  1. Hey Bart...I love the analogy here it is quite self explanatory. With reference to the firearms portion...a magazine has a spring and follower and a clip does not. Do you mind if I use this photo in my next Hunter Education class? The kids in my classes love photos and graphic displays.
  2. Team Firebird is group of shooters who are all very nice top notch people. We have fun shooting and we support one another with all aspects of competition. Firebird Precision manufactures the AR15 rifle and also some very innovative accessories. Take a look at our website and you may recognize our team shirt and our members. Firebird here... If you ever see one of us at match...please come by and say hello!
  3. Welcome! Glad you joined us. I also shoot a 22/45 in Ruger Rimfire Series matches and a modified 10/22. Great fun!
  4. Lothar Walther specs... Cookies? I love maple cookies! Although, you wouldn't believe what I can make Jim do for a steak...
  5. Wanted to revive this conversation... I also have an unlocked iPhone 3G working on T-Mobile...its awesome! I do all my surfing on wi-fi...no 3G out here in the boonies. I've only had it less than a month so still learning how to make stuff work. I got facebook working but cannot get my email to work. Help?
  6. Thanks for posting this info Bart! It looked like a scam right off but it did make me think of Matt being stranded. Hackers play right into our emotions. somanobatches!
  7. Yes I did wonder how he did it. Although he didn't come across as a skilled gunsmith at any time during the movie. However, during the scene where he obviously had something in mind by disassembling the brief case...(he had that look. ) I knew something was in the works. The acting was dreadful by all the actors. It was painful for me to keep waiting for the intriguing part which never occured. I did however enjoy the view of the winding road. But the maze of a community where he lived would not be a good choice for someone coming home drunk.
  8. Threads merged. - Admin. A sexy suspense thriller? No Riveting and irresistible? No This movie is boring! Yes I guess I'm not a Clooney fan either but Roger Ebert, please don't try to tell me this movie is "Gripping". The only thing I wanted to grip was the stop button on the remote. I should have learned how boring Clooney was when I bought the movie Solaris from the bargain shelf. This is yet another boring, boring waste of money and time...Yawn. If anyone knows of a more boring movie...please tell me.
  9. Sweetheart....I told you it works much better when you hit the macro button. But, if you are closer than 4 inches you need to hit it again for super macro. Nice pics nice finish....but the shop stinks.
  10. Good article...nothing negative from the WSJ. Looks like fun!
  11. I love Cribbage! Have played for many years since tech school. Taught all the kids and grandkids how to play...my granddaughter beat me once when she was 6 years old. Fun game...great stress reliever. Thanks for the heads-up on the app...I'll be looking for that.
  12. Oh, my heart is breaking for you Dude! I know how difficult it is to deal with the accountant. So sorry for your loss. Insurance claim for sure. It was so cold here that our water froze in the night and the morning shower and toilet both failed. Good thing I made the coffee the night before.
  13. :Edited: And as for the movie...The Real Rooster is gone ...I doubt his shoes could EVER be filled Jim
  14. I was fairly certain that your snack would resemble this... Lots of water is important. (start hydrating a few days before a match) I'm more inclined to make a PBJ with almond butter and honey or all natural preserves on wheat-free/gluten-free bread. To be followed by...the best jerky! Bar-X for sure but also Sante Fe Trail brand with red chile or pepper.(no fake stuff) A good friend and great shooter recently explained to me how to plan the evening meal. "A big hunk of meat with plenty of green stuff to move it out." A simple communicator he is.
  15. I have really enjoyed this show! It gets quite exciting watching the shoot-offs even when I already know who won! They might need to make it an hour long so they can showcase the match and shoot-off in one sitting. Congrats FN USA...You did real good on this one!
  16. Yeppers, Costco does take good care of their customers. It took a few extra moments to figure it out but they did resolve it in the end. Unlike several other companies who "**** you at the drive-through"!!!!!
  17. I want to apologize to all the competitors who are having issues with their firearms being shipped. I have been hosed over by UPS...again. After I triple checked with UPS to be sure that my estimates were correct and my procedures were followed...to the letter, I was charged more to ship your packages than I had estimated to you at the FFL table. Some of you have been sent an email explaining the problems I encountered...I still have a few left to send. I want to thank each of you who have graciously agreed to send me the difference in price. Again, I want to apologize as some of you ended-up paying an outrageous shipping fee! We did not charge anyone for the FFL transfer but are just trying to break even with shipping and boxes. There are still a few yet to be shipped and I plan to use the Post Office instead of UPS to keep the fees lower. I will email you the information you need. Thank you for your understanding. ~Nanci
  18. Agree...glad they're not roaming around the country stealing and murdering and creating fear amongst the citizenry.
