  1. This does amazing things - after two weeks I was pain free. As long as I do it regularly I never hurt: https://www.absolutept.com/shooters-elbow/ Couple it with this... You will feel better very quickly. Been there and done both. Both help immensely.
  2. Huh. Mine are even and the plate takes all the wear, although the gun is barely 2,000 rounds old yet.
  3. What kind of rehab are you doing on your elbow? Working on it with weights can work wonders, without backing down your dryfiring.
  4. Question... How the heck did this spot get any wear or metal transferred to it in the first place? The firing pin retaining plate in front of it should have been taking all this wear, right?
  5. I think you're confusing bullet weight (115 grain or 124 grain or 147 grain) with power factor. bullet weight (grains) times velocity (feet per second) = power factor. While you will occasionally find some factory ammo that's really soft, 95% of the time you do not need to worry about power factor if you aren't reloading. Buy the cheapest stuff you can find in bulk, show up, and shoot it.
  6. "That lit the fuse, and hundreds (if not thousands) of gun rights supporters contacted WWP for clarification. The response was . . . a bit bland. Mostly it was along the lines of “We support the Second Amendment . . .,” but the WWP web site specifically called out the firearms industry as one it would not “co-brand” with. That is, it would not allow the use of its logo on guns (and it turns out, on knives, either.)" http://clashdaily.com/2012/12/wounded-warrior-project-ceo-confirms-organization-is-anti-gun-and-anti-knife/
  7. It has a tritium front sight. That make it tacticool as heck. It has to be legal. Because Operator. <this post contains 100% of your Recommended Daily Allowance of sarcasm>
  8. A friend of mine won SSP at a state championship in 08 from a thumb break leather holster with a stock Glock 19. Nothing wrong with getting really good with actual carry gear. After all, that was the original intent behind this game.
  9. typically when people are seen sweeping their support hand: either as it pulls aside your shirt/vest for either drawing or reholsteirng, or as it positions the holster to accept the firearm. You're most certainly incorrect about an IWB rig beneath a T-shirt being as fast as a straight-drop holster beneath a gaming vest, as well, but don't take that as discouraging you from shooting what you carry.
  10. A good all-kydex IWB allows easy 1-handed reholstering - as long as you're careful to sweep the shirt well away before going for the holster it's perfectly safe. Clearing the Tshirt with the off-hand is also easy to accomplish while staying a full foot wide of the holster.
  11. Thanks for the source! They're good stuff.
  12. An Optimized PD UberHammer was my first thought when DNROI said "Forget it, all hammers are go in production guns!"
  13. Buy a different case gauge. Your barrel is the ACTUAL guide and the only thing that truly matters when it comes to how reliable your ammo is. The gauge is just a convenient quasi-accurate substitute for testing ammo since taking your gun apart to chamber-check is annoying. Load ammo long enough it won't drop into your chamber, then slowly shorten it until it drops into the barrel *and* spins freely. Shorten that length about .005" as your starting length, and go shoot it over a chrono, and check it for accuracy @ 25yd. You'll end up with a shockbottle 100rd case gauge eventually. Might as well get it now. It's just plain preposterously convenient compared to doing them one at a time, plus they like long ammo just fine.
  14. Far better off. Especially because magwell - among a host of other reasons.
  15. Why load major? It won't help you in Limited - you'd need to build an Open gun in order to be scored Major if you're shooting 9mm.
  16. Good idea on the overtravel screw. Take it out entirely until the gun is running flawlessly: it's worth knowing for certain that it isn't a problem.
  17. Almost every gun will hit 6 pounds or so with a 13 pound PD and Titan/Bolo combination once its polished internally well enough. Spend much of your time sanding machine marks out of, and then polishing, the plunger assembly. No zipper feel allowed to remain when squeezed. The pins and their holes need an equally intense amount of attention if you hope to hit fiveish pounds someday. That said? Go shoot the guns bunch. After playing with springs and such like mad while shooting lots of matches, there's no difference between a 5.5 and a 7lb DA when there's a timer ticking. Practice is a better use of your energy than dremeling.
  18. Try it. If you scrap yours, I'll send you mine for $5 to cover shipping just because I'm curious.
  19. If you want a do it all powder and a simple load, 231. Load it up under coated 124s and call it good. Hard to beat that combination for versatility availability and price. You can shoot 147s but there really isn't that much difference between them and 124s - if you're on a budget, that's the way to go. (I personally prefer a variety of faster, softer powders like Prima V or E3 or Clay Dot, but they're not the "jack of all trades" you indicate you're after.)
  20. What happens in Double action? Is the overtravel screw removed from the trigger?
  21. I'm one of the few guys actually using it. With a Titan/bolo/etc, there isn't much benefit left. If you're going to run it, add loctite and then slowly tighten it until the hammer won't fall ... then back off a full turn. If you don't have enough overtravel, the half-cock notch on the hammer and the sear will hit as the hammer is on it's way forward. You'll have light strikes along with eventually damaging the sear.
  22. A quick googling of "Production Rules Magazine safety" and... See item #3. The answer is yes he can delete it: https://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-nroi-hottopics.php
  23. And by calibrated, you mean buy a new pair from China Depot... errr Harbor Freight... and chunk these in the trash Those will only be off by .002"!
