I am aware that several parts are missing from my pistol and I do believe that my husband knows where they are. Notice the photo of his gun. I started shooting the SS 45 in USPSA competition in 1987 with a Gold Cup National Match pistol given to me by my near perfect husband. If you accept "girls" in your snobby elitist club (I do know The Little Rascals "He-Man Woman Haters Hi Sign" if that helps my chances any) please consider my application. ps. I can think of at least one charter member that I beat in 3 stages at this year's Western States Single Stack match in the lovely Mesa, AZ. ~Nanci~ Nanci Your credentials are outstanding, but I will have to defer to Merlin regarding the female membership. Thanks for the vote of confidence Miranda... I had a great time watching the "boys" mess with eachother all weekend...we had a ton of laughs! I only beat Jim in the 2 stages that he totally messed up and I beat Jay in 4 stages where he messed up. I had a couple of really bad stages myself...that Texas Star kicked my butt! I learned something important though..I can see the dot on my open gun but I'm gonna need glasses to see the sights on a single stack. Getting old ain't for whimps!

Check out the bonus material on the DVD...you can step through the time-line and read each fact individually. One fact that I was unaware of was mentioned in the timeline... In 1973, during the oil embargo when Americans had to wait in lines for gas and also find gas stations completely out of gas... It was a backlash for anyone who supported the Israelis in the Yom Kippur War. I have a lot of studying to do.

I've seen the 1911 STI cutaway before but this AR15 demo is awesome. I just had an educational experience reviewing the innermost functions of this firearm. Jim's been trying to explain this to me for 20 years and the light just went on. Thank you!

+1 Nemo...it went a bit fast for my slow brain but the history lesson was enlightening. We got the dvd for Christmas and just got finished watching it...it was awesome! You should have seen Jim cheering when the lady FBI agent dispatched the big bad guy with her blade. Oops, sorry to reveal details but it is an exciting, action packed movie. A must see!!!!! ps. What a miserable place to live.
