  1. Like 7 years ago when I shot Lim, I had my gunsmith take weight out of my Edge slide. He simply made it a flattop and made the scallop/stirrup cuts at the muzzle like at normal 1911 slide, instead of the full profile slide the Edge has. I remember it did seem like it cycle faster to me and also a little less bounce. I'd do it again.
  2. I think several people already have the Pro and have had since last week.
  3. If youre goin to shoot Lim and have the extensions, CR Speed works well. Also look at the new Double Alpha pouches.
  4. The height of the front on my MP9L is .190. Ill have Kenny make me a .115 wide, .185 high serrated f/o front for the 9L, that should be perfect.
  5. Ben, I checked out your site, good stuff!! I especially like the "I hang my self worth on shooting." Dude, you are the luckiest man alive. I wish I had that kind of time. Between work and family, its tough to find time to practice, but I can find some, I just have to be REALLY detailed/planned/prepared for any practice session I get. Kevin
  6. dcarter, I tried fitting my 9L into my Blade Tech made for my G34 and it fit. I would like one a little more fitted to it like the Kytac or Blade Tech specifically for the 9L, but for starters, it works.
  7. Kevin, are you sure it's the "L" that you have?? Y Yeah, I definitely have the 9L. Is the Pro "that" different at the muzzle from the 9L? It will fit in my MP Blade Tech revolution holster, but sticks up a bit. Id like a Kytac USPSA legal holster for USPSA Prod and a Blade Tech Prod legal to play with as well.
  8. The famous Ky-Tac. He's located in the next towm over from me, which has been very convienient. Hey Mike, I have quite a bit of Kytac gear, I love his stuff, but it is hard to get sometimes. I had told him a month or more ago to start the process for his holsters in a MP 5inch. Let me know how you make out and tell Dave if you talk/type to him to make another one for me. He does have the email I sent him, but just remind him. Thanks and I'll keep you posted on how my testing goes w/ my MP9L compared to my MP9. Kevin I know Kevin, Im blessed that I see him around the local matches. He couldnt do much without having the exact gun, and Ill bet he will need the M&P9L version too, before ha cen make them for those. Is yours a Pro or a 9L? Its a 9L, but I believe the width and dimensions are the same, except for the very slight contour at the muzzle end, but I dont think that should matter, not on the length. Even if it isnt perfect, Id take it. Im waiting on my holster for the standard MP9 right now. I have to have him alter mine a little and set the belt loops so the front strap of the gun (as it sits in the holster) is even or very close to even with the top of the CR Speed belt. With his standard design, it sits too high and the longer slide guns G35/34, and Im sure the 9L and Pro, I have to pull it up too high. I had shoulder surgery several years ago (SWAT accident) and if I dry fire and have to pull it up into my armpit, it eventually nags my shoulder. So I had him alter this one so that doesnt happen. Kevin
  9. The famous Ky-Tac. He's located in the next towm over from me, which has been very convienient. Hey Mike, I have quite a bit of Kytac gear, I love his stuff, but it is hard to get sometimes. 10. Gary, Are you talking about the MP9L or the Pro, or both? Mike, Where did you send it to get fitted for kydex? Kevin
  11. Blackbird What shop did you get yours from. I kept getting ahold of my dealer and telling him I had good intel they were being shipped and coming in at the end of the week, but he wouldnt listen, kept saying they're not out yet. Obviously they are out. Thanks,
  12. Keith, sent you a PM reference your bullets. Kevin
  13. G man Is lanolin like a cream? That is the only kind I can find.
  14. Leo, I might try some lanolin for 100 rounds and see how it is and Ill let you know. I might also get w/ Bobby and see if he has Lyman and ask him if I need to tumble loaded rounds w/ Lyman or not. The only problem is I dont have 2 hours to spare at his shop just for that! Ill let you know what I find.
  15. Cooter, Ive been using One Shot for 10 years, pretty familiar with that one. Just didnt know about the lanolin or lyman lube and if it makes the press run easier, I wanted to make sure you dont have to tumble loaded rounds. Otherwise, Ill stick with One Shot. Looking for something that will make the press run easier, but wont make me tumble loaded rounds.
  16. So you dont have to tumble finished loaded rounds when done after using lanolin oil? How about tumbling finished/loaded rounds w/ the Lyman lube? Anybody know? I will stick w/ whatever doesnt make me tumble the rounds, but also makes the press run easiest. What about the Teflon powder, where do you get it and how much of a difference does it make on operating the press? Thanks
  17. So, who won Prod, Lim and Lim 10. I figuring Dave won Lim 10, but how bout Prod and Lim? Thanks,
  18. Have the overalls been posted yet? The scores listed on USPSA's website for Area 6 scores only has some of the shooters shooting half the stages.
  19. Hop, Rodney shooting Lim w/ it? Have you seen him shoot it? I know he goes crazy w/ his 226 normally.
  20. You can line up the sights and start pulling the trigger, but you'd be amazed how much that muzzle will move in the last micro second as the gun is going off and how much of an effect it has on the grouping downrange. I have to OVER focus when shooting weak handed to really know the absolute millisecond the gun goes off that the sights are EXACTLY where I need them to be, otherwise, the rounds are to the right on the target.
  21. Great match by all involved!! Some very difficult shots and a HUGE Thank You to everyone who helped. BIG CONGRATS to all the division winners. You had to shoot a helluva match to win it this year. I also have to extend a big congrats to Jeff for winning Production. He shot an excellent match. He was Mr. Consistent from the 1st shot to the last. Every stage, he shot very good points w/ good times and didn't over extend himself on trying to go too fast and that makes for a very consistent finish overall in matches. I had a blowout on Stage 7 the was crushing. I kept waiting for Jeff to meltdown on one stage to open the door for me, but he stayed consistent. With the exception of one stage, he never finished below 4th in all the stages. Now that's consistentcy. Kevin Insco
  22. Shot a 8.29 HF today in Prod. Not sure where this will be, but looking at the scores, this could be a tough one to do well on.
  23. That makes sense actually... Ben, considering your finish at last years Nats, Id say you're in, you just havent seen it or got the call yet. If someone can finish 5th at an Area match and get it, you're a lock.
  24. GOOD DEAL, I just got the call last night for Area 6 performance. Nats slot in the mail to me. This is a good start for the year.
  25. Anybody hear anything on the 2008 Tenn Sec or 2008 Georgia State match yet? Thanks,
