Who told you that it was the shooters fault you weren't fast enough to get out of the way?! I'm definitely NOT implying anything personal here. Lets face it, we've all been run by an RO that we flatly outran. IMO, it's RO interface, no different than the RO running into the shooter.

Is the match going to happen? It has been canceled in past years. I have a motel and a five hour drive so I need to know!!! Email Sam. He's the match director. He sent an email yesterday that he needs to know who is coming.

Does using vs. not using a recoil buffer change the way an Open gun feels and reacts? If so what is the difference... flatter, softer, more or less flip?

Another 1st rate match by the Wayne County crew! These guys make the haul from the NE corner of Ohio to Detroit well worth it! Even with a minor problem with Practiscore delaying the start a bit we shot 9 stages (took me 228 rounds). The 7 field courses all offered multiple ways to shoot them and on my squad you often saw them shot different ways. There were, IMO, just enough reactive targets to keep it really fun but not so many that stage reset times got long. Just like every other match I've shot at WC, I really can't say enough good. From the setup crew that puts these excellent stages on the ground to the stats department, these guys rock. If you've ever thought about going it's my opinion you should. I'm already looking forward to next months match!

Huh! I'd rather have it the other way around (for trips to the chrono) More powder my friend! At least in my experience I've always been able to find a velocity comfortably over Minor / Major that yields very good accuracy. My Schuemann barrel likes more powder. It will shoot into a paster at 25 running my current load. At just over major, let's just say it was... unimpressive.

The more consistent the weight, the more consistent the velocity. That gives the potential for a more accurate load. Is it really that important for USPSA? Usually not, but when there are mini poppers at 45 to 50 yards it's nice to know that your gun will shoot one inch groups at that distance. Getting that accuracy with a bullet that varies in weight is more times than not harder than with a consistent bullet weight.

Consistent weight is what matters. I'd much rather have my "115" bullets weigh 114.63, 114.78 and 114.57 than 115.3, 115.9 and 116.2. And yes those are 114 numbers are the actual weights of the three 115 JHP bullets I reached in and grabbed.

Oh yea, Prop Breakers Inc. will be there. I've been working up a new load to help the prop design engineering department with durability testing.

I have the Redding and the Hornady. They are very similar in operation but the Redding uses a spring in it to keep pressure on the bullet through the seating process. The Hornady uses a free sliding sleeve. I like both with a slight preference for the Redding. Both seat off the ogive of the bullet instead of the nose.

Put those rounds in the "Pull the bullets" bin. Don't shoot em. Longshot is a powder that can build very high pressure very quickly. When your head says "I'm concerned" LISTEN! I agree! In my limited testing Longshot gets a bit funky as pressures come up. If that little voice in your head isn't happy, take heed.

Oh yea, American Shooters has it down to a science! They put a number on the box when they get it and have a list with names and numbers. They check the list by name and get the numbered box. Done. They had a separate room for it last year.

Check the hotels policy on receiving packages. Some charge a fee to receive it and then add a surcharge based on weight

How did you "tilt" the chrono? Side to side or front up/down? You need to have the sensors as much in a straight line with the bullet travel as possible. Having the sensors tilted up/down in relation to the bullet path essentially changes the distance between them. Up/down would usually show a higher fps but you may not have been level to start with.

Shooters Connection would be where I'd start... they have great service and support the sport. They carry Caspian slides and Schuemann barrels. They also have practically every other part you'll need or want.

I bought a used 1050 about a year ago. I didn't have it bolted down right until I removed the ratchet. I haven't missed it.

I had one that I had a shield on and had to sight it before every match or it was off. I took the shield off and put the regular plate back on and it held zero just fine after that. I don't know why but my guess was that because the shield hits on the top of dot module temperature changes caused the plastic to shift and move the module around just a bit. I never did try it but I wondered if taking the shield off, putting a bit of soap on top of the module then reinstalling the cover would let it pull down without torquing the module?

You don't have a glare shield on it do you?

What Corey said. Sounds like not enough media / brass to me. That's what mine does if there isn't enough weight in it.
