  1. Z Hunter Charter Member/New member Nomination Committe Chairman Dear Chairman, I submit these previously posted photos of my Single Stack 1911 45. I am aware that several parts are missing from my pistol and I do believe that my husband knows where they are. Notice the photo of his gun. I started shooting the SS 45 in USPSA competition in 1987 with a Gold Cup National Match pistol given to me by my near perfect husband. If you accept "girls" in your snobby elitist club (I do know The Little Rascals "He-Man Woman Haters Hi Sign" if that helps my chances any) please consider my application. ps. I can think of at least one charter member that I beat in 3 stages at this year's Western States Single Stack match in the lovely Mesa, AZ. ~Nanci~ Nanci Your credentials are outstanding, but I will have to defer to Merlin regarding the female membership. Merlin, your call on this one, but I can vouch for her use and love of JMB's design The snobs are design and brand snobs rather than gender discriminators... No need to even pause on this one. As Nanci truly represents the female shooter in the most positive manner possible it would be a travesty to even consider not accepting her into this collection of snobs.... To Nanci! Merlin, I am humbled by your gracious words of support and acceptance. I enjoy shooting with guys like you who treat women equally as competitors while also treating us as ladies. I shall strive to represent your club of elitist owners of John Brownings' timeless invention: the 1911 handgun. I will endeavor to keep my nose high in the air and scorn tupperware. ~Nanci~

  3. OMG that is funny. I always wondered what those exercise balls were made of.
  4. Yes I can read it but I don't like it. Sorry, it's an obsession with me. Monk moment.
  5. Dang, that's a big fiber optic sight. What size is that? I gotta get me one of these...(Will Smith in Independence Day)
  6. My app is leaving soon. If Jim behaves, I'll send one for him too.
  7. You have honored your father by speaking so highly of him. His generation knew that there is a time for plowshares and a time for swords. I pray our generation and the next learns from these men and women. So sorry for your loss.
  8. I wonder if Don knows that his wife's name has been changed to Cheryl...he he he
  9. Thanks for the vote of confidence Miranda... I had a great time watching the "boys" mess with eachother all weekend...we had a ton of laughs! I only beat Jim in the 2 stages that he totally messed up and I beat Jay in 4 stages where he messed up. I had a couple of really bad stages myself...that Texas Star kicked my butt! I learned something important though..I can see the dot on my open gun but I'm gonna need glasses to see the sights on a single stack. Getting old ain't for whimps!
  10. Ouch...you will tell us if you shoot the chrono...yes?
  11. Welcome crookr...enter at your own risk. just kidding!
  12. That's probably an indication that they pay no attention at all to other vehicles around them. (including you) I would avoid these vehicles completely. I bet they're more dangerous without the snowy window warning...
  13. Right On Siggy...he needs all the spell checker help he can get.
  14. This is funny...what a timeless question. Speaking of timeless questions... Why do men leave the toilet seat up, why do they have to be told to take out the trash, and why is it funny when they have gas? edited to add a missing word
  15. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
  16. I enjoyed your story...thanks for sharing that with us!
  17. When in doubt...gas it! (that's a motorcycle technical term)
  18. Check out the bonus material on the DVD...you can step through the time-line and read each fact individually. One fact that I was unaware of was mentioned in the timeline... In 1973, during the oil embargo when Americans had to wait in lines for gas and also find gas stations completely out of gas... It was a backlash for anyone who supported the Israelis in the Yom Kippur War. I have a lot of studying to do.
  19. I was just wondering the same thing. I don't think I've ever seen a pink leopard...is there a tint control button?
  20. I love Tiger Lillies...very nice photo! I took 2nd place in our community photo contest 2 years ago and they made a post card of it. It was fun...hope you do well. Good luck!
  21. I've seen the 1911 STI cutaway before but this AR15 demo is awesome. I just had an educational experience reviewing the innermost functions of this firearm. Jim's been trying to explain this to me for 20 years and the light just went on. Thank you!
  22. Don't matter if you look good...can you see and can you shoot...that's what matters to me. Happy Birthday
  23. +1 Nemo...it went a bit fast for my slow brain but the history lesson was enlightening. We got the dvd for Christmas and just got finished watching it...it was awesome! You should have seen Jim cheering when the lady FBI agent dispatched the big bad guy with her blade. Oops, sorry to reveal details but it is an exciting, action packed movie. A must see!!!!! ps. What a miserable place to live.
