  1. ditto...Good God what an ordeal! Chris, I hope you are doing better now...that sounds like a miserable handful of weeks. I had my surgery many years ago to fix a deviated septum. I had suffered with sinus infections and allergies for years. The surgery made a difference but not perfectly satisfied with the results. I found the Neti-Pot to be the best solution. I try to use it once a week with raw sea salt and warm water. Keeps the sinus infections away and the allergy headaches too. The only problem I have now is when the barometric pressure drops I can feel it. Especially if I have not used the Neti-Pot. Low pressure=sinus headache Hope you are back to normal soon...
  2. I think Denny should have volunteered to be eliminated. And, Kelly did a great job of overcoming the mental anguish and performing well. Great job Kelly!
  3. Happy Birthday to all! And big hug and kiss for the guy who wears the kilt! Happy B-day Craig!
  4. You are quite welcome! And thank you for the compliment George...I hope I expressed the same welcome to all the shooters.
  5. Don, we were so sorry to hear about you throwing your back out. It's been a rough year for you. Take good care of that back and don't rush it...I speak from experience!
  6. I want to thank Brownells for sponsoring our 6th Annual High Desert Classic Match and for their continued support of the shooting sports. All the people at Brownells are friendly and helpful and represent a remarkable company! Thanks Larry!
  7. I want thank Brian for sponsoring our 6th Annual High Desert Classic at Albuquerque. Your book and slide-glide are great products and very popular choices off the prize table! Thanks for the support and thanks for all the work you do to support the shooting sports. (I'll get your banner back to you this week )
  8. I want to thank all the sponsors who helped support the 6th Annual High Desert Classic match and make this the best prize table ever. All these prizes were strictly donations from these generous sponsors. There were 58 prizes that had a value of more than $100 and the other prizes were put together to create $100 in retail value. So all 169 competitors received at least $100 in prizes. This was a wonderful experience for us. MGM, Sportsman's Warehouse, Practical Shooting Academy, Cameron's Custom Guns, Rudy Project, Montana Gold, Bar-Sto Precision, Glock, Caliber's, Ergo Grips, DR Performance Shooting, Truck Vault, Precision Bullets, Firebird Precision Firearms, STI International, Shooters' Connection, Advantage Tactical Sight, The Outdoorsman, M2i, C-More, Sierra Bullets, Schuemann Barrels, CPWSA, Brian Enos, Precision Arms, Glock Triggers/Glockworx, Freedom Gunworks, The Bulletworks, Brownells, Starline Brass, Springer Precision, 5.11 Tactical, Lead Tech Wipes, Paisano's Italian Restaurant, New Mexico Ruger Rimfire, Axial Video, Unique Tek, Babes with Bullets, Ron Peterson Guns, C&M Target Systems, Zero Bullet Co., Midway USA, Lauer Custom Weaponry and Grams Engineering. Please thank all of these sponsors for their on-going support of our sport. And, please remember to support them with your next purchase of any shooting related products! These vendors continue to support the shooters...let's support them in return. Thanks again to all our sponsors and thanks to Brian Enos for providing us with this forum where we can show our support and talk about shooting related issues. Ok, where's the next match?
  9. So, I'm almost recovered from the exhaustive weekend. The match was awesome...the stages were great and truly tested the shooter. It was pretty darn hot out there and I think I may have drank 6 gallons of water and still felt dehydrated. Squad 1 was the best! Thanks to everyone on squad 1. We had a fun time and everyone helped to reset the stages. It was a chore to sort all that 38 super comp brass...blue rings, fat red marks, thin red X's, no mark with brass primers and no mark with silver primers and also the one with the red circle around the primer... See y'all next year!
  10. Match is closed for self-squadding but looks like 2 slots left. The props for this years' match are quite clever and will test the skills and abilites of each competitior. One might make you sea-sick and the guillotine can slice your competition down to a manageable size. I want to give a big Thank You to "whatmeworry" for his tedious work and effort in building these awesome props!
  11. Wow...only 3 slots left to get into the High Desert Classic! And self-squadding ends tomorrow! I noticed several shooters have not yet chosen a squad...does that mean I get to choose for them? BTW, a big thanks to NMBOpen for the awesome job of handling all those match apps and keeping it all straight!
  12. The C-More STS is a bright dot even in the bright sunshine. The sight is wider than most. You can remove/replace the battery without taking the sight off...it has a little tray on the side...easy to change battery.
  13. Thank you for this great post! This has been my thought for many years. We have our own microcosm of like-minded individuals who enjoy a competitive sport and are always willing to help you with the details. Some of the finest people I have ever met have been on the shooting range!
  14. Happy Birthday Jason!!!!! And Happy Birthday to all!
  15. Thanks for all the Birthday wishes! I'm 39 plus shipping and handling. Just got home from a weekend on the lake. Caught a sunburn and 1 fish. Thanks for the cigar Eric! And I have a great fish recipe for Jimmy Zip. Roll the cut-up pieces of fish in yellow mustard and Louisiana Hot Sauce. Then roll in corn flour/corn meal to fry. Yummy!
  16. Happy Birthday Nemo! Captain Nemo: The natives over there are cannibals. They eat liars with the same enthusiasm as they eat honest men.
  17. Wow how time flys when you're having fun! The match is only one month away. Get your pirate voices ready....RRRRRRRR I've had a wonderful response from all the vendors I've contacted for support of our match. The long list of sponsors have sent awesome prizes for our random draw prize table. Please be sure to support these vendors and show your appreciation for supporting our shooting sport. Sportsman's Warehouse, The Practical Shooting Academy, Rudy Project, Montana Gold, Bar-Sto Precision, Glock...big thanks to Dave S., Calibers...our local indoor shooting range, DR Performance Shooting, Truck Vault...what's in your drawers? When I get more responses I'll update this list. Thank you all for supporting our match!
  18. I started watching this show during the first season and found it somewhat interesting... But when one of our "adult" children got involved with Meth I was so pissed about the issue I had to quit watching the show as it was no longer "entertaining". And, as the show is filmed here in NM, I hate to be reminded of the culture of corruption that is spreading.
  19. Pics Pics Pics Pics.... I wanna see the new ION Bond finish...what color did you get?
  20. My Saiga will run any ammo I feed it...but I only do that for practice because stuff happens. At a match I've used the Remmy Gun Clubs, and the Remmington STS...light target and light handicap. For slugs I use the Winchester 1 oz. WinLite and/or the Rangers.
  21. That was no Tabby Cat...that was a freakin Mountain Lion But he has since moved the trash trailer further away from his favorite "relief" spot
  22. "R" is the only letter in the alphabet according to pirates! (insert raspy pirate voice)
  23. Don't listen to him AJ... Welcome to the forum we are always talking about. You are safe here.... But what the heck is Hot Rod Zilla? You been flying on 2 wheels?
  24. He'll be here all week folks. Please tip your waitresses!!!! LOL That's just funny!
