Too Dark?

So I bit it. No one else in the store that I worked at would do it.

A guy, named Lucky, incidentally, walked into the department store I worked at, up to the gun case and, when no one was looking (or in the vicinity), smashed the case open with a hammer and stole a Beretta 92. Taste aside, he was an idiot: he left the store, got the trigger guard off, and within about an hour, pointed it at a State Trooper during a traffic stop and got (correctly) shot down.

The gun was returned to us (the store) after a year. It has minor wear and tear (from being dropped) and I bought it, when no one else would, for $300. Never fired. used... er... once.

I personally wouldn't let that gun in my house, let alone my safe. But then, that's just me. I believe in gun purity where possible.

But HighVelocity has a point, in that it was instrumental in taking out the trash.......

Still, I wouldn't have it. But that's just me.

If you listen to the gun grabbers talk about guns, they see them as magical things. They are evil in and of themselves---in their view. I don't think like that. The gun is now in the right hands, so it is a tool to do good things.

Just say no to sympathetic magic. ;)

I think it's a great story, I'd tell it everytime you take it to the range. Never shot, only dropped once...lol

+100! What a great story. How often have you heard one like that? Never. Too cool. The funniest part is the guys moniker was Lucky. I'd get that engraved on the side when I won my first match with that gun.

I have guns used by Nazis and Soviets--mostly to kill each other, but still. It's just a gun.

I too have guns that have been used for great good...and great evil.

The gun will have the morals of the man who weilds it.

Just another tool...use it.

Place the gun in a chalk drawn pentagram on a wood floor.

Chant

DARKSOME NIGHT AND SHINNING MOON

EAST THEN SOUTH THEN WEST THEN NORTH

HARKEN TO THE WITCHES RUNE

HERE I COME TO CALL YE FORTH

EARTH AND WATER AIR AND FIRE

WAND AND PENTACLE, FEATHER AND SWORD

WORK YE UNTO MY DESIRE

HARKEN YE UNTO MY WORDS

CORDS AND CENSER, SCOURGE AND KNIFE

POWER OF THE WITCHES BLADE

WAKEN ALL YE INTO LIFE

COME YE AS THE CHARM IS MADE

QUEEN OF ASGARD, VANAHEiM & ALFHEiM

HORNED HUNTER OF THE NIGHT

LEND YOUR POWER UNTO MY SPELL

AND WORK MY WILL MY MAGIC RITE

BY ALL THE POWER OF LAND AND SEA

BY ALL THE MIGHT OF MOON AND SUN

AS I DO WILL....SO MOTE IT BE

CHANT THE SPELL AND BE IT ...DONE...

BEGONE all evil spirts and forces within this gun!

Simple as that....

A lot of my guns have a dark past, or at least parts of them do.

A revolver used in a suicide is the only one I have the whole story on, but as a police armorer my Grandpa had to destroy a lot of guns used in crimes or picked up off of criminals. Back then they only had to destroy the frame or serial numbered part, i guess, so many of the guns in my collection are pieced together with parts from crime guns.

One of my favorites is a chrome 70 series 1911 with mother of pearl grips, a pimp gun picked up from an actual 70's pimp... had to be rebuilt on an essex arms frame, but the effect is the same :D
