hours my a#* !!!!! Get a real job Shannon !!! This make your own hours crap has got to stop. How the hell are the rest of us supposed to be able to keep up with you working real full time jobs??? Im in the wrong business, I need to be into your business. You sure you didnt want to bring Gary's ammo with you as your match ammo???
  22. Leo, Is there still room on one of your local Bay area squads? I heard there were a few spots left.
  23. Leo, You better stick to promises you can keep! The way the weather changes, who knows what its going to be doing this weekend. Leo, you aware of any big names coming this year?
