BigDave
Does anyone have any experience with Caspian based open blasters built by Craig Custom?
Loves2Shoot
I've know a couple guys that have had them. He builds a good gun.
eric nielsen
He makes some of the best ones, and has done that for years. For Caspian, your top 3 guys (in no order) are Matt McLearn, EGW, and Craig.
99gski
Fred's gunsmithing is top rate! I highly reccomend his work. When I first joined the Army I couldn't get a single gun to run for me in the AMU's Arms Room. I bit the bullet and bought a plastic frame race gun Fred built and it runs flawlessly to this day. I have also shot a Caspian he built for me and have never had a hitch with it. Best wishes with your possible new purchase! Julie Goloski
rhino
I don't know anything about Craig Custom and their Caspian race guns . . . I just wanted to post a message next to Ms. Goloski's. I'M NOT WORTHY!
TDean
Easy...easy... Although you do have to like a gal that's good with a gun AND brews her own beer. (what's your fav brew Julie? I make a mean oatmeal stout @ 7%ABV, but I'm still trying to get my IPA to not taste like grapefruit )
99gski
So flattered! I think I am blushing... As for the beer... Sadly I haven't brewed much and am in the process of selling all my equipment. But when I brewed my IPA, I added some molasses. Gives it a bit of kick and at the same time takes a bunch of the sour out. Makes it a bit darker too, but I like dark beer. Watch your sugars though so you don't blow up bottles! All the best, Julie
Rufus The Bum
Julie: Are you still with the AMU? I thought I heard somewhere you are no longer with it, or did you get out of the Army?
99gski
Both. Out of the Army and the AMU. I got out last spring. Thanks for asking though!

Bill Schwab
Does Craig still have mag bodies for the caspian guns? Anyone? To the best of my knowledge he is no longer a 'smith nor marketing gun products.

BigDave
Didn't one of Fred's new guns make the cover of one of the recent gun rags? Kind of a cross between a P7 and Glock something or other?
diehli
That's the one that I was referring to. M11 Merc was on the cover of American Handblunder (and the article did it NO justice... shocking). Looks pretty cool... custom dealy if I read right.
