  1. 2 pairs of cleats. Maybe one will dry overnight.
  2. Any gun or magazine restrictions that might hang up a shooter?
  3. I used Rainier bullets in my SVI 38 super at 1365 fps with N350. A couple of batches (1000 each time) did fine. A later order did not hit a paper plate at 20 yards with the same load. I may have changed the bell or crimp which may have caused the problem. I'll stay with jacketed (MG or Zero or others) to avoid any "what if" that could arise. Saves time and effort. My two pennies. ap
  4. I met Charlie going through the Police Academy in Las Cruces in 1979. I later shot PPC matches with him in Raton after he retired. He was a true gentlemen and exemplar of the Border Patrol Tradition. I will miss him greatly. ap
  5. Precision Delta should be good. I use their 40's. They have always been great to deal with. I have had good luck with Rainier in 9mm in a Glock 17. I had a batch that I used in 38 super and they worked fine, then the next batch keyholed. I hear nothing but good about Montana Gold and am going to try some soon. Good luck!!
  6. That's about it. I see the point about a no shoot being a scoring target, but you wouldn't normally engage it on purpose. John, please chime in. Seems in the gray area.
  7. Randy, Had a similar situation before, but the swinger did move (was exposed prior to activation & was available before activation. You could shoot the swinger then the popper activator without penalty because it was not required to be activated first in the WSB. In this case you would have to hit the activator as it was a scoring target. If the shoot target in this case was disappearing, and not exposed before the activator was tripped, then clearly a penalty. In this case the shoot target never moves and is not a moving target. If it moved because of the activator, then also a penalty. Mi dos centavos.
  8. I respectfully disagree. The target is exposed, does not move, and there is no requirement to activate it in the WSB. Only the no shoot moves. If the shoot target moved, it would be a penalty. All the activator did was expose more of the shoot target, not make it available. Thanks!
  9. Had a partially exposed target (upper A & B visible), the rest covered by a no shoot. Stepping on a foot activator moved the no shoot out of the way, fully exposing the target. No requirement in the Written Stage Briefing to activate the moving no shoot nor to activate the foot activator. The shoot target was stationary. Is there a requirement to use the activator under these circumstances? I could not find it in the rule book, as the shoot target did not move, and there was no activator to shoot to cause it to move. Thanks, Allen
  10. +1 on the One Shot. I read about it on the forums, but had never used it as I have carbide dies. One shot, maybe two, what a difference in smoothness and ease of reloading.
  11. Could you post pictures of the modification? Thanks!!!
  12. I remember one hatching as a kid. I had hatched a mallard duck as a science project. He became very fat that year. We filled pickle jars full of the cicadas. YUM YUM.
  13. At the Nationals in 2005, I think it was, a shooter loaded, and then sat on the couch for the dark house stage. His gun slipped out of the holster when the muzzle hit the couch. He was done without firing a single shot, for the entire match. It was a Ghost Holster. That made a lot of us think and hold on when we sat down. FWIW, I like some cover on the muzzle, another point of contact. 012 with an Arredondo muzzle platform. ap
  14. Really nice, accurate bullets. I get them when Cabela's has them on sale, or pick them up at Cabela's when I can go by one. That being said, if the price is that close, go MGB!
  15. I use N-350, 7.9 with a 124 bullet. I tried 7625 and 3n38, but like the 350 better. SVI 4 port hybrid, noisy but effective!
  16. Sounds like the same luck I have been seeing. Last week the sights broke on my S & W. Luckily, great customer service got me a new set to put on and sight in before the SSN. Just found out the exhaust manifold on my truck rusted out. I'm leaving on a trip next Monday. Luckily, I have a great mechanic and it will (knock on wood) be fixed before I leave.
  17. That really stinks. The fire in Los Alamos a few years back nearly got my Dad's place. Pretty scary and nothing you can do but run!
  18. N 320. Smokes less than TG, very consistent, not very temp sensitive. Can use it with 9mm, 40 and 45 loads. Pricey, but works very well.
  19. Randy, Keep that darn stuff east of Lake Champlain. We've had enough!
  20. Great looking guns. How would the weight compare say, between a Fat Free and a Radical Precision?
  21. I ended up using 7.9 N350 with a 124 grain bullet in SV with 4 port hybird barrel + comp. Great load for me.
