Aaaaaaand he's already finished with them. I agree with Addict, he is one of the best stats guru in the sport. Dan, do you want me to bring some Loctite to Oxford tomorrow so we can get your rear sight under control?

It is always a great match at Circleville. I wish we had the same pistol bays that they have. I'm getting everything ready for Area 8 which will more than likely be my last major match of the season. I want to put in a good showing on this one.

The updates are in and it looks like I am out of "B" class!!!!!!

Granted, I just barely made it, but I will take it. Now I need to back my new found class up with a good result at Area 8.

Bring it like only you can Dan!!

I have my gear ready to go already. Rented a car for the trip and have a hotel. All the admin stuff out of the way and it's time to get a little dry fire in. I have one local match and a range qualification before the Area 8. I should be able to get some live fire practice during lunch while at the police range. I'm going to work on transitions and splits. I'm losing a lot of time and points with not being smooth in my movement. Calling my shots is another area I could use some work. Of course it doesn't help when you are worried about your sites falling off your pistol. I have fixed that problem...again!! Micah, if you are listening, I want you to pull out the production gear for the MRPC match. I want to see where I am losing so much time!!!! This looks to be one of my bigest failings. I need to work this out or Master class is a far off dream.

I had a great match at my club today. My runs were a lot smoother and a little faster. I had a couple of mikes on one stage just trying to push it a little too hard. I'll have to see where I land after the scores are done. Shaun Hopkins was shooting production and was doing well so if I come in 2nd I'll be happy. I have to qualify tomorrow at the police range so I will get just a little more trigger time in before the Area 8. This will probably be my last major of the season so I want it to be a good one.

I will make it a good one!

A friend of mine recently told me that you should always look to the stuff that went right in a match and build on that to boost your self image. When I look back on the 2010 Area 8 I can take confidence in the fact that I didn't DQ.....and that is about it. Maybe I had too high an expectation or maybe I had a couple of really bad days of shooting. Who knows? All I can say is that I am glad it is over. The staff was great and the stages were cool. Some stages, like stage 3, were meant to make you a hero or zero....literally! I'm one of the zero's. I'm looking forward to the rest of my local matches before I hang up the pistol for a few months. I have a lot of planning to do for next year and I need to start working on that. Thanks Chris for TRYING to keep my spirits up.

I haven't posted in my diary for a while mainly because I have been busy with other things. With the Bengals and the Reds playing games along with all the other things going on downtown I have been picking up a lot of details to help pay for "stuff". I did get out to Oxford last Sunday and managed to take Production but I don't feel like I should have. I had way too many mistakes. Probably because I just haven't been shooting as much as I should have. I have a list of things I would like to work on during my off season most of which have to do with making up some time. I watch videos of myself shooting and I see choppy movement. It doesn't look smooth! I have one or two locals left before I'm done for the season and then I start working on improving those things. I also have a workout schedule and an eating plan all laid out on a calendar. For now I am working on getting the 2011 Ohio Sectional rolling. I have a lot of little things to do to make sure this match turns out the way I want it to.

Well it has been an up and down year for me. The last match for the year for my club is over and I finished on a high note. No, I didn't take my division but I'm content with 2nd considering the guy above me was a GM. I have one local match left before I give it up for 4 months. That leads me into my training schedule. My plan is, for the most part, the same as last years except this time I'm GOING to stick to my plan. I have a calendar all filled out and a plan for each day over the next 5 months. I will also be busy with working on getting my CRO card and on the Ohio Sectional. I have plenty to do while not shooting matches. Don't wish me luck......I won't need LUCK!

Now that 2010 is over I'm working on 2011. My diet and workout plan are almost on track. I have been eating correctly but the workout portion of my plan is coming along slower. I have had to go to court a lot lately and, as is the norm, I am finding it difficult to find time to do a proper workout. I have court again today and I plan to walk the stairs to get in a little cardio while I'm there. If I get out early I'm going to try to make it to the park for a little more. It's suppose to be a nice day.

The planning for the Ohio Sectional is coming along. There are so many things to put together to make a good match and I want this to be a great match. I won't be posting on my diary for a while. I want to concentrate on all the other stuff I have to get done before the next season starts for me in March. The one thing that I have learned in my short time in this sport is that the off season goes by fast.

It has been a while since I posted anything on my range diary and it getting close to my shooting season so I thought I would add something so I can find it. My gear is ready to go and I have a new coating on my pistols with sights that WON'T fall off thanks to Bobby and Freedom Gunworks.

I have been busy during the last few months getting ready for this season. We have one regular USPSA match and one classifier match at our club prior to the Ohio Sectional so we have to get all the gear ready to go. We will be working on getting new bases for our Pepper Poppers, new skins for our Mini Poppers, new activator sticks for all the activators (X3), adding more target stands and adding more painted fault lines. We are also going to clean out our barn.

The planning for the Ohio match is going great. I have the greatest bunch of people making sure that this is a great match. My only worry is making sure we get a good turn out. If the Buckeye Challenge was any indication of how this is going to go, we should be getting a lot more shooters sign up in the next month or 2. We have to make this match a good one so that our club will allow furture large matches. As MLK said, "I have a dream". My "Dream" is to make USPSA grow at MRPC. We have been putting on Beginner Courses for our members for a few years now and have always had a good response from them. This year we are holding 2 more and the first class in March is nearly sold out.

I need to get some trigger time before the Alabama sectional. I may try to make Miamisburg next month to shake off the rust. I will be adding more dry fire sessions starting today. I need to work on speeding up my movement.

My goals for this season:

1) Have a good time with friends.

2) Smooth out my movement, speed up and not lose my accuracy.

3) Make Master in Production.
