  1. I believe the Northwest Section has more Production GM shooters than Production M shooters. What does that say, if anything?
  2. No standards type stage. Interesting.
  3. I'm not a fan of selling one gun in favor of purchasing another. Especially if the one you'd be selling is reliable, which I'm assuming it is. I got my Allround used. One of the previous owners swapped the original sear and safety lever for SRT equivalents. I'm not a fan of Sig's SRT. My point is that I can't really tell you what a stock Allround trigger pull is like. My guess is that it's probably very similar to every other DA/SA Sig fresh from the factory. A friend of mine shot a box stock P226 into IDPA Master. The idea that for a Sig to be competitive it has to Grayguns is false. I'm a big fan of GGI, but their work is not absolutely necessary. In my experience, dry fire and live fire does wonders for the trigger system. A trip to GGI can be done later on down the road when you have money available for their work.
  4. Your P226ST is a great platform. Especially if you send it off to GGI for their competition trigger package. They can shorten the reset to about a quarter of the factory length. They've also gotten really good at smoothing and lightening the DA and SA trigger pulls while maintaining primer ignition reliability. No doubt about it, the X-Five series are rifles in pistol form when it comes to accuracy. An Allround won't magically turn Mikes into Alphas. The shooter still has to watch the sights and press the trigger correctly without disturbing the sights. For $1300, you can purchase a couple cases of ammo and take a shooting class that will probably help you more in the long run compared to just purchasing a new pistol. Then again if you have money to burn and really want a new pistol, an Allround is a fine choice. Every Sig enthusiast should own at lease one German made Sig.
  5. Neat video as usual. I wonder when the match results are going to be posted?
  6. I've been playing around with an Allround for about two months now. When it works, it shoots like a dream. It really is a rifle in pistol form. I've had serious extraction issues with my Allround. The internal extractor is flaky at best. Kept reasonably clean, the external extractor on the stainless slide P226s works flawlessly. It's a real shame an external extractor wasn't fitted onto the X-Five lineup.
  7. Somehow 87 other people had no problems with the boat...
  8. X-Fives do shoot really well, but they can be quite a headache if the extractor isn't tuned exactly right. Too much tension, failure to feed. Too little tension, failure to extract. Perfect tension is a razor's edge.
  9. Its on....you're in Squad 6 along with Yong Lee. Its going to be HOT this weekend! Are the squad lists posted?

    Sig Mosquito

I'd stay away from the Mosquito. The .22LR conversion kits would be a much better choice if you already have a P220, P226, or P229 frame.
  11. I remember that class. Can't believe it was nearly three years ago. Time flies...
  12. Go to Nationals. See how you do and base your decision off of those results.
  13. Why an adjustable rear sight? I think you'd be really happy with a Dawson Precision fiber optic front and either a Sig factory rear (that's been blacked out) or a Warren Tactical rear.
  14. Yup, he wears a CED 7000 on one biceps and a Body Bugg on the other biceps.
  15. Eight stages in two days?! Let's not over exert ourselves! Any possible way to make this a one day match? I don't want to drive from Seattle to Custer twice and I don't want to get a hotel either. Me thinks someone in charge has stock in the local hotels...
  16. It's hard to tell from the video, but what were you using and what are you using now for magazine pouches?
  17. Nice shooting Aristotle! My worst match performance in a long time. Nothing quite like being completely let down by your equipment.
  18. Just as a word of caution, the Coppertone aerosol stuff stains clothing yellow, so be careful with it around your collars and sleeves.
  19. Rodney May shot the standards stage of last year's Production Nationals in pink slippers. Their last stage of the match and I guess his feet were tired.
  20. I spent one year as a B and one month as an A. Too much to work on before even thinking about pushing for the G.
